Story
Meet Chance!!! He is a 6-year-old large-breed gentleman weighing around 80 lbs who’s ready for his next chapter. He’s a friendly, easygoing guy with a big love for toys and a solid foundation of good manners—he already knows “sit” and enjoys engaging with his people. Chance would benefit from a healthy feeding and exercise plan to help him feel his best, and he seems more than happy to join you for daily walks or playtime. His past foster homes have nothing but great things to say about him, describing Chance as social, playful, cuddly, and overall fairly calm for a dog his size. He enjoys companionship and would love a home where he can soak up attention and be part of everyday life. We recommend that all family members meet Chance prior to adoption to make sure everyone starts off comfortable and connected. When it comes to other dogs, Chance appears to have preferences, and we’re hoping to learn more about that during his stay with us. He may be able to live with another dog, but we’d like to do a meet-and-greet at the shelter to ensure it’s a good match. In his next home, Chance would also benefit from a refresher on a consistent potty schedule, which should help him settle in smoothly and set him up for success. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives. If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.

Story
Meet Kamon!!!Kamon is a 10-month-old male who’s already around 50 pounds and expected to be a large dog once fully grown. He came to us through an interstate transfer from another shelter, so much of his history is unknown, but he’s been making a great impression during his time here.At the shelter, Kamon has been a social, people-oriented dog who enjoys being around his humans. Because of his friendly nature, we recommend that all family members meet him prior to adoption to ensure a good fit. Kamon has also interacted well with other dogs and has shown tolerance even with more forward or “invasive” canine play styles. With gradual introductions and a thoughtful management plan, he may be able to live with another dog.As a young dog, Kamon would benefit greatly from continued training in the home. He’s at an ideal age to learn good habits and build on his social skills. With structure, guidance, and ongoing training, Kamon has the potential to grow into a well-rounded and enjoyable companion. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives. If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.

Story
Meet Zetta!!!Zetta is a beautiful 3-year-old white girl, weighing about 37 pounds of pure love. She may be a little weary or unsure when meeting new people at first, but don’t let that fool you — this lovely lady warms up quickly once she knows she’s safe. And when she does? Get ready for the sweetest companion by your side!Zetta truly enjoyed sitting on the couch next to her people, soaking up gentle pets and quiet company. She’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and cherishes those calm, cozy moments. Her affectionate nature really shines once she’s had a little time to settle in.Because she can be a bit cautious initially, we recommend that all family members meet Zetta before adoption to ensure everyone starts off on the right paw. She’ll likely need some time to decompress and adjust in a new home — patience and understanding will help her blossom into her very best self.Zetta may prefer to be more of a stay-at-home type of dog, happiest in a stable routine with her favorite people nearby. If there are other dogs in the home, introductions should be gradual and include a thoughtful separation plan to help everyone feel comfortable. With cats, she may also find success given slow, structured introductions and proper management.Zetta is a gentle, loyal girl ready to share her heart with a family willing to give her a little time and a lot of love. In return, she’ll offer cozy couch snuggles and devoted companionship. She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.

He’s incredibly social and actively seeks out attention, happily soaking up pets, praise, and affection from anyone willing to give it. His friendly, outgoing personality makes him a bright light wherever he goes!Jasper seems to really enjoy the company of other dogs and may thrive in a home with canine companions. With thoughtful introductions, supervision, and the ability to provide separation when needed, he has great potential to share his home successfully with another dog. This sweet boy absolutely LOVES going for walks and spending time outdoors. Story
Meet Bonnie!!!This beautiful 6-year-old gal weighs about 60 pounds and came to us from another shelter, so much of her past is a mystery. What we do know is who she is now: a spunky, social lady with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Bonnie loves to engage with her people, enjoys her toys, and has a nice balance of playful energy and the ability to settle down when it’s time to relax.Because of her size and enthusiastic energy, we recommend Bonnie for a home with older children. Younger kids may find her zest for life a bit overwhelming, and there’s potential for accidental bumps simply due to her strength—through no fault of her own. We’d love for any children in the home to meet Bonnie before adoption to make sure everyone feels comfortable and happy together.Bonnie has enjoyed meeting other dogs here at the shelter, and with slow, thoughtful introductions, she may be able to live with a canine companion. She would thrive in a home committed to continuing her training, as she’s a smart girl who enjoys learning and engagement. Friendly, affectionate, and full of personality, Bonnie is ready to find the people who will appreciate her and help her shine. She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on her vaccinations and preventatives. If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.
