Story
Sweet RosieJust like her name, Rosie is as sweet as a rose! This affectionate 1.5-year-old beauty was found caring for her kittens and brought into a loving foster home where she could raise them safely. Now that her babies are grown, Rosie is fully vetted—spayed, tested, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy—and ready to begin a life of her own.Rosie loves being close to her person. She gently rubs against her foster’s legs for attention, happily soaks up chin and cheek scratches, and follows her foster around the house like a little shadow. At bedtime, she curls up on the bed for cozy snuggles. She’s also playful and energetic—she’ll chase her favorite string toy endlessly and zoom after tossed balls and toy mice with delight.Rosie would thrive as an only cat, but she’s shown curiosity toward other felines and will likely do well with a friendly male kitty after a slow, thoughtful introduction. She’s not expected to be a good fit with dogs, as she has no known experience with them.A wonderful blend of affection and fun, Rosie will make a loving, devoted companion for the lucky person who brings her home.To learn more or inquire about adopting Rosie, please email Patricia at dpcadams@comcast.net.For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgDecember 1, 2025, 6:06 am

Story
Meet Noel, A truly special senior girl with a heart as soft as her long, beautiful coat. Noel’s journey brought her to us around Christmas, when she was found as a stray and taken in for care. She arrived with a respiratory infection, and through her microchip we learned more of her story from a shelter in Alaska. Noel has allergies and, due to dental issues in her past, all of her teeth were removed—something that doesn’t slow her down one bit. She eats well and is perfectly content. At some point in her life she was also declawed, but this does not affect her ability to comfortably and reliably use the litter box. What truly makes Noel shine is her personality. She is the absolute sweetest girl—gentle, affectionate, and craving human companionship. She loves being brushed and will happily soak up all the attention you’re willing to give. Her long coat will require regular brushing, which she considers a bonus rather than a chore.Noel is looking for a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years feeling safe, cherished, and adored. If you’re searching for a loyal companion who will reward you with endless affection and quiet companionship, Noel may be your perfect match. &#226&#156&#168Adoption fee includes:&#226&#156&#133 Spay/Neuter&#226&#156&#133 Vaccines&#226&#156&#133 Microchip&#226&#156&#133 Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Noel?Email us at: adoption@columbiahumane.org to request an application.Adoption Fee: $175For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgJanuary 14, 2026, 7:11 am

Story
Meet Dottie! Dottie is a gentle female tuxedo cat with a quiet sweetness that shines through once she feels safe. She’s a devoted mama who lovingly raised her two kittens after being found outdoors, bravely caring for them while also asking for help. Now that her kittens are taken care of, it’s Dottie’s turn to be cherished.Dottie has a few small scars on her nose—little reminders of her days living outside—but they only add to her story and her charm. She’s very sweet and affectionate, though a bit shy at first. One of her favorite things is cozying up and hiding under her blankets, where she feels most comfortable and secure. With patience, gentle love, and a calm home, Dottie will make a wonderful companion. She’s looking for someone who can offer her the safety and warmth she’s always deserved. Story
Meet Taka,A handsome orange tabby with a soft heart and a gentle soul. While he shares a name with Mufasa's infamous brother, this Taka rewrites the story completely—there’s no villain arc here, just sweetness and quiet charm. Though he may not seek the spotlight, he truly shines once he feels safe. He can be a bit shy at first, but give him a little patience and he’ll melt into a loving, affectionate companion who adores attention. Gentle pets, calm voices, and cozy spaces are his favorite things, and once he trusts you, he’ll happily soak up all the love you’re willing to give. This soft-hearted boy would do best in a peaceful home where he can come out of his shell at his own pace—and when he does, you’ll see just how special he is. If you’re looking for a tender, loving companion with a sweet personality and a golden-orange glow, Taka is ready to find his happily-ever-after. &#226&#156&#168Adoption fee includes:&#226&#156&#133 Spay/Neuter&#226&#156&#133 Vaccines&#226&#156&#133 Microchip&#226&#156&#133 Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Taka?Email us at: adoption@columbiahumane.org to request an application.Adoption Fee: $175For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgJanuary 13, 2026, 6:00 am

Story
Help Rehome Tucker This is Tucker, a handsome, neutered boy looking for the right forever home. He is microchipped, litter box trained, and has spent a little time outdoors (though he’s still a bit skittish about the big wide world). Tucker has a truly sweet side. He greets me at the door when I get home from work and loves being petted. He enjoys companionship and will happily follow me from room to room just to be nearby. Like many young or energetic cats, Tucker can sometimes get overstimulated or bored, which has shown as ankle biting or playful aggression. I believe he would do best in a home that understands cat behavior and can provide plenty of enrichment—and possibly other animals to interact with, as I think he would thrive with more stimulation than I can currently provide. This decision is being made with Tucker’s best interest at heart. He deserves a home where he can feel fulfilled, secure, and loved. If you or someone you know might be a good fit for Tucker, please message me for more details. Sharing is greatly appreciated. January 15, 2026, 1:08 pm
