Story
We adopted Suagar from Lake County Animal Shelter 2months ago. He was suppose to be an amotional support to my 19 year old daughter who is Neuro-Diverse with chronic anxiety. Sugar demands a lot of attention. He barks uncontrollably even when his onviouse needs have been met. My daughter's mental and emotional health has declined. She is sleep deprived as well since Sugar barks to be walked at all hours of the night. We are not equipped to give him the attention or rehabilitation he needs. He is fully vaccinated, dewormed, chipped and understands sit, down, stay, come, and go to bed.We desperately need him to be rehomed with dog loving humans.

Story
Bella, who is 8 years old was My Uncles dog who passed away 2 days ago. Even though we had never met her we were able to go in and take her from his home over 6 weeks ago when he became ill. My Son and Daughter are home on Christmas break and she has adapted well to our family. She is sweet and loves to play. She is crate trained We walk her twice a day and she has not been aggressive towards other people when we pass them. She is aggressive towards other dogs. She is agressive towards our family dog which is a golden doodle. We are considering a 3 week board and train to help with her agression towards other dogs. She loves attention and is very sweet with people. New Owner would need to have a fenced in back yard and not have any other pets for me to allow her to be adopted. She is used to being with one owner who gave her all his attention and she is spoiled in that way. She also is crate trained and does not mind going into her crate when you leave.

Story
I acquired Casper in 2019 while in college in New York. He loves to cuddle and wants to be the center of attention. Casper has not been introduced to a lot of other dogs. He grew up in the city not being exposed or have the ability to socialize. In 2023 I decided to give him a better life and to be more comfortable. I sent Casper to live with my dad, where Casper has been treated like a king. My dad had another dog at the time so it was perfect for his dog and my dog to become friends. Casper got along great with my dad’s dog. Whether it was laying with each other, having a game of tug - a - war or a daily walk, they were always together. Unfortunately my dad is having so medical problems where he is not able to take care of Casper anymore. I am looking for someone that is able to work with him Casper, transitioning him into a new home. Someone that would I know would provide the care and love that Casper needs!

Story
Koa is an 8 year old Lab mix from what we were told when we got him in 2018. He is white with tan and brown spots. He has hazel/amber colored eyes. He is not neutered. He was born in Texas, originally the runt of his litter. He's grown to be around 60 pounds and enjoys his sleep. We unfortunately keep him due to inadequate living situations and busy schedules. We would love for him to go to a home where he is loved and someone who looks forward to taking care of him. Bonus points to someone who has a fenced in yard for room to allow him to run as much as his heart desires. He does prefer to snooze around most of the time.

Story
Nebula is a sweet girl that loves cuddles, snacks, short walks, and sun bathing. Great with kids, other dogs, and cats. Very playful. House trained. She never barks unless she needs to go out or senses its time to eat. It breaks our hearts to have to rehome her (due to human health issues) but we’re hopeful we can find her the perfect loving home.

Story
Rex was the dog for our children. Our children have all grown up. We currently have very busy schedules myself and my husband and can’t devote our time to take care of him. He is home alone a lot. We also have our daughter son and granddaughter that just moved in with us, and our granddaughter has allergies. He would do well with an owner who is home often
