Story

Comet is 5 years old. We acquired him from a special needs granddaughter trying to recover from trauma while going to college and was unable to handle a pet or life. We have tried to care for him until she was able to take him back, however that is not going to work. We live in a 55 plus community with pet restrictions and we are trying to rehome him. We are looking for a loving home with an outside fenced yard. He has been confined to the timetable of 2 senior citizens, one of which works and one who is limited. He loves it when we can take him to the dog park. He is a typical Jack Russell....likes to bark but is being taught to control it. We recommend when meeting a new person, not to reach down, but to ignore him until he gets used to you. He has a tendency to be snappy with new people but has never bitten anyone. He loves to be brushed and cuddle in your lap. He is excited when "grandpa" gets home from work, and rushes to the door to greet him. Understands limited commands.

Louie was born 7/12/2022. He likes going for walks and to the park but also loves taking his long daily naps. He doesn’t like being outside in the heat for more than a half hour before he wants to come inside and cool off. He’s a great companion and is very smart. He’s only had one owner but unfortunately I no longer have the time he deserves.

Red is a neutered mixed breed. He was adopted through our local pound. He is a very loving and rambunctious boy. We are told he is between 3-5 years old. He is house trained and crate trained. He does well on a leash. He can sit on command. We are working on wait and stay. He loves to play with our 2 yr old female mountain cur but our female lab does not get along with Red. Red is fun to play with. He does have some food aggression, so we put him in his crate to cook dinner and any time we eat. We feed all our dogs separately to avoid confrontation. He loves to play ball, fetch and run. He loves to greet you when you get home and lick you too!

Meet Our Sweet Little Guy Looking for His Forever Home ❤️🐾 Our sweet boy is looking for a loving, patient home where he can feel safe, secure, and truly loved. He loves getting rubs, spending time with his people, and chewing on his favorite hard chew toys. He can be nervous and uncomfortable around people he doesn't know well in the beginning, so he needs someone who understands that trust takes time. We took him in, and he has become comfortable with us, but he has difficulty warming up to others that come into our house. Unfortunately, our family circumstances have changed because my father is now staying with us, and we are concerned about everyone's safety due to our dog's reaction toward him. As much as we care about him, we want to find a home that is better suited to his needs. We believe he would do best with an experienced, patient adopter who can give him a calm environment. He is house trained & is familiar with commands: sit, come, wait, up, he is very loving.
