Meet Your New Best Friend! Jayce is a 3-year-old Brittnay Mix who is looking for his forever home. While he might be a little shy when you first meet him, give him a moment to come out of his shell, and you'll find a funny, bouncy, and deeply loving companion. Jayce is a "paws-on" kind of dog! He is famous for his hugs and will spend his time trying to wrap his paws around you if he isn't already trying to curl up in your lap. He is the perfect blend of a lounge partner and a playmate. Because of his cautious temperament, Jayce has some specific needs to help him feel safe and successful: No Other Dogs: He prefers being the "only child" and can be reactive toward strange dogs. Quiet Environment: He would not enjoy the high-stress environment of a dog park. Patient Humans: He needs an owner who understands he needs to approach new things at his own pace. No Strangers (at first): He can be vocal with people he doesn't know, but his loyalty to his inner circle is unmatched. If you have the patience to let him blossom, you will be rewarded with a level of love and loyalty that only a dog like Jayce can give. He is ready to be your most devoted friend. Jayce's adoption fee is $325 to offset the cost of vetting and help other rescues in need. He is currently located in Georgia and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad. Story

Meet Gus, a handsome 7-year-old male purebred brittany, who is looking for his forever home. Gus was a stray dog who found himself in a shelter. He was heartworm positive, but has completed treatment. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. Gus has a heart full of love and is always ready to share his joyful spirit with everyone he meets. His most favorite activity is going on walks and he loves to greet every person and dog that he sees. He is still working on some leash manners, but is very smart and seems to understand commands such as stay, wait and drop it. He also loves to spend time outside in the backyard hunting critters. He is looking for a home with a fenced yard as well as another dog for a companion. He enjoys playing with toys and has a knack for making people smile with his cheerful demeanor. Gus is a velcro boy and loves to be close to his humans. He does well with other dogs and kids, but not cats. He would prefer an active home with someone who can be home most of the time. He is crate trained, but will bark for the first 5-10 minutes before quieting down. He is housebroken and rides well in a car. He is also a good patient at the vet. Gus is eager to find a forever family who will cherish his companionship and give him the love he so readily gives. Gus is located in eastern NC and can be transported up to 1400 miles away, with the adopter driving the last 100 miles. His adoption fee is $350 to help offset some medical expenses. Hey everyone! I have a Dalmatian that I’m looking to help find her forever home. Meet Piper, a beautiful nearly 4-year-old non-HUA Dalmatian. She is incredibly cuddly and sweet, just as happy to sleep in with you as she is to embark on a three-hour hike. Piper thrives outdoors, absolutely loving hiking, swimming, and playing in the snow. She’s a really smart girl who loves a good challenge with her puzzle toys and training sessions. When inside, she is non-destructive and very well potty trained, able to be left alone responsibly while her owner works. In her ideal home, Piper will need a patient and understanding owner willing to give her the space and time she needs to feel secure, as she can be a little shy and reactive off the bat. She is reactive towards other dogs and generally is stressed out by them. In an ideal home, she would be the only pet. Once she trusts you, she is the most loving companion.

You can see the sadness in his eyes ☹. He is very timid and laid back, complacent and mellow. Needless to say, he is very depressed and won’t even eat (not even treats).
