Story

She’s a two year old Frenchie mixed with something. She’s very protective and can fear other dogs. She’s a puller and requires significant redirection when other dogs are around during walks. Unfortunately she sheds a bit and we now know this is a health concern for our family. She’s such a sweetheart, a glutton for treats, and very appropriate with owners. We got her from a coworker who claimed to not have time for her. She was bred with that previous owner as well. Our hope is to find a great home for her where she will be safe to learn, love, and play. Thanks!

Story

Koda was found at 7mos by IndyHumane. Was brought in, adopted sometime after, and the then owners surrendered her seemingly due to relocation. My fiancée and I adopted her on Oct. 13th, and Koda unfortunately is showing signs of separation anxiety. While we enjoy her company immensely, and she is very good when we’re home. We don’t have the time to be able to dedicate to her to help resolve her anxiety problems. We would for someone who can be there for her, and give support where she needs currently. Story

Frodo is the sweetest, most lovable dog you will ever meet. He loves to play outside no matter the weather and is a quiet dog - he rarely ever barks. He gets along great with our other dog and our two small children. He loves to run around and play but is also perfectly content cuddling with you on the couch. He just wants love!He came from a shelter and can be nervous or even a tad aggressive when meeting other dogs for the first time but he calms down quickly and they become fast friends (he is besties with our other dog, gets along with neighbors dogs, gets to be in the “social group” at the boarders, etc). As noted, he is fully house trained, crate trained and knows basic commands but could probably benefit from some basic doggie classes. He is honestly a great dog, but as we are growing our family (in human terms :) ) he is just not getting the love and attention he deserves. $50 will be donated to the hamilton county humane society, which is where we adopted him.

Story

Uma was rescued when she was around 2 years old. She has been such an amazing dog. Uma is now 8 or 9 years old. She is still full of energy and needs a home that has the time and space to play with her. She does best in a fenced in yard and as a solo dog. She also is a huge cuddler! She loves to get cozy on top of a blanket and cuddle up right next to you. That makes her a great companion. Uma is also good with kids and others. She can be good with other dogs, but needs to be slowly integrated with someone who has experience with this. She has gotten along with an elder dog and puppies she lived with. Uma is a great dog, and we only are rehoming because our toddler is allergic and has severe asthma that has led to several hospitalization. This decision wasn’t taken lightly, but we need to eliminate as many factors contributing to the asthma so we do not have to go through seeing her struggling so hard to breathe again. Happy to chat more for those interested in her companionship!

Penelope was found abandoned in Fort Harrison Park a week ago. She is micro-chipped but her owner is unreachable and there is no matching missing dog posting. She is well behaved, cuddly, and a perfect lap dog. She gets lonely and would do best in a home with other dogs or someone who is home a lot to keep her company. She is perfectly house trained and has displayed no behavioral issues aside from, perhaps, over-attachment. She is missing a leg but has no issue running and climbing stairs. We were able to find vet records from up until a year ago. She is six years old, healthy, and happy. My work commitments make it challenging to keep her permanently, but I will care for her as long as necessary to find a loving home.

He is potty trained, knows sit, lay down, and paw, and is great with kids and babies. He has no aggression toward people or food. He would do best as the only dog in the home. He is neutered, microchipped, and will come with his harness, leash, food, toys, and bed. I’m looking for a good, responsible home for him.
