Chrissy is a very sweet girl who has spent her life chained up in "tent city" Dallas, but surrendered to our rescue a few months ago, right before giving birth to 12 puppies! Her puppies are now weaned and Chrissy is now spayed. She is SUPER sweet and snuggly, loves to play and chase squirrels, enjoys napping on the couch with her person and running in the backyard. Chrissy is a "people person" and gets very attached, quickly. She is house broken, crate trained and does fine on a leash. Chrissy is currently on the "slow kill" treatment for heartworms. Charlie is a typical Akbash/Pyr mix, who is head strong and protective of his person. He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. Charlie does well with the smaller dogs in the current foster home, though seems unsure of large dogs. He very much enjoys "working"...having something to do. Though we do not allow him to be an outdoor dog, he very much enjoys his time in the yard/sun. Charlie loves going for walks, but is often scared of other unknown big dogs. He is great with the cats in the current foster home, and absolutely LOVES men!!! ****Charlie is currently in foster care in DFW, so transport would need to be arranged!**** If interested in Charlie, please fill out our foster or adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org.

Ernie is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. He loves people, but prefers to hang out with men, and be their best buddy! Ernie is a sweet boy, and beautiful, as well! Foxhound

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
*We adopted an English Fox Hound from TCRAS last March. We realize that we are not the right fit for him. We;ll keep him & love him until we can find better match. Rehoming has moved up in priorities due to health issues *He weighs apx 40 lbs. and is VERY strong. He is bored here, needs a yard designed for a dog, and hed love someone to walk, hike or run with every day. He had a 5-week training program. Unfortunately, we did not follow through with his lessons. He knows sit, down, place, heel (sometimes) and is learning how to "speak" and shake hands. *He's a very lovable, sweet, playful, nice dog, but he does have triggers (thunder, lightning, fireworks) and I can't always redirect him. Once he calms down, he's back to his sweet self. He sheds, but loves being brushed. *He'd do great in a quiet home, without small children. He likes other dogs as long as they are nice. Good sleeper and eater. Loves playing with toys! *He's such a good 95% of the time. Needs energetic people.
