Story
Meet Knox, a gentle giant and loyal shadow who is ready for a new best friend. Raised in a loving home, he is professionally trained by J Mack K9 and knows sit, down, heel, stay, and come. He is fully potty and crate trained, sleeping soundly in his cage at night.Knox is high-energy and strong, so he needs a home with a fenced yard and no small children. He is easy to train and highly motivated by hot dogs—his favorite treat for nail clippings! Please note he has a poultry allergy and requires a poultry-free diet.Knox is a soulful companion who is deeply loved and spoiled, and he is ready to bring that same devotion to a lucky new family. I hope to find a home that I can keep in contact with him and send him toys.

Introducing Nila! She was just 8 weeks old when she was found abandoned in an overcrowded shelter. But now, she’s is in a loving foster home and learning what it means to be a dog—playing, exploring, and making new furry friends. Nila wasn't socialized with humans as a puppy and she is gaining confidence each day. She will need someone that is going to be patient and understand her shy nature. Nila is about 6 months old and weighs approximately 30 pounds. She has one brown eye and one blue eye. She is crate trained and housebroken. If you’re looking to add a wonderful, playful companion to your family, please consider adopting Nila. Feel free to reach out if you want to learn more about this amazing pup! Story
Please fill out a online adoption for at www.atlanticcountycanines.com UPDATE, we have had Lexi a few days and she a sweet dog. She gets along with all people and dogs. Lexi is one of three dogs we took in recently. It is clear that all three dogs were very loved, and we are still getting to know them as they settle into their new environments. All three dogs are reported to be good with dogs, kids and cats. All three dogs are in need of full veterinary care, as their last vet visit was approximately two years ago. Our rescue will be covering all of these costs. Lexi is spayed. She will be up to date on all of her vaccinations and receive any additional care she may need before adoption. We are still learning more about her temperament. So far, she has done well with other dogs during initial introductions. With people, she can be a little shy and standoffish at first, but we expect that she will open up as she gains confidence and trust in her new environment. As a reminder, we are a private rescue organization rather than a public shelter. We frequently cover significant out-of-pocket costs to ensure our dogs receive all necessary veterinary care prior to adoption. Our primary mission is to help senior dogs and those with medical needs, and your adoption donation directly supports these efforts. All of our animals live in foster homes. Meet-and-greet appointments are only arranged after a volunteer has contacted you and reviewed your application. We do not operate like a shelter with regular public visiting hours. We do bring our fully vetted adoptable dogs to Paw Dazzle Pet Bakery in Smithville to showcase them.If you are interested in moving forward, the link to apply for her is below. Please feel free to reach out with any questions at pawdazzlepet@gmail.comhttps://www.atlanticcountycanines.com

Story
Please note, this is a courtesy post—Atlantic County Canines makes no claims or warranties regarding Cosmo’s temperament or health. Our only goal is to help these two find the loving home they desperately need. Both Cosmo and Bella were heartbreakingly left at a local New Jersey boarding kennel. Their owners never returned for them, even though they once lived in a home.Cosmo is especially shy and undersocialized; it took us several minutes just to gain his trust. However, once he warms up, he enjoys attention from those he knows. He is good with everyone at the kennel after getting comfortable but remains fearful in new situations. He is neutered and up-to-date on all his shots. He is very sweet with the people he knows. We don’t know how Cosmo reacts to other dogs besides his mother, Bella (we believe she is his mom). If you already have another dog at home, we’d want to arrange a meet-and-greet first to ensure everyone gets along safely. Please consider opening your heart and home to Cosmo (and possibly Bella). If you have any questions or would like more information about meeting them, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re simply trying our best to help these deserving dogs find the family that will finally show them what love really means.
