Story
Casper is about 13 years old. I had Casper for about 10 years and unfortunately, I can no longer take good care of him. He is a good dog and friendly. He likes walks and play time, listens to commands such as come, stay, sit. He prefers softer food since he has some bad teeth. Looking for someone that can adopt Casper and take better care of him. He is a sweet dog and wish I can keep him, but my circumstances have changed and unfortunately can no longer keep him.

Story
Some may say that the prettiest dog at the shelter right now is our girl Mabel. And they would not be wrong! Mabel is a beautiful young lab that is the perfect size. She is dainty and delicate with her people. She is crate trained and really enjoys being in her space. This poor baby girl came from a not great situation where she did not have much chance to learn about many normal dog things. Now she can be fearful and nervous. She will need patient adopters who will keep her world small and safe and give her time to become her best self. Mabel could possibly live with a mature helper dog who can give her some confidence and show her the wonders of being a dog. She could possibly live with a dog-savvy cat. Or maybe live with children who can respect a shy dog. Do you think this sweet girl is for you? Come say hello to Mabel.

Story
Hound lovers rejoice! Meet Whisper, an active gal who loves sniffy walks and romping around with her dog friends. Whisper came to us by way of the South, so we don’t know a lot about her history. She can be very worried in new environments, and is still getting the hang of living in a house, so she’s likely to need support as she transitions to living in a new home. Whisper is looking for an adopter with some patience and a good sense of humor, and who’s ready to help her channel all of her energy into good manners and home skills using positive reinforcement training methods. As a curious kiddo who likes to try and sniff out snacks and other fun things, Whisper will definitely need some environmental management while she’s adjusting to living in a house to ensure she’s making all the right choices! She might like to go home with a well-matched dog friend, and may potentially be able to go home with a dog-savvy cat with complete separation to start. Any children in the home should be old enough to participate in her training and management plan, and to give her space as needed while she adjusts. If you`re ready to help Whisper shine, stop by our Cape Cod Adoption Center during open hours and our team would be happy to tell you more about her!

Story
Millie is a smushy young pittie mix looking for her new home! This sweet kiddo likes to hit the trails to explore and sniff around, and loves to wrap it all up with some snacks and couch time with her people. Millie can be a bit reserved at first when making new friends, but warms up quickly and is looking for a patient family who can give an adopted dog some time to decompress in the new home.Millie`s a dog with a heart as big as her size, so her greetings can be a little on the rude side - potential adopters should be prepared to help her learn how to get someone`s attention without jumping on them! Lucklly she is a foodie, and loves to train using positive reinforcement methods. This sweet, smushy girl has been through a few transitions recently, and may need a gentle start, but once she feels secure, she’ll reward you with endless love and loyalty!
