Story
Millie's a 6 y/o American foxhound/beagle mix and I rescued her when she was about 1 y/o. She was a street dog from FL. Im looking for a new home for Millie for a couple reasons. My fiancee and I moved in together along with her 2 cats. Due to Millies prey drive she should not be homed with cats. She is good with kids and other dogs. My fiancee and I work full time and Millie is spending most of the day indoors or in our small fenced in yard. Millie loves spending time outdoors accompanied by a person and/or other dogs. She is mellow most of the time when she is indoors and almost never bays or barks. Shes very sweet and loves affection. Her ideal home is one where she would get plenty of activity. I think she would do very well in a home with another dog(s) and is able to get a couple hours of activity every day. She is house/crate trained. Rides well in cars. Comes with all dog supplies like bed, leash/harness, auto feeder, sweater, etc. No health issues.

Story
Everybody meet Zadie!! Zadie is an absolute doll!! She is gentle and sweet and is a staff favorite. Zadie keeps her kennel clean, and we think she would be pretty easy to house break. We think she is some sort of hound pointer mix, about 2 years old weighing in at about 45 pounds. Zadie is a gentle girl who loves to give hugs. She would love a home with room to run and/or an active family. She is willing to snuggle just as much as she'd love a good hike or long walk. If you are interested in meeting Zadie, please submit an application at animalrescuefoundation.org/adoptionapplication Please share to help us get this girl home finally!!

Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comAugust 20, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. If you are looking for an amazing but special dog who needs a little bit of a calmer lifestyle, I am your man!!!! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info!
