Story

We adopted our Remi from my brother-in-law who could not take him on his Navy deployment. We have had Remi now for over 4 years. Remi is a 8 year old Pitbull who is incredibly friendly and loving. Due to my wife's recent cancer diagnosis I am now the single income provider and primary medical support for my wife and household (3 kids) and taking care of Remi has become too much for me to manage. He has allergies that cause him to have dry and itchy skin that can become yeasty if not taken care of. The management of his allergies is feasible but requires money and time to address that I can no longer provide adequately. He also has several lumps or tumor spots due to his age. Overall though, he is an incredibly kind and loving animal, he is just not thriving like he could be with someone that has the time to give him the TLC he needs.

I hate to part with this dog because I love him but he is too big for me to handle . He is 90 lb and very strong. If he really wants to get away from me on the leash he can. I mostly walk him around the yard to be safe but he really needs somewhere where he can run and get some exercise. He has started tearing things up in the house because he doesn't get enough exercise. He grew up with another two dogs, another big dog and a teacup chihuahua. Never had any problems with them. Also grew up with a cat and they get along good too, He took puppy obedience class. I have a DNA test for him. He is micro chipped.He is very protective. I have seen him act aggressive with other dogs though it depends on the dog. I will only give this dog up to a good home someone who is appropriate for this dog as I realize I am not..
