Thanks to a grant from the Petfinder Foundation, my adoption fee is 75% off. So I'm only $50 to adopt. Just like in the Trolls movies, these puppies are learning that the world can be bright, kind, and full of friendship. This group of pups haven't been around many people, so they are pretty scared and nervous right now. Some are starting to open up, while others are still finding their rhythm. The staff is working to teach them that the world (and people!) can be a safe and loving place. These pups will need adopters who understand that every Troll learns to sing their own song in their own time. With love, consistency, and a little faith, their true colors are sure to shine. The breed mix is a guess and somewhat of a mystery. They are expected to be medium size dogs when grown based on the adult dogs in the group - around 25-35 lbs. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! Hi there! I'm Cheech and I am a 4 year old Lab/Bully mix. I was at the city pound for almost a whole year with no luck at finding my forever home. I was brought to PCHS in hopes of getting a better chance of being adopted. I'm a sweet boy and just need someone to teach me some manners. I'm highly food and treat motivated and have already got sit down pat, so I'm excited to know of all the other things I can learn! I seem to do okay with other dogs but would need a proper introduction to be safe. Cats on the other hand seem a little too interesting so I'd be best to go to a home without kitty friends. I do good with children too! I'm not sure if I am housetrained, but I am used to a doggy door and do great with that so I'm sure once I get a set potty-schedule in a home I'll do just fine. I'm a very sweet girl with a heart even bigger than my waistline lol. I'm supposed to be around 35 lbs...but I'm currently a "full-figured" lady, weighing 94 lbs... However, I'm more than ready to start my fitness journey with a partner who loves to walk as much as they love to cuddle. I don't let my extra curves slow down my spirit.
