My pet is a white dog named Luna. She answers to her name and has tear staining around her eyes (angel eyes). She is super sweet, playful, and loves being around people. She is 4 years old. She only bites if you smack her on the butt. She doesn’t eat dog food but eats ham and meat.

Story
Cooper is a big, handsome guy looking for a home of his own. He loves to go for slow, sniffy walks or have a quiet, comfy place for a nice nap. He really likes getting treats, so he is a great training buddy. Although he is so big and strong, this guy walks very nicely on a leash. In his previous home, Cooper had good house manners and lived with kids. Cooper is not very comfortable around other dogs so he would likely do best in a home where he was best and only dog. Cooper can also be worried around new people so he is looking for a quiet home where he can settle at his own pace. He may not be ready for pets right away, so he hopes his new adopters become well versed in reading doggy body language. This big beautiful dog is having a tough time at the noisy shelter. Would you like to help him out? Come meet Cooper.

Story
Meet Rocky the one year old lab/saint bernard mix! This fella is 64 pounds of big, heaping energy, love for life, and silliness. Despite being a year old, Rocky is still learning basic skills given hes really still a puppy at heart, just residing in an enormous body. He brings his absolute all to interactions, including jumping, humping, and when most excited, using his mouth. While these behaviors can be off-putting, it has been observed by our behavior team that a lot of these behaviors appear to be one of the primary ways he learned to communicate in the past. In the short time he`s been with us, we`ve been working hard to identify what he is trying to tell his handlers during interactions- whether that be that he`s REALLY excited or that he`s having a hard time and needs a different approach. Rocky is learning lots of new skills with a force free, positive reinforcement based approach to his care, which is new for him and takes a lot of patience to break down each step of his growth into bite-sized pieces for his best chance at success. He is doing well learning leash walking skills, settling in office spaces, and learning how to access engagement with people in a polite way.One of our favorite things about Rocky is how much he LOVES dogs! He`s a bit of a wild man on his approach, but has been doing well practicing a more casual approach. We`ve seen him with a wide variety of dogs, but he`d likely do best living with a dog who is tolerant of a big goober and a family who is ready to support their relationship as it blooms. He has never lived with a cat but potentially could with a thoughtful introduction. Rocky has lived with kids, but he would do best with children who can participate in his learning with the direction of adults.

Story
Meet Cady! If you’re looking for a smart, sweet, and sporty companion, then Cady’s the gal for you. Cady is still working on her leash manners, but is very foodie and is making really great progress on her skills using positive reinforcement training. She loves long, sniffy walks (or even runs!), and loves getting silly with toys or playing in the yard.Cady can be on the worried side when it comes to interacting with strangers, so would prefer a quieter, lower-traffic home as she works on building confidence. She lived with children in her previous home, but was worried or overwhelmed during some interactions with them, so she would do best in an adult-only home.Cady doesn’t have experience living with another dog, but could do well with a well-matched dog companion with a slow intro. She says no thank you to living with cats, please!Cady often starts off a little cautious, but give her time and a cozy spot to settle in and you’ll see her sweet and loving personality shine!

Story
Meet our resident big boy Jason! His favorite things are sniffywalks, zooming around in a yard, his people, and treats. Jason loves toplay and is full of energy, and would make a great companion for a hiker, runner, or just an admirer of the great outdoors. While he has lived with kids in his previous home, he is a big rowdy guy, so kids on the older or sturdier side could be a good fit. Jason has been through a few transitions recently, and may need a gentlestart, but once they feel secure, theyll reward you with endless loveand loyalty!
