If you are interested in HAZEL or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam3.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. HAZEL is the most adorable girl ever! And she has the personality to match! She is gentle, loving and absolutely loves to snuggle. She can be a little shy at first, but once she knows and trusts you, she is the best cuddle buddy you could ever ask for. To know HAZEL is to love her, it is impossible not to do so. Most of HAZEL’s days are spent lounging on the couch, hanging in the backyard or snuggling in bed with her foster dads. HAZEL gets along well with other dogs and absolutely adores her doggie foster siblings. She fit into her foster family seamlessly and would be happiest in a home with at least one other pup friend. HAZEL is an absolute dream to live with. She minds her manners in the house, walks well on a leash and is a perfect passenger in the car. She also knows not to potty in the house and is well-behaved in her crate when her foster family is away. HAZEL’s forever family will feel like they hit the doggie jackpot with this precious baby! To see even more pictures of HAZEL, please copy and paste the following link into your browser: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5ubm6esm0slhgjj/AAC30eFhjOCP8mLF0uwIxutWa?dl=0 HAZEL is spayed, microchipped and up date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations. Her $490 adoption fee includes her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the New England area after she is officially adopted. For an adoption application on HAZEL click here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! SOFIA is as delightful as she is adorable. She is a strong, happy girl who wants nothing more than to please her humans. She is smart, sweet and so much fun. Her favorite things are playing and snuggling in your lap. She also loves lounging outside in the sun. Her sparkling, soulful eyes radiate kindness. After just a short time with her, you will know just what an amazing dog she is. SOFIA is an incredibly loyal and endlessly affectionate kind of pup. She loves new people and loves to greet them with all sorts of wiggles. SOFIA mostly likes to have fun. She even knows the names of all of her toys. Whether it be self entertaining with her beloved toys or going to doggie daycare, this goofball is always having fun. She also loves playing with other dogs and gets along well with everyone she meets. She is a confident dog who would happily accompany her family on any and all outdoor activities. She is the type of dog that loves a daily excursion and would make a perfect companion for all of life's adventures. Story
This big guy is about 7 years old and 70 lbs. Don't let his age fool you as he still acts like a big puppy. He has got a big bark, but he's just looking for your love and attention. He wasn't allowed in the apartment his owner was in and came to us in hopes to find a home that will be better suited. He's strong and doesn't realize his size. A home with a fenced yard would be best, and no small children as he could easily knock them down (because he's so excited to see them). This good boy knows sit, paw and down but needs a firm hand for handling. He is very strong on a leash and would do best with someone equally as strong. He seems unfazed by our cats. With other dogs he can be obnoxious playing and would need a meet and greet. Xylo tested positive for a common tick borne disease, Anaplasmosis. As such, he will need to go home with an antibiotic treatment. Don't let this scare you away, the prognosis is very good and once treated should not impact his quality of life. Story
This big girl was left tied to our fence back in October..She bonds quickly with people so it is even more sad that she was simply abandoned. While she is sweet and loving, we are recommending that she be an only pet and have no small children (under 13) in her new home. If you are interested in this girl, come by and meet her, spend some time and you will see what great dog she is. She has just had a rough life. She likes to snuggle up and be affectionate once she knows you. Not the best candidate for a dog park as she is VERY strong and doesn't know her size. We think she's about 4 years old and she weights around 100 pounds. Because Faith is a special adoption and has been waiting for far too long for a furever home we have reduced her adoption fee, and applications must be processed and approved by management.
