Story
Meet Lewis — The Sweet, Soft-Hearted Farm Pup Oh, little Lew. Lewis is the kind of puppy who quietly steals your heart without even trying. He’s the cutest, snuggliest ball of puppy sweetness and has a calm, gentle presence that makes everyone around him slow down just a bit. Lewis can self-entertain and is perfectly happy doing his own thing, but his favorite playmate is his brother, Clark. He’ll join in with the resident Malinois now and then, but he truly prefers sticking close to his brother. When you pick Lew up, he melts—floppy, relaxed, and ready for snuggles. He’s not lacking confidence, just more cautious and thoughtful. If Clark jumps off the bed, Lewis will pause, assess the situation, and decide it might not be worth it. He loves exploring, especially outdoors, and seems like the kind of dog who would thrive with a big yard to wander, leisurely walks, and plenty of time to just be. Lewis is a quiet observer. He’ll be calmly interested in whatever you’re doing, and suddenly you’ll look over and find him sitting right beside you, staring up at you with those soft puppy eyes. He’s not much of a barker, though he can be a little whiny when nervous—car rides start with a bit of protest before he settles. He’s still working on coming when called (currently the least reliable of the two ), and if it’s time to go inside, he may need to be picked up—Clark will follow automatically once Lew does. Lewis is also in his “taste-test everything” phase, with bark being a current favorite snack, so supervision is important. One of his most endearing traits? The bounce. When Lewis gets excited, he hops like a little gummy bear, and it’s almost unfair how adorable it is. Lewis is learning his basics—he sits well, is working on “down” and “wait,” and gets very enthusiastic when treats are involved. Crate training is going fantastic, and he may actually be the best of the two when it comes to settling in. Potty training is progressing slowly, but he’s starting to have accidents closer to the door, which is a great sign. He understands the daily schedule, often waiting near the door around mealtime or outdoor breaks. He has lovely food manners and does especially well respecting the older dogs during dinner time. Of the two brothers, Lewis may be the better candidate for a home with cats—he’s gentle, calm, and more reserved. Neutered | Current on DHPPV, Bordetella & Rabies| MicrochippedAdoption Fee: $350 Lewis is an easygoing, simple, sweet companion—perfect for someone looking for a gentle soul to grow alongside.   About Furry Farm Rescue Furry Farm Rescue, established in 2017, is a foster-home–based rescue in North Idaho. Story
Meet Birdie!   Adoption fee is sponsored Foster or forever home needed!!! This poor gal’s foster was injured, so that has left her with no place to call home - not in the short or long term! She’s a complete sweetheart and is happiest when she’s right at your side. Men are still a little scary to her, so any men in the home will need to be extra sweet to her to earn her trust. Birdie is leash-trained, crate trained, and fully potty trained! Her prey drive is strong, so a cat-free home is best. She would love to be your hiking/walking buddy so that she can bring her giddy energy to your adventures. This little lady is about 2 yrs old, 53 lbs, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption has been sponsored by her injured foster, to help her find a new home fast. If you’re looking for a loyal, outdoorsy companion who will follow you anywhere and always keep life interesting, Birdie is your girl.   Furry Farm Rescue, established in 2017, is a foster home style rescue group in North Idaho. Story
Meet Clark — A Furry Farm Favorite with a Big Voice & Bigger Heart Clark is the kind of pup who makes farm life a little louder, a lot sweeter, and way more fun. With his beautiful coat and confident strut, he’s equal parts charming and curious—and his personality shines brighter every day here at the Furry Farm. This boy is a talker! Clark loves chatting with the other dogs and will absolutely let you know if treat delivery is taking longer than expected. He’s attentive, engaged, and eager to learn—often picking things up faster than his brother. He listens well, pays attention to what’s going on around him, and truly enjoys being part of the action. Clark is extremely social and very dog-oriented. He has gone out of his way to befriend every dog he meets, even convincing a shepherd to let him snuggle in for naps. He’s especially bonded to his brother and will whine if separated, so he would thrive in a home with another friendly canine companion. Athletic and adventurous, Clark has shown he could climb a chain-link fence—but the good news is he responds well to redirection and wants to please. Potty training is improving steadily, and crate training is going great. With a little encouragement at bedtime, he settles quickly—and when the crate door is left open, he often chooses it for his own nap time. Clark does wonderfully with routine and understands the farm schedule: meals, crate time, and outdoor breaks. He’s quick to come when called, sits nicely, is learning “down,” and is working on “wait.” He’s also learning the dog door and uses it confidently, even if he’s not fully potty-independent yet. He’s been introduced to cats and has shown gentle curiosity without overreacting, so with proper introductions, he should do just fine. Bonus points: no destructive chewing so far (we’re impressed—usually a slipper has been sacrificed by now ).
