Story
We got Honey from the shelter in December 2024. Our vet estimates she was born that summer, so we're assuming she's almost two years old. Honey is an absolute sweetheart that loves every single person she meets. She loves chasing deer and squirrels as much as chasing her favorite frisbee or playing tug of war. The only reason we're rehoming her is because she is full of energy, and our occupational arrangements have changed to where we're not home as much as we used to be. We feel like it's a disservice to such a wonderful dog and want a family that can give her the exercise and fun she needs. The only warning is she has learned how to jump over a chainlink fence! That's added stress to us trying to give her outdoor time when we're not home.

Story
Badger is a sweet boy in need of a home without children and preferably without other dogs. He is reactive but can manage it well. He has had a lot of professional training. He is on fluoxetine to manage anxiety. He doesn't like being cornered or stood over, but otherwise is a sweet dog. He came from a shelter and has made a ton of progress since I got him almost four years ago. He needs someone who can walk him or has a back yard for him, but otherwise he usually prefers to do his own thing.

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Mocha is a 3-year-old large brindle mixed-breed dog with a big personality and a lot of potential in the right environment. We became Mocha’s second home after he had some behavioral challenges in his first household, and we have done our best to provide him with stability and care. Unfortunately, due to local authority involvement related to his behavior, we are now faced with the very difficult decision of finding Mocha another home. We care about him deeply and would much rather see him placed with the right person than have his story end unfairly. Mocha has done well with our other dog and enjoys their company. However, he hasn't done well with younger children, so an adult-only home is preferable. Because of his background and size, he would do best with an experienced dog owner who understands dogs that need structure, patience, and continued training. This is not an easy decision for us. Our hope is to find someone who can give Mocha a safe environment & a real chance to thrive.
