Story
Ellen aka Mama dog as she goes by, is looking for a very special home. Mama takes a long time to trust new people and bonds strongly to only one person when she deicides to let her guard down. Mama was found as a stray and taken to a small rural shelter with limited resources. Being a guarded soul as she is she was not at all handleable at the shelter by staff so we agreed to pull her so she can learn to trust in a home setting. Mama surprised the shelter staff with puppies days after being brought in. Having already made the commitment to pull Mama, we of course took the whole family. It took me and my family a while to gain her trust, especially in another new place, with day old puppies and lord knows what her life was like to land her a full term pregnant stray no-one claimed. Time went by and Mama raised her three puppies and was the absolute best mama dog she could be. Her pups were adopted when ready and Mama was listed as well. She was adopted by a very nice couple but unfortunately Mama ran away from them minutes after getting her home. Mama dog is just does not trust easily and as many dogs do, she refused to go to anyone and we worked the next 24 hours to live trap her and bring her back to our place. Mama showed how strongly bonded she is to me and still months later doesn't leave my side often. Mama dog is a flight risk in new places with new people so we have been wondering if staying here would be best for her. As most people in rescue, we have several resident dogs already and to keep a dog I feel is adoptable is not justifiable. Mama dog would absolutely prefer a home with less animals. A home where she can be a spoiled princess and someone's whole world. She is the most loyal you'll ever meet once she has decided you're her person. Although a new home and a new person will be an adjustment for her and may take her time to get comfortable, we truly feel she will be happier in the long run. One less dog here also opens up our house a little bit more allowing us to say yes to helping the next dog in need. Mama is spayed, vaccinated, been on monthly parasite prevention, has great house manners, is crate trained and leash trained. Mama can be off leash in the yard and stays with me and has wonderful recall. However, since her initial instinct is to run when scared, she can absolutely not be let outdoors off leash or without a fence until she has 100% settled in to her new home and is bounded with her person. She can coexist with dogs, cats, and chickens but she would also just love being an only pet. We will not require that though. What we are looking for is someone willing to give her time and space to learn to trust on her terms. She very much loves treats and offering snacks helps to speed along the bonding. She has been groomed regularly since with us but will likely be skittish with a new groomer as I am also the only groomer she has been to since in our care. We may never find the perfect fitting home for Mama dog but if there is one out there, I could never deny her that either. This is a good dog that deserves to be the center of someone's world and in rescue she has to share our love with so so many. Story
Birdie is an extremely loving silly girl. She is super playful and adores her people. Great with dogs and cats and she has even gotten used to the chickens and no longer chases them. She is crate trained, potty trained, has decent leash manners, and has done well in the house. She loves to cuddle on the couch with her foster dad and sneak kisses. She is easily one of the funniest dogs we have had come through. She has a huge personality and such human like facial expressions that sometimes I think she is going to just start talking. If interested please visit www.underdogsalvation.com to fill out an adoption application. Birdie's adoption fee is $250.   Please visit our website www.underdogsalvation.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Oneida is around 5 years old French Bulldog. This lady is not going to fit into every home so we will be sorting through applications to find the perfect fit for her, not just the first applicant. Oneida is fine with cats and can live with them peacefully. Oneida would do best in a home with no other dogs. She has a bad issue of guarding. food, toys, water bowl, bed, literally anything she likes she guards and will get hateful with other dogs if they don't stay away leading to fights. She would love a home that she can just be the spoiled queen she is. She is crate trained, seems to be basically potty trained (she is still a frenchie iykyk ) She LOVES to play with toys and will play fetch all day long. She is sweet and cuddly with her humans and lives for attention. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations as well as microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 Anyone interested in adoption should fill out an application on our website underdogsalvation.com. Story
Here is a dog that has a one track mind and that track leads to toys and the train often derails causing chaos and destruction...but gosh is he CUTE! Ledger is up to date on vaccines, neutered, heart worm tested and negative, and ready to start his next chapter! Ledger has loved all humans he has met since in our care but he will likely need sturdy children in the house as he can be a bit of a wrecking ball at times. He is all bulldog from is bulldozer body to his stubborn mind and will need an owner with some experience or that has done plenty of research. He is extremely sweet when he wants to cuddle but is also very playful. He is obsessed with toys. He walks well on leash, is house trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands. We did try to cat test him and are not confident that he will be able to live with cats. He was very overly interested and we do not want to risk it. He has met a few dogs here and is a bulldog through and through. He is pushy and rude and intrusive when meeting but he is not aggressive. He is a dominant personality and will not do well with other dominant or assertive dogs most likely. All in all Ledger is an amazing dog and going to make a great best friend for someone that knows, understands, and embraces his Bully side. Story
Hunter is roughly 12 months old and has already been let down a lot in her short life so shes looking for someone that will fully commit to her. Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and ready for a home! Adoption fee for Hunter is $400. Hunter still needs some training but she is eager to learn and highly treat motivated. She is great with other dogs, loves to play and rough house. She's super easy going and can get along with dog friends of all different temperaments. Hunter has also been around cats here and was interested but not overly so and definitely not aggressive. She adores all humans. She is great with kids but tiny ones may get jumped on our knocked over as she still has a lot off puppy energy.
