Story
Meet Bruno! Bruno is a 4 ½-year-old shepherd/boxer mix with a goofy personality and a heart full of love. This handsome boy enjoys going for walks, spending time with his people, and showing off just how smart he is. He already knows several commands including sit, shake, and lay down, and he walks wonderfully on a leash. Bruno is a loving and loyal companion who does great with other dogs and older children. He is currently working on some resource guarding behaviors with balls, so he will need an experienced owner who understands strong, stubborn breeds and can continue helping him succeed with positive guidance and structure. If you’re looking for a fun, active, and affectionate best friend who will keep you smiling every day, Bruno may be the perfect fit for your home!

I AM EATING 3 CUPS OF PEDIGREE ADULT Meet Ryli! Ryli is a 2-year-old pit bull with a sweet personality and a playful spirit. She can be a little shy when first meeting new people and may need a little time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable she’s excited to say hello and have some fun. Ryli can get a bit mouthy when she’s really excited, so she will do best with an experienced owner who can continue working with her on good manners. If there are children in the home, they will need to be over the age of 10. With a little patience, guidance, and lots of love, Ryli is sure to become a loyal and playful companion.

Story
Meet Greta, a beautiful 4.5-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix with a nose for adventure, a big voice she LOVES to use and a heart that’s learning how to trust again. She knows basic obedience, loves scent work and exploring the world through her nose, and is looking for a patient, experienced adopter who understands that the best relationships take time to build. Her past has been a difficult one, including malnutrition and limited positive human interaction, so she can be unsure around new people and situations. Because of this, she needs a calm, understanding home that will give her reassurance, consistency, and the space she needs to settle in at her own pace. I do still have some resource guarding that my previous family worked very diligently with me to get me where i am today. She would do best as the only dog in the home because she prefers having all the attention to herself. She is not a fan of cats or other prey-like animals. She has previously lived successfully with older children who respected her boundaries and space, but homes with very young children may not be the best fit since she is still learning confidence and trust. This sweet girl is searching for someone willing to see beyond her rough start and give her the warm, loving home she deserves. With patience, understanding, and time, she has the ability to become a loyal and rewarding companion.

Story
Princess is a stunning 2-year-old Great Pyrenees with a strong, independent nature and a lot of potential in the right home. She came in with Luna, but we’ve been told she prefers to be the only animal, as she isn’t a fan of other dogs or cats. The shelter environment has her feeling pretty nervous right now, but with patience and understanding, her sweet side begins to show. Princess is the kind of dog who needs time to feel safe—but once she does, she has the ability to form a deep and meaningful bond. She would do best in a home where she can spend most of her time outdoors, as she isn’t used to indoor living. While she is a livestock breed, we were told she was kept on a lead while out on the property and was not actively guarding, so we’re unsure how she would do with livestock. Because of this, any introductions should be approached thoughtfully and with care. Princess also has a bit of an adventurous streak and may try to wander, so a very secure setup is essential to keep her safe. She’s looking for a confident, experienced owner who understands guardian breeds and is willing to give her the structure, space, and patience she needs to thrive. In the right environment, Princess has all the makings of a loyal, devoted companion who will truly shine once she feels at home.

Story
Hi, I'm Bane! I'm a 5-year-old Boxer/Pit Bull mix, and I came to CAC through no fault of my own. While my life has changed quite a bit, I'm hoping my forever family is just around the corner. I'm a super smart boy who loves to learn and is always eager to please. I can be a little shy and nervous when meeting new people, so slow introductions are a must for me. Once I know you're a friend, though, you'll discover that I'm one of the sweetest, most affectionate dogs around. Some of my favorite things in life are playing fetch, a good game of tug-of-war, and carrying around my beloved duck stuffed animal. Sometimes I'll play with it all by myself, and other times I'd love for you to join in on the fun! I also have a funny habit of forgetting how big I am—I often think I'm lap-dog sized and would be more than happy to squeeze in next to you for cuddles. My dream home is a place where I can relax and enjoy the simple things in life: a few tasty treats, daily adventures, and plenty of snuggles sprinkled throughout the day. I'm still learning that I don't always have to be the big tough guy. Because I naturally like to look out for my people, I'd do best in a home with older kids (15+) or children who understand that roughhousing isn't really my thing. I prefer when everyone is calm, kind, and respectful of each other. I would thrive with experienced owners who understand the lovable quirks of bully breeds, or with someone who's willing to earn my trust one delicious piece of chicken at a time. I've never really been left alone indoors or outdoors before, so I'll need patience, consistency, and positive training as I learn new routines. With a family committed to helping me grow and succeed, I know I'll be an amazing companion. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will make you laugh, keep you company, and remind you to appreciate life's simple joys, I might just be your guy. Love, Bane 🐾

Story
I'm Faith, a 3-year-old white and fawn pit bull terrier, and I'm ready to show you what love looks like 💕 I'm already spayed and, despite some recent challenges, I have a gentle heart and a cuddly nature that's just waiting to blossom in the right home. I'm currently healing from a broken leg, so I'll need someone patient and caring who can give me the quiet, calm environment I need to fully recover 🐾 If you're looking for a devoted companion who'll repay your kindness with endless affection, come meet me — I promise you won't regret it ✨
