Story
Courtesy Post for a rescue partner. We are assisting Greener Side Haven with placing Wolfie ! Wolfie is a striking Siberian Husky/Lab(?) mix. He is about 2 years old and weighs 60 lbs, is neutered, partially housebroken, current on vaccinations, dewormed and has a clean heartworm test. He has a short Lab like coat but Husky markings and that traditional tail curl. Wolfie has a big personality and like many young Huskies can be willful & headstrong, but is very smart. He is a very active dog and will try to escape, so a 6’ privacy fenced yard is required to keep this guy safe. We believe Wolfie would do best with someone who has Siberian breed experience. No small children or small dogs please. For more details and to arrange a meet ‘n greet, please call 352-746-3545. If you have questions about the Siberian breed feel free to email us at: foccas@tampabay.rr.com More pics of Wolfie can be found here: https://www.petfinder.com/dog/wolfie-59987955/fl/inverness/foccas-inc-fl1385/

Story
🐾😊Muffins is looking for a Foster to Adopt home😊🐾 😊 We brought this sweetheart into the rescue last Wednesday, and she was supposed to be in a Foster to Adopt home, but they gave up on her in less than 72 hours. This sweet girl has been through so much and it just keeps coming. She was found abandoned in a home with no food or water and feces everywhere. She then spent 7 months in the shelter waiting for the judge to release her for cruelty (Please see video in the comments. ) Now She’s heartworm positive and will need to go through heartworm injections and she has a large growth that needs to be removed from her back. She is just the sweetest girl, who just wants a person of her own!! She is so attached to me after just a couple of days, but I would love for her to settle in where she will remain. Fostering is Free! We pay for food, crate, meds and vet care. You open up your heart and home. Then if you decide to adopt you get a discounted adoption fee. Muffins is a 4 1/2 year old Bulldog/ Shar Pei and weighs 68 lbs. She is overweight and is on a low-fat diet. She is spayed and up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is potty trained and crate trained, but doesn’t need to be crated. She is small and large dog friendly and cat friendly. She wants to follow her person everywhere as to not lose them!! There must be someone out there that is looking for a special Dog to rescue!! You won’t find a sweeter girl!! Let’s show her that all people aren’t like her original owners and she so deserves a Happily Ever After!! If you live in Citrus County or surrounding areas and are interested in fostering to adopt Muffins please complete an application at rescuedogsdream.com

Story
Rowe is a calm, observant dog who showed during his holiday foster stay that he is an “easy companion”. He is treat-motivated, already knows sit, and tries his best with stay, making continued training enjoyable and rewarding. On leash, Rowe is generally polite and calm, though he may pull briefly when excited to meet new people. In the home, Rowe truly shines. He was well-behaved when left alone, showed excellent house manners, did not chew or get into items, and followed a calm daily routine. He enjoys long walks but is just as happy napping on a dog bed or curling up beside his person. At night, he comfortably slept in bed near his human.Foster highlights:• Calm, patient, and observant• Rides well in the car• Enjoys toys, especially balls• No food or toy guarding• Comfortable with visitors and meeting new people• Thrives on gentle praise and companionshipRowe is approximately 2 years old, weighs 52 lbs, and is neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and vaccinated. He’s ready for a home where he can be a loyal walking partner, couch companion, and quiet best friend. Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S. Airport Rd., Inverness, FL. ID# 59862689

Story
At just 10 months old, Gulp may look like a grown dog at 67 lbs, but don’t let his size fool you — he’s still very much a puppy. That means he’s learning, growing, and sometimes feeling his feelings in big ways. What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in devotion.Gulp is the kind of pup who wants to be your dog through and through. He bonds deeply with his people and does best in a home where companionship is part of everyday life. Shelter life — and being alone — can be hard for a young dog like him, so he’ll benefit from continued crate training and a family who understands that his need for closeness comes from being young, not difficult. This big puppy wants to be your go-everywhere ride buddy. Errands? Adventures? Quiet nights at home? Gulp just wants to be included. He loves toys, tasty treats, a good game of fetch, and then stretching out on a cozy dog bed once he’s worn himself out. Because Gulp is still learning how to be his best self, he’s looking for a home with no other animals — and honestly, he has more than enough love to give one family all by himself. With patience, consistency, and love, Gulp will grow into a loyal, steady companion. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested & vaccinated. Come meet Gulp at Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S. Airport Rd., Inverness, FL. ID# 59915757
