Story
Meet Stella, a loving playful cuddly almost 3 year old silver lab! Stella was raised in a loving home with one other Labrador retriever. She knows basic obedience very well (sit, stay, lay down, paw, place and cage) I can send videos of this as well. She is completely house trained and is good on a leash and wont run away when off leash. She absolutely loves car rides and cuddling on the couch with you. She will literally become your best friend especially if you spoil her with treats. It breaks my heart that after getting our third dog, Stella has become resource aggressive towards the other 2 dogs and as much as we hate to see her go we know Stella will thrive in a new home that has no other pets. She is currently in training and the trainers love her too but unfortunately Stella is a people pleaser not an animal pleaser. Stella is looking for a home with a fenced in yard and someone to love and play with her. We hope you will love Stella as much as we have!

Story
Name: Amaya Age: 10 years young Breed: Chihuahua or Chiweenie Personality: Timid Amaya's Story: Amaya is a sassy gentle soul who found herself in a tough situation. She was abused and abandoned. We think at one point she was once a cherished family member, but sadly, her world was turned upside down. This trauma has caused her to be very scared. She can be very sweet after she gets to know you. She does have a typically chi personality. Amay is fearful in new situations. We pulled her sight unseen, we felt so bad for her little body caring around this giant mass. She was in so much pain for years. We need to find a owner that will understand that her life took an unexpected twist, that day she was found alone in the middle of the street. The mass turned out to be a hernia. She has had surgery to remove it. We need a special understanding home that will ensure that her golden years are filled with love, care, and happiness. She gets along well with dogs and cats. Can dance for food and treats. It's very cute. Her mass was not cancer and she has perfect blood work and ekg. She does have a few Personalities, one is sweet and the other stubord . She is the boss in her little head. lol She may be a bit shy at first, but her heart is as big as they come. Once she warms up to you, she will be your most loyal companion. Despite being 10 years old, Amaya has a surprising amount of energy. Age is just a number to Amaya!

Story
Lulu is 5 years old. She was adopted from a pet store in New Jersey. She is the friendliest dog that I have ever seen. She gets along with all animals and humans and likes to approach strangers. She loves being petted and always wants to cuddle at owners feet when sleeping. Lulu is currently being fostered because the owner has a newborn with allergies.

Story
Hello. Our names are Ceil and Stacy and we are 2 bonded females, (mother and daughter), that need to find a home together. We were found as strays in NJ. The kind people who found us searched for our owners, but when they were not located, Penny Angels Beagle Rescue (PABR) was contacted and they agreed to help us. We were named after 2 special PABR volunteers (a mother and daughter) after the human mother, Ceil, passed away. These 2 volunteers were so loving and loyal to each other, just like us beagles, so we are honored to carry their names to represent the incredible bond that they shared with each other. When we arrived in Rescue in December 2023, we were in pretty bad shape. My beagle mom (Ceil) tested positive for heartworms and was treated for it. Heartworms are transmitted through the bite of an infected mosquito. Heartworms grow and multiply and then make their way through the blood vessels of the heart and lungs. If left untreated, heartworms can cause a lot of damage. Luckily, my mom got the treatment that she needed and is doing well. She will need to be retested for heartworms in approx. 9 months and yearly (as per your veterinarian’s instructions), and will go home with a supply of heartworm preventative. We both should be given heartworm medication monthly to prevent this from happening again. My beagle mom, Ceil, is approx. 5 years old and weighs 18 lbs. As her daughter, Stacy, I am approx. 2 ½ years old and weigh 25 lbs. My momma Ceil is a shy and quiet girl, which is why I, (Stacy), am doing the ‘talking’. Loud noises and sudden movements might startle momma Ceil, so a quiet home without small children would be best. I am a bit more outgoing than my mom and try to ‘go with the flow’ of things. My mom and I sleep in the crate together and eat together, which is why we are a ‘package deal’ and must get adopted together. I walk well on a leash (while wearing a harness). When we are walked together, my mom is always looking for me to make sure I am close by her. We are spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date with our vaccinations. We are using a doggie door in Rescue during the day and will need to learn new rules in your home. We get along well with other dogs. We snuggle with each other and will gladly snuggle with you. We are sweet girls that deserve a 2nd chance at life in a home filled with love and patience. Is your heart big enough for us both? If you are interested in adopting Ceil and Stacy, please fill out an application and submit it to Penny Angels Beagle Rescue. The adoption fee for both dogs is $450, cash or check. The application is available at www.pennyangelsbeaglerescue.com. If your application is approved, you will be contacted by email or phone and then will complete the adoption process at PetSmart in Mays Landing, NJ on Saturday between 11-2 pm. If you have any questions, contact beagler534@comcast.net or emnase@aol.com, or call Penny Angels Beagle Rescue at 609-965-9476. Thank you!

Story
Hi. My name is Sadie Pickles and I need to find a person or family that will love me forever. I am a female beagle-mix. I am approx. 3 ½ yrs. old and weigh ~ 42 lbs. I was recently surrendered to Penny Angels Beagle Rescue because my previous owner said that I love attention and would do anything for it. During a petting session by my previous owner, I snapped at the other dog in the home when he tried to be a part of the ‘session’, and I also broke skin on my owner’s hand. I have also growled and snapped at the grandkids when I lived with them. I don’t know what happened to make me act that way. It would be best for me to find a home with an experienced dog owner with older children. Because of my history, no small or young kids (including grand-kids) should be left unsupervised around me. I have a lot of energy and would do well with someone who can give me one-on-one attention, though I am also an independent girl. I get along fine with the other dogs in Rescue but probably shouldn’t go to a home with another high energy dog. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to take me to training classes to see how you can better address potential issues that might arise. I am spayed and up-to-date with my vaccinations. I am using a doggie door in Rescue during the day and will need to learn new rules in your home. I am a sweet, playful, and loving girl. I am very smart and inquisitive, and I know some basic commands. I am a fast learner, too, and I love to please people. I walk well with a harness but would also be good in a home with a fenced-in yard. If you could take me for walks to work off some of my energy (or play with me inside or outside in the yard), that would be good for me. I am crate-trained and love my crate, though I haven’t needed to use it as much lately; I was given full run of the house in my previous home without problems. (My large crate, crate pads, and dog bed are included with my adoption.) I really hope that I can find someone willing to give me a second chance. If you are interested in adopting Sadie Pickles, please fill out an application and submit it to Penny Angels Beagle Rescue. Her adoption fee is $225, cash or check. Thank you!
