Meet Lula - Loving 2-Year-Old Seeking Active Family. Lula is an energetic, affectionate dog adopted as a puppy (turning 2 in October 2026). She thrives with kids and is great with cats, though her herding instincts sometimes cause playful nibbling during active play. Engaging, playful, and loving. Territorial with strangers/other dogs initially but warms up quickly once introduced. Pulls on leash occasionally, especially when excited to greet other dogs. Recently fractured her right femur and underwent successful surgery with an implant. Currently recovering well with minimal limping/pain. Follow-up X-rays scheduled May 22nd and potentially 4 weeks later. On sedation medication temporarily to limit activity during healing. We've realized our busy schedules don't meet her energy and engagement needs. She's home alone frequently, leading to boredom and destructive chewing (not crated). After complete medical recovery and clearance (estimated late June/July 2026). Serious inquiries only

Story

Koda is a 7yo GSD that we’ve had since she was a few weeks old. She’s a classic GSD - very intelligent, loyal, protective, playful, athletic and she’s been good with our young family. She’s very well trained - we went through the Off Leash program with her and put a lot of time into training. She’s been part of a two dog household with the other GSD pictured for the past several years and she’s loved the company. We are putting both up for adoption and would love it if they ended up together! She’s playful and can get along with other dogs but she can be assertive and play very physically. Takes time to get comfortable with them and has had a dust up or two at a dog park back in the day - she doesn’t instigate but also doesn’t back down. She’d love a home with plenty of space to play and a dog-friend or engaged owner to keep up with her!

Samson is a ~5yo German shepherd we rescued several years ago. He’s a golden retriever in a German shepherd’s body! Very affectionate, submissive, friendly, gentle and has been great with our now 4yo daughter. He’s sensitive about his paws and nervous about the vet, but has been a great family pet for us.Samson would thrive in a home with a loving, invested owner, plenty of physical space for walks and play. He’s a big dog so probably best for an experienced owner but really would fit in any home with an attentive, caring owner!He is one of two GSD’s we are listing for adoption to a good home and has lived in a two dog home as long as he’s been with us.

Everybody meet Zadie!! Zadie is an absolute doll!! She is gentle and sweet and is a staff favorite. Zadie keeps her kennel clean, and we think she would be pretty easy to house break. We think she is some sort of hound pointer mix, about 2 years old weighing in at about 45 pounds. Zadie is a gentle girl who loves to give hugs. She would love a home with room to run and/or an active family. She is willing to snuggle just as much as she'd love a good hike or long walk. Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations! Story

Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash.
