Dudley is very guarded with new people and makes his opinions known loudly. He barks at strangers and takes time to accept new people into his circle. He is not the kind of dog who instantly warms up to everyone, and he will need an experienced adopter who understands dogs that are protective, wary, and slow to trust. Once Dudley feels secure and builds a relationship with you, he is loyal, devoted, and deeply bonded to his people. He wants stability, structure, and a home where he feels safe. Because of his vocal nature and alert personality, he would do best in a house rather than an apartment.
