Story
We acquired moose from a poodle breeder in Georgia. We wanted a hypoallergenic dog who would come on us with walks and hiking. Shortly after bringing him home we found out my wife was pregnant and our aspirations changed from outside adventures to family-oriented busy baby life. Because of this change, Moose is not getting the activity and attention he needs and we are hoping for a better home that can meet these needs. Moose is very playful, loyal, and loves to be around his people. He is very intelligent, fully house trained, and is a great companion. We’re hoping for a home that will allow him to be active and included. He plays well with dogs he knows but is struggling with leash reactivity passing other dogs mainly.

Story
Meet Your New Best Friend! Jayce is a 3-year-old Brittnay Mix who is looking for his forever home. While he might be a little shy when you first meet him, give him a moment to come out of his shell, and you'll find a funny, bouncy, and deeply loving companion. Jayce is a "paws-on" kind of dog! He is famous for his hugs and will spend his time trying to wrap his paws around you if he isn't already trying to curl up in your lap. He is the perfect blend of a lounge partner and a playmate. Because of his cautious temperament, Jayce has some specific needs to help him feel safe and successful: No Other Dogs: He prefers being the "only child" and can be reactive toward strange dogs. Quiet Environment: He would not enjoy the high-stress environment of a dog park. Patient Humans: He needs an owner who understands he needs to approach new things at his own pace. No Strangers (at first): He can be vocal with people he doesn't know, but his loyalty to his inner circle is unmatched. If you have the patience to let him blossom, you will be rewarded with a level of love and loyalty that only a dog like Jayce can give. He is ready to be your most devoted friend. Jayce's adoption fee is $325 to offset the cost of vetting and help other rescues in need. He is currently located in Georgia and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad. Story
Prince is one lucky fellow! He was running loose in a neighborhood and was hit by a car! YIKES! Someone saw it happen and called Animal Control for some help. He was actually waiting with the dog when the deputy arrived. The deputy observed that he had “road rash” on his chest, abdomen, and feet. Ouch! He has recovered from his injuries and has also gotten all of his vaccinations, he was tested for heartworms and he is negative, he got a microchip, and he has been neutered. Prince is ready to begin his new life with his new owners! Hopefully this one-year-old terrier mix has learned his lesson about the danger of cars and will stay away from them! YIKES!

Story
Asia is a two-year-old heeler mix that was picked up by someone leaving work one evening. She was in the road dodging cars and trucks. Her rescuer was able to stop and get her out of the road and into her car. We think she may have been “nicked” by a car or truck when she was in traffic. She has been on cage rest since she came in, but she is now ready to meet some new families. Asia has all of her vaccinations, she has a microchip, and she has been spayed. Unfortunately, she is heartworm positive. She isn’t worried though because we already have her treatment set up. Now all she needs is a foster to see her through her treatment and then make her a permanent member of the family.

Story
Princess wants to be the “princess” in your home! Princess came to us from a situation where there were lots of other dogs and puppies. She learned how to get along with everyone and find her own safe spots to get away from the commotion of too many pets. Her owners reached out for some help and Princess is here to find a new home. Princess has all of her vaccinations, she is heartworm negative, she has a microchip, and she has been spayed. When Princess came in she had a skin infection, but antibiotics and medicated baths are helping that situation. Only one other thing might cause a prospective adopter to “paws” before adopting her. She is about nine years old so she is a “senior citizen!” Her age is not a problem for Princess, so hopefully it won’t be a problem in finding her a “forever” home.
