Story
Oliver is 14 years old. I had a cat he got along with him OK when he sees another dog he usually barks but the neighbor has two little dogs and they went for a walk once they got acquainted with each other and we’re OK. He needs a person that can stay home and just give them love Sometimes has an accident in the apartment use the doggie door he loves to go for a walk and get petted. The only reason I have to find a home is because I have to move and I can’t find a home with him.

Story
Diego  is a good boy, likes to be close to you when you're sitting around and working on the computer.  He's crate trained, and likes hanging out in his crate during the day when you're away from home.  At night, he learned very quickly to sleep on a bed on the floor, without trying to jump on my bed.  He sleeps quietly until you're ready to get up and let him out. Diego gets very excited to go for a walk, and gets vocal when he sees you putting on your shoes.  This is a behavior we're working to extinguish right now. Diego is nervous around new people.  He needs an adopter who will understand from dog stress signs and only let him approach them.  Diego is not a fit for young children in the home, as children can be unpredictable and make him nervous. Diego's adopters should understand that they should not stick their hands in his face unpredictably, he should be only calmly petted, especially by new people.  Once he knows and trusts you, he will roll over for belly rubs.  Diego is an affectionate dog, but it's best that he goes to a calm home where he can feel secure. Diego loves to play fetch!  He's also good with other dogs in the home. Diego can be a little leash reactive, where he barks and pulls towards other dogs.  This is a behavior we're also working on using positive reinforcement. Energy Level? Medium House trained? Mostly Describe how they are on leash? He pulls ahead initially but not hard, and will walk better after a few minutes.  Working on leash manners. Describe how they are with other dogs? Good in the same household. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they? Yes, Diego has lived with cats in his previous home. Commands they know? Sit, going into his crate with a visual signal What are their favorite things? Playing fetch What do they need to work on? leash manners, he can benefit from more basic obedience cues. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone? Good.  Up to 8 hours in his previous home. Where do they sleep? Crate during the day, on a dog bed on the floor at night. What is their ideal home? Adult only home, with people who are experienced around nervous dogs and understand stress signs.   April 11, 2024, 5:29 pm

Tripod #Tripawd #Tripaw &#226&#173&#144&#239&#184&#143 Adopt Jackson, The Cutest Tripod &#226&#173&#144&#239&#184&#143 Lovingly called Jack, Jack is an 18-pound, 3-year-old dog. DNA test pending. Jack is eager to learn and is currently in a board-and-train program. He is crate and potty-trained. He is currently learning basic manners, commands, and socializing while living with a trainer in a home with her two dogs and a cat. Jack has had a difficult and challenging journey. He was surrendered to Every Pet's Dream Rescue in great pain. His backstory is unknown. Our vets did everything they could to help him, but unfortunately, after his first surgery failed, his back leg had to be amputated. Jack can be vocal at times when startled and was most likely not socialized as a puppy. He is currently working on these fears. While at the rescue, Jack learned to adapt as an amputee, his new living situation with several other dogs and a cat. While here, he became besties with two little rescue dogs. Jack is energetic, likes to play with little dogs, loves to play fetch, go for short walks, and settle in on the couch for a cuddle or snuggle. Jack loves the simple things in life, like belly rubs, ear scratches, lots of stuffed toys, and people. Jack would do best as an only dog or a home with a small, playful dog. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Jack is a sweet, loyal, and loving companion. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Jack is searching for a foster home or foster-to-adopt when he graduates from training at the end of the year. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 If you're looking for a new best friend, Jack might be the dog for you! Story
Flynn is a small yet mighty and playful 10 lb 70% chi mix and will be 2 this year. Best for someone with experience. He loves to run and do zoomies around the house, as well as chase and be chased after. Be ready for some playful pouncing and attention seeking. He likes walks outside and does require more training to not bark at passerby’s by redirection & small treats. He’d love to sit on your lap, to give and receive kisses, and those raspberry ones, where you blow against the skin, under his chin, cheek or neck, with a fun sound. He’s a cuddler & will enjoy sleeping with you. He will do good in a crate too with his bed and blanket. House trained on pads

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet, shy young girl! The shelter was very scary for little Chloe, a 3-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix, but she is really blossoming now that she is in a safe and loving foster home. Chloe is very playful, affectionate and is making great progress settling into home life.  She has some residual fears that she is overcoming and is not a fan of being left alone during the day. If you are home for most of the day, she could be the perfect companion for you. Chloe lays quietly on the chair next to her Foster Mom’s chair when she is working from home. With the right person (or family) who can guide her and give her all the room she needs to grow, Chloe will soon become your new best friend!  The leash is still new for her and she is beginning to get used to all the new sights and sounds of the neighborhood around her.  Chloe loves to play with her toys, sit on your lap and cuddle up next to you. She is really a lovebug! She is a riot when she runs over to the TV to watch when dogs are on the screen! She will also pick up her bed herself and move it to get a better view of what is happening on the TV!  At night Chloe sleeps happily in her crate near her humans and is happy to wait for her family to get her up in the morning, when the fun begins with a walk and breakfast! This sweet girl would love a home with either adults only or with older children who can give her time to settle in and become an active part of your family. If you are looking for a loving dog who will be your loyal companion, Chloe is it!   Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetproject Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 10:08 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bonded Pair - ChipHoney is an approximately 1 year-old, 16 pound best of all breeds, AKA a mutt. Sweet Honey was found in a field with a group of 6 pups, including her friend, Chip.  Honey is an extraordinarily sweet dog. She is so affectionate, she seeks out physical contact as much as possible, preferably on your lap or chest. When she’s feeling playful, she loves to play fetch or play with squeaky toys. When it comes to any activity, she follows Chip's lead. Otherwise, she’s cuddled up with her humans. Honey came to SVPP very shut down, but once we placed her with Chip, she followed his lead and started to relax and trust. Honey still needs lots of practice on leash and she is working on her potty training - she already knows how to use the doggie door! Ideally, she will be adopted with Chip. His presence and example of curiosity allows her to feel safe and be curious too. If he’s not around, she hides and is quite timid. Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetprojectVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 10:08 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bonded Pair - Honey Tiny Chip is a 7.5 pound, 1 year old Chihuahua. This tiny boy was found in a field with a group of 6 dogs, including his friend, Honey, who is being fostered with him. He is a goofy, silly boy who constantly makes his foster family laugh. He is steadily learning the rules of the house and is following the lead of his foster sisters to pick up leash walking. In addition to being exceptionally handsome, this young boy is very intelligent and is quick to learn new skills! He has only been in a home for a couple of weeks, so he is still working on his potty cues and schedule. Once he feels comfortable, he is so affectionate. He loves cuddles and scritches and will lick your face clean if you let him. He is also a little instigator, his family jokingly calls him Dennis the Menace. When asked how it is having Chip as a foster pup, his foster mom replied, "I can’t say enough about how fun it is to have him around!" Honey and Chip are very close and help each other to be brave, so we are hoping to place them together.
