Story
Zazu is an athletic dog with lots of energy, although she is fairly mellow when inside the home. She needs outdoor time and loves to go on hikes and mountain bike with her owner. She also loves chasing a ball. She’s always been a little skittish and independent. We think she would thrive in an “only” pet situation. She has been great with kids. We have had her for almost 5 years and it’s with a heavy heart that we are re-homing her. However, she and another one of our dogs no longer get along. We have tried to reintroduce them but they continue to fight. Accordingly, we are forced to re-home one of them. Based on what we have observed, she would do best in a home with no other pets.

Story
please read descriptionLibby is an 11-month-old Heeler/Malinois mix who had a tough start in life—abandoned as a newborn and bottle-raised by rescuers—which helped shape her incredibly affectionate, people-focused nature. She loves deeply and forms strong bonds with her humans. With a big personality, a gorgeous Malinois-style head, and even bigger energy, Libby is an exceptionally smart, fun-loving young pup. At about 50 pounds, she is potty trained, kennel trained, and rides wonderfully in the car. Libby loves her walks and is learning to walk politely on a leash. She’s an active, enthusiastic girl who would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and another playful, energetic dog. She does well with all dogs and has never shown aggression. Because she can be a bit rambunctious, we recommend older children and households without very small or senior dogs. She hasn’t been tested with cats but hasn’t shown signs of prey drive. This playful pup enjoys tug-of-war, fetch, and cuddling up at the end of the day—whether in her kennel or in your bed, if allowed. Because she is extremely intelligent and requires both mental and physical stimulation, Libby needs an adopter who is not only active and patient but also confident with training and excited to help her reach her full potential. Libby is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $100. Please apply at www.misfitsdogrescue.orgDecember 11, 2025, 2:51 pm

Story
Please read description thoroughly Meet Cash. Cash is a 7-year-old Yorkie or Yorkie mix who weighs about 17 pounds and has a long tail. He’s an easygoing, mellow little guy who’s happiest living life at a relaxed pace. Cash came to us with a severe yeast infection in his right ear, which has been treated. His future family should continue to keep an eye on that ear to help prevent it from returning. Other than that, he has no known health issues and has recently had a dental. He was surrendered due to having accidents in the house. Cash does best when taken outside frequently and enjoys going for walks. Belly bands are not a great fit for him due to his rounded figure, and losing a couple of pounds would likely help overall. Cash is a pretty chill dude. He enjoys attention and pets, is not a big barker, and would be perfectly content spending much of the day lounging, with walks being the highlight of his routine. Cash would do best in a quiet home with no small children. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Cash’s adoption fee is $275. Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
She barks very seldom unless unknown person comes to the house. Her special needs is that she was harmed by a groomer and so when she is going to the groomer she gets upset and needs meds to go through it. Cold Water Grooming has been working with her (Cami is excellent) so patience and care is needed. She is friendly but she is cautioned at first. She does do well with some dogs but not with others. She holds her own with on year old black poodle. The reason is she has the side of the Golden Retriever and my husband is very allergic to her. That has made it difficult for her because she wants Lee to pet and love on her but he can't and she really doesn't understand. She loves treats. She has never been aggressive to anyone and usually my guests are dog lovers and she is patient wanting their attention. She usually comes when called but not always. She is trained .. and that might be a misnomer because I put her out often throughout the day. She gets antsy when she have go.
