Story
Introducing Winnie to the farm family. As a puppy, going through a brutal attack and then enduring procedure after procedure was a tough way to start life. Luckily, little Winnie landed safely with us. We were offering to help the owners, but ultimately they chose to surrender her to us because of the amount of work involved with her care. Winnie was attacked by another dog, we don't know any details, but her lower jaw was broken and they did some temp fix, but then her feeding tube came out and the owner had no more funds. So we offered to help get the feeding tube put back in, but then they decided her continued care would be overwhelming. We said yes. Then we found out more to the story. Long story short, we chose to follow our vets advice and we removed 1/4 (lower right side) of Winnie's jaw. She had completely healed up and is doing marvelous. To answer your next question, yes she is available for adoption. Please submit an application at thefurryfarmrescue.org to be considered for her. She will be spayed, microchipped, 3 rounds of DHPPV, deworming. Adoption fee is $350. We do not place first come, we vet applicants for the very best fit for the dog. Puppy Kindergarten and Obedience training are contract requirements. ##2568246##

Story
Rachel 4-Year-Old | Spayed Female Rat Terrier Current on Bordetella, DHPPV, Rabies, Deworming, and MicrochipAdoption Fee: $200 Meet Rachel — the sweetest little lady with a big heart and a survivor’s spirit! After recovering from both a broken hip and leg, she’s ready to start her next chapter in a forever home. Rachel adores people most of all and would be happiest as a full-time lap dog. She’s good with other dogs, and though cats make her a little nervous, she mostly just ignores them. She’s met kids and done well, but would prefer a home without young children who might try to carry her around. Rachel’s playful side comes out with stuffed toys, Benebones, and a gentle game of tug-of-war. She’s crate-trained, loves mealtime, and will happily go into her crate for a treat. She’s potty-trained but appreciates supervision and regular outdoor breaks — especially if it’s raining or snowing (a cozy sweater helps!). She’s got a few quirks that make her extra charming — alert barking when visitors arrive, a love for burrowing under blankets, and a fondness for sleeping in late. Rachel also knows how to use a dog ramp or stairs to keep her joints happy. After all she’s overcome, this resilient little terrier deserves the comfort of a home where she can be loved, spoiled, and cherished — whether as the center of attention or part of a small pack. Story
Meet George!George is a 7-year-old neutered Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix with the sweetest one-eyed wink you’ll ever see. He’s UTD on vaccinations and recently had an eye removal, but it certainly hasn’t dimmed his charm. This handsome little guy may have packed on a bit of “Turkey Weight” over the holiday season, and he’s hoping to find a workout partner who enjoys leisurely walks and cheering on small victories. George isn’t naturally motivated—he’d honestly prefer to snuggle on the couch and supervise your tasks instead of hitting the treadmill—but with a patient buddy by his side, he’s ready to get back into shape. George is truly the perfect senior-companion type of dog. Calm, loyal, affectionate, and happiest simply being near his person. Adoption Fee: $200 If you're looking for a mellow best friend with a heart of gold (and one adorable wink), George might just be your guy.   Furry Farm Rescue, established in 2017, is a foster home style rescue group in North Idaho. Story
Spot is a playful, smart, energetic puppy. He loves playing fetch up and down the hallway with his bouncy balls. He is enjoying the snow and will play outside happily as long as we will let him. He loves long walks and runs, and would benefit from a few walks a day. He enjoys chewing balls, ropes and bones. He is still learning not to chew things that aren't his. He listens to "leave it" and "drop it" commands pretty well, when you are diligent about watching him closely. Spot loves being playful with other dogs and kids. He would do better in a home with older kids as his size, energy level, and young age can be overpowering for little ones. He is still learning that the kids are not the same as puppies, and he would do well with kids that can take control and command him a little more. He has had several doggy playdates and time at doggy daycare and been with all sorts of breeds, sizes and ages. He has done great with all of them, and I think would thrive in a home with other dogs.
