Aphrodite is a beautiful 5 year old energetic pit who loves the backyard to run around in but is also happy lounging on a chair with a view of the world going by. Runs very well on a leash and enjoys going for walks. Enjoys chew toys, playing tug of war and ball. Not real good at releasing the ball, would rather you fight her for it. Loves chewing on ice cubes and playing with other dogs. Shows a lot of love and personality.

Story
Layla is a sweet, very playful 1 yr old, (11/29/24), weighing in at 66 lbs in April. She does follow commands currently taught but, somewhat hard-headed. She eats well between 5-6 pm. Completed spay surgery on 2/18. Motivated by food. Enjoys toys but, must be sturdy! Loves walks. Sit Means Sit training began 4/22; advanced to group; much more confident and focused up. She has acclimated to life with my 7 year old unneutered 152 lb Presa canario and 13 year old 37 lb Terrier mix. Both have very calm demeanors. Last hurdle: crate training; much improved; never relieves in living space but will in crate without a watchful eye on her cues to go outside. Requires a lot of time and activity. Want to avoid kill-sites; all no-kill facilities have been full for some time now. Hopefully a permanent home presents sooner than later.

Story
Meet Turtle, a sweet two year old dog who is ready to find her forever family. She has a medium energy level overall, but transforms into a hefty ball of energy when it is playtime. Turtle can be a little shy when first meeting other dogs. However, she warms up quickly and loves making new canine friends after a gentle introduction. Because she is extremely food motivated, winning her trust and teaching her new commands is an absolute breeze. A pocket full of tasty treats is the absolute fastest way to her heart. She is an adaptable companion who would thrive in an active apartment lifestyle. She would also do wonderfully in a home with multiple dogs, provided she is given the proper time to acclimate. While she is versatile, her absolute dream environment would be a loving home with a spacious yard. Having a yard provides the perfect safe space for her to run around and let out her playful spirit. If you are looking for a loyal best friend, Turtle is your girl!

Story
Meet Jaxx: a smart, loyal dog looking for an experienced and loving home. I adopted Jaxx during the COVID 19 pandemic after losing my German Shepherd, Sam. He came into my life at a time of loss and became a steady, loyal companion. Jaxx is extremely intelligent and knows his core commands, like sit, down, stand, and heel, and he genuinely enjoys mental challenges like hide-and-seek and treat puzzles. Indoors, Jaxx is calm, well-mannered, and relaxed, with only normal excitement at the door. He does very well with my daughter’s tiny 2yr old Morkie, showing he can coexist peacefully with small dogs. Outside, Jaxx can be reactive and needs a patient, confident handler who understands guidance and consistency. Rehoming Jaxx is not a decision I’ve made lightly. I am leaving the country, and he deserves a stable home with someone who can help him thrive. Jaxx learns quickly, bonds deeply, and will be an incredibly devoted companion to the right person.

Story
Nandi is a sweet, loyal American Staffordshire Terrier that I have raised since she was 8 weeks old. She has been a cherished part of my life and has grown into a well-mannered and affectionate companion. She has a gentle temperament, enjoys being around people. Nandi would do especially well in a home where she can receive consistent attention, companionship, and love. Nandi did experience two leg injuries in the past, both of which were surgically repaired. She has recovered well and continues to live a happy, active life. This has been a very difficult decision, but due to my current schedule, I am not able to give her the time and attention she truly deserves. She spends long hours at home alone, and I want better for her. I am looking for a responsible and caring home where Nandi can thrive—ideally with someone who has the time to be present and include her as part of their daily life.
