Story
Meet Dakota, Dakota found himself in a sticky situation because his owner passed away. He is currently grieving the loss of his owner and is unsure what to do with himself. The person helping with the estate and though of his owner as a father figure did try to home him but the people couldn't handle his barking even though it was only 24 hrs. He will need time his whole world has changed. We did learn that he was originally adopted from a local rescue that is no longer operating. Dakota is up to date on vaccines and neutered. He has not lived with other dogs since he was adopted so currently we are unsure how he is with other dogs or cats. We are also unsure how he is with small kids as his previous owner did not have kids either. We do know he is ok being around people in wheelchairs though. Interested in adding a senior to your home. Apply to adopt Dakota at www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application. All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Please email us at HookedOnDobies@gmail.com, visit our Facebook page www.facebook.com/savingdobermankind or webpage https://www.savingdobermankind.org to request an application, inquire about an adoption fee, or to learn more! We do require a completed adoption application to be submitted before discussing details of a specific Doberman. We do require reference checks and a home check to be approved for adoption. We DO NOT have a central location; our foster homes are located throughout our geographic region including CO and WY. We strive to PROTECT the privacy of our fosters. ALL Doberman meet and greets are conducted in a neutral meeting location made by appointment only after adoption approval.

Story
Meet Duncan, Looking for a loyal companion with a heart of gold? Meet this handsome 6–7-year-old Doberman gentleman who is ready to leave his difficult past behind and start the next chapter of his life with a family of his very own. After coming into rescue from a neglect situation in Texas, he has shown everyone just how resilient and loving he truly is. Despite everything he's been through, he has an incredible temperament and absolutely adores people. Whether you're relaxing on the couch, working around the house, or enjoying time in the yard, he's happiest when he's near his favorite humans soaking up pets and attention. One of his most endearing qualities is his love for plush toys. You'll often find him proudly carrying a toy wherever he goes, almost like a security blanket that brings him comfort and joy. Because of this, a home stocked with plenty of soft toys is at the top of his wish list! This sweet boy is crate trained, house trained, and already knows the "Sit" command. He's eager to please, highly food motivated, and would love a family willing to continue teaching him new tricks and skills. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has never met a stranger. Men, women, and children are all friends in his book, making him a fantastic candidate for many different types of households. If you're looking for a Doberman who combines a gentle soul, loving personality, and a touch of adorable goofiness, this special boy may be exactly who you've been waiting for. All he asks for is a safe home, a basket full of plush toys, and a family to love him forever. Could you be the happy ending this deserving boy has been waiting for? ❤️🐾 To apply to adopt Duncan please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Story
Meet Jax, Jax is a blue & tan boy with natural ears and a tail that is knocking that is just over 6 years old. He is a super sweet boy and deserves the best life. He is a very smart boy who loves cuddles, is great on a leash, and knows a lot of commands! He's a great running and hiking partner, too! Jax needs to be in a Doberman experienced home with no small children. He will need a home with a 6 ft fence, as he can clear a 3-4 ft fence if he decided to let himself out on a run. Jax is fully vetted and ready for his new forever home. Jax is muzzle trained and in high stress environments like vet offices it would be best for him to wear it in case he gets over stimulated. This boy has had a rough life thus far after running the streets of Mexico to coming here. Jax would be best in a home with another dog to keep his confidence up. He is good with cats and horses also. Jax is a true velcro dog and protective of his tribe once he settles in.For the most part Jax gets along with all dogs but can be selective with fluffy dogs that are the same size as him. Small fluffy dogs don't bother him. We are currently accepting applications for Jax at www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Story
Meet Dupert, Dupert found himself in rough shape as a stray in a NM shelter. With the help of our friends at High Desert Doberman Rescue Dupert is now safe with us and in Colorado. Dupert is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. He's never met a stranger regardless of what his past was like. He loves everyone he meets. Dupert is estimated to be around a year old and a tiny pint sized boy at just over 50 lbs he could continue to grow a little bit but we don't expect much. Dupert would be the prefect addition to any family and deserves the best. We still need to get Dupert microchipped but after that he will be ready for his forever family and we are accepting applications now. Story
Bella is very full of energy and loves to play! She is 16 weeks old and will be about 8-9 lbs when grown. We love her but as we are expecting it’s going to be difficult and unfair to our baby and her if we keep Bella. She is very quiet and does not bark so that is plus!
