Story
Storm and Luna are 4 years old and are brother and sister. They have been through training with a local trainer in obedience and commands etc. when they were 1 year old. They have been inside dogs in the house the whole time and are obviously house trained. They also have been on property that we put collars on that give audible sounds to keep them in boundary of property so they are accustomed to that. They are truly loving dogs and have been great the whole time we have had them. We would not give them up if our circumstances were different and didn't have to move to a community not allowing pets. They are very lazy most of the day but when taken out to play they are full on labs and love the water as they swim in our pond anytime allowed.

Story
Oh hey guys, Dasher here!Listen, I'm not trying to sound super high maintenance or whatever, but my accommodations aren't doing it for me. And I really want to be in my permanent home for Christmas. My foster family is great and all, I actually love them, but I need to bust out of here soon. I have no space for my ever-growing costumes, the house is crowded, and I can't even begin to tell you how bad these people snore!! Ha! Just kidding 😁..... or am I 😉. So anyway hmmm 🤔.... my ideal home would be Me... ONLY Muwah... I just can't handle the stress of sybs, always in my personal space.....blech! I don't mind walking on leash with them but that's it. I would love a big fenced in yard or at least a few strolls a day, gotta stretch them legs or they get stiff. I'm pretty good at sleeping in my crate when your gone, I'm a nice guy really, I just get bored and MAY get into trouble 😁. My foster momma taught me some good old fashion manners! Not to toot my own horn but I am pretty polite, can play a mean fetch and am the best darn couch buddy you'll ever meet!! And don't worry about me getting any of those yucky diseases because these ladies got me all fixed up with vaccines and hw prevention, of course I will need those regularly. Now if you're seriously looking for a roommate I would love to come over and check out your setup. I mean as long there's no yucky syblings.. blech. Just follow this link and fill out my application, because I gotta weed out the ""weirdos"" 🙊. https://www.pawsofadamscounty.com/adoption-foster-appwww.pawsofadamscounty.com

Story
MEET LYLA!Lyla is estimated to be around 5 years old. We are guessing she is some sort of a beagle/coonhound mix. She has been working on all house manners as this is likely the first time she has ever been inside a house. Lyla is potty trained and crated trained but would prefer a home where she doesn’t have to be crated frequently. She can still be quite stubborn about going into her kennel on command. Lyla will also snag your food or even your drink from you if you are not paying attention. She is very smart and very persistent if she wants something! She is good with other dogs but needs a home with no cats. She has not been around kids in her foster home but we see no indication that she wouldn’t be just fine with kids. Lyla will need a secure physical fence due to her love for exploring - typical beagle. She loves adventure but is not a cuddle bug. The big round dog beds are her favorite! Lyla is spayed, microchipped, on heartworm prevention and is up to date on rabies and DHLPP.She is ready for her adoptive home now! If you are interested in adopting Lyla please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application. When applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Story
Johnny Riggins is a 15 year old 24# Doodle. He is looking for somebody to share his Golden Years with. He is basically blind from cataracts but can see light and dark, and shadows close up. He is a bit hard of hearing, which is not uncommon (if human, he’s approx. 78 years young). He struggles with some arthritis for which he takes a vet prescribed chew daily to help with joint pain and discomfort. For all of the above reasons , it is best if he would be in a home with only a few or no stairs. He also requires a fence so he can easily learn his outdoor boundaries. He does best eating a combination of soft and hard food. He has had a complete dental and is feeling more comfortable eating out of a bowl with no more gum or toothaches. Johnny still prefers eating alone with no person or pet watching him.He is potty trained, has absolutely no need for a crate, does well with other dogs, and would assume he is fine with cats also. He loves older children or anyone who will cuddle. He loves being a lap-dog, however he is unable to jump up and will need some help getting on the couch with you. He loves being outside as long as he has a human nearby – he will cry loudly if he believes he is alone. He requires regular grooming, including between his paw pads. His fur is just now returning following a complete shave due to his previous grooming neglect.Johnny will simply sweep you off your feet! Johnny is best buds with Abby Rose. His favorite place is cuddling on a dog bed with Abby. These two have definitely bonded and would prefer to be together. Please consider adopting both!If you are interested in adopting Abby Rose and/or Johnny Riggins please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application. When applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Only complete applications will be considered. Needs special attention,
Story
🌸PLEASE READ CAREFULLY🌸🌸Miss Rolly is the runt of the litter of double Merle, Australian Shepherd puppies left behind in an apartment. She is about 5 months old and weighs about 15 pounds. She will probably weigh up to 25 pounds as an adult. 🌸Rolly is a special needs puppy that needs a special family. When two Merle colored dogs are bred to try to get a high dollar Merle colored dog, there is a risk that some of the puppies will be born with a lack of pigment and possible vision and hearing impairments. These puppies are usually euthanized, because they can’t be sold. Rolly is one of these puppies. Not only is she deaf with a visual impairment, she also has seizures, which are being controlled with medication twice a day. 🌸Rolly is not a throw away dog!She doesn’t let her disabilities stop her from living her best life. She uses her sense of smell, feeling movement, following close to people’s feet or other dogs to help her. She benefits from a willing companion dog. She will require a physical fence to keep her safe, and a family that will provide her with needed seizure medication for the rest of her life, and the mental and physical stimulation that will keep her from withdrawing due to her visual and hearing losses. 🌸Rolly is working on crate and potty training, and leash walking. A companion dog helps her learn these skills. She enjoys playing, loves people, including children, and is always ready for a cuddle! 🌸🌸Special thanks to Emily Schwartz for inviting Rolly to participate in her Puppy Headstart class. Rolly loved it, especially the treats!🌸Rolly is available to foster to adopt, is up to date on vaccines, rabies, been microchipped, and is on heartworm prevention. Her adoption will be finalized after her scheduled spay in June. If you are interested in adopting please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application. When applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Only complete applications will be considered.
