Story
So nice to meet you! My name is Dusty! I'm a 6-year-old, neutered, Chihuahua mix that weighs about 10lbs. My friends here at PHS say I start off on the shy side, but I warm up fairly quickly. Once I'm feeling comfortable, I enjoy leisurely strolls followed by cuddles from my PHS friends. I am a handsome little man that prefers the company of adult humans over other four legged creatures. I don't mind the company of other mellow dogs like me, but if I got to choose, I'd prefer to have to spotlight to myself. I promise I'm all the pup you need! Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, April 5th from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered. Adoption Fee: $650 Andy Warhol – The Pop Art Pup Who’ll Steal Your Heart!Age: 4-5 months old | Weight: 6 lbs (Estimated 15-20 lbs full grown) Move over, Campbell’s Soup—there’s a new work of art in town, and his name is Andy Warhol! With his tan coat and larger-than-life personality, Andy is a pop culture icon in the making, ready to add a splash of fun, color, and cuddles to your life. Much like his famous namesake, Andy is bold, charismatic, and a little bit quirky—in the best way possible! He’s the kind of puppy who believes the world is his gallery, and every moment is a chance to make an impression. Whether he’s prancing around the yard like he’s at an exclusive exhibit or zooming across the living room with a toy in his mouth, Andy brings an energy that is impossible to ignore. A Masterpiece in MotionAndy is an outgoing little guy who loves meeting new people and isn’t shy about making his presence known. He barks a quick 'hello' but settles fast, ready to charm you with his happy spins and enthusiastic tail wags. He’s the self-proclaimed leader of the puppy art movement—first to explore, first to play, and first to dive into a cuddle pile when the fun is done. Play Hard, Snuggle HarderAndy is an expert at turning the simplest things into priceless treasures—sticks, tennis balls, and even your shoelaces are all worthy of his artistic attention. He’s working on perfecting the game of fetch (retrieving is optional in his mind), and while he’s full of energy, he’s equally talented in the fine art of snuggling. Once he’s all tuckered out, Andy loves curling up under a blanket, preferably nestled in your lap like the true masterpiece he is. The Perfect Home for AndyAndy is looking for a forever home that appreciates both his playful spirit and his snuggly side. His ideal family will enjoy puppy adventures, have a good sense of humor (because puppy antics are inevitable!), and be ready to invest time in training and socialization. He’d love a home with a yard to explore, but he’s small enough to thrive in an apartment setting, too—just as long as he gets plenty of playtime and love. A One-of-a-Kind Pup for a One-of-a-Kind FamilyEvery great artist deserves the perfect audience, and Andy is ready to find his! If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and slightly dramatic (in the cutest way) puppy to brighten your days, Andy Warhol is ready to turn your life into a masterpiece. Are you ready for a little pop art magic in your home? Andy is waiting to meet his biggest fan—could it be you?   April 3, 2025, 7:15 pm

Ready to Add a Little Bathtime Chaos to Your Life?   Introducing the Bathtime Puppies: Bubble, Foam, and Suds — a trio of 3 month old Morkie-Chihuahua mixes who are equal parts adorable, hilarious, and tiny emotional support specialists in training! Much like an actual bath, they can be a little intimidating at first (will it be too cold? too splashy?), but once you dive in, you realize you never want to leave their warm, bubbly company.   These pint-sized pups have a solid daily routine: eat, play, zoom around, and crash into adorable nap puddles. They sleep in their x-pen at night, have access to their crate for cozy lounging, and are currently working hard on their house manners. First thing in the morning, they hustle outside in a happy, tail-wagging parade. They LOVE meal times (three per day, thank you very much) and have even mastered the fine art of stampeding back into their pen at the sound of a whistle — sitting politely for a treat like the little scholars they are (well... unless excitement gets the better of them, in which case they’re still working on not lunging at the cookie like tiny land sharks).   Personality-wise, each Bathtime Buddy brings their own special sparkle. Bubble is the shyest — a sweet little soul who will bravely army-crawl toward you like a tiny soldier of love, and once she's in your lap, she promptly forgets she was ever scared. Foam is the official 'emotional support dog' of the group — she'll happily curl up in your arms while you Zoom, email, or write your memoirs, all while secretly plotting how to get more Pupperoni. And then there’s Suds, our bold little bubble boy, who fearlessly wrestles the big dog and stares down the outdoor cat like he’s auditioning for an action movie. He’s first in line for cuddles, first out the pen, and first to remind you why life is better with a little mischief.   Because they’re still young, the Bathtime Puppies are in their crucial building-confidence stage. They can be shy around new people, new sounds, and even new smells (the vacuum is a known villain), so steady socialization and positive puppy training are important. They’re already showing tremendous progress with exposure to different experiences, and regular confidence-boosting (like treat-based training, puppy classes, and meeting gentle, friendly dogs) will help them grow into the amazing, social dogs we know they can be.   The ideal home for a Bathtime Pup is someone patient, kind, and ready to laugh through the occasional shy moment or zoomie fit. Having another confident dog in the home would be a huge bonus — like a flotation device for their courage! With a little time and a lot of love, these bubbly babies will become your loyal, snuggly sidekicks, proving that sometimes, the best things in life really do come in soapy, splashy, hilarious packages.April 26, 2025, 7:00 am

Story
**COURTESY REHOMING POST** Luna is not a CACC dog. We have not met her nor evaluated her and can't attest to her health or temperament. Please use the contact information listed to reach out and learn more. Say hello to Luna! This sweet senior Chihuahua mix has the heart of a puppy and the soul of a survivor. After her devoted owner reached out to CACC during a time of desperate hardship. Luna spent her life with her best furry friend Hennessy, a fellow senior pup, and their kitty buddy Mia. But when their owner lost her home, the whole family ended up living in a car together. Fortunately for Luna’s owner, she has found a new job and a stable living situation, but she was heartbroken to learn that she can’t bring her beloved pets along. That’s where we come in—to help find loving new homes for these dear pets who are looking for a fresh start in life. Luna is the kind of dog who brightens every room she enters. She’s friendly with everyone she meets—dogs, cats, and people. She’s especially fond of her walks, and she has perfect leash manners. Easygoing, confident, and full of love, Luna is ready to bring warmth and companionship to a new family. Luna is more than ready to fill your life with unconditional love. She would be a joyful, gentle companion to anyone lucky enough to adopt her. If you have room in your heart (and maybe a spot for Hennessy too), Luna’s ready to fill it with love.
