Hello! My name is Frankie and I am an older beagle that needs to find a new place to live. I am approx. 9 years old and weigh 25-30 lbs. I was surrendered to Penny Angels in June of 2022 after being in a home for 5 years. I spent many months looking for my new home. (I don't always 'show' well at PetSmart and knew that I would have to work harder to meet the special person that was willing to give me a chance.) I was recently adopted along with another beagle but found my way back to Penny Angels because I didn't get along with the cats in the home. My previous owner tried to make things work and was so sad that I had to go back to Rescue. I need to be the ONLY dog in a home with older children (and NO cats, of course). I am neutered and up-to-date with my vaccinations. I am also current on heartworm preventative. I am house-trained and using a doggie door in Rescue. I will need to learn new rules in your home. I like to play with toys and enjoy lounging on the couch. I am active, at times, and enjoy going for walks. I walk best with a harness but I sometimes ‘pull’. Even though I am happy to be in Rescue and NOT in a shelter, I know that I would be happier in a home of my own. Do you have room in your heart for me? I was rescued from a local shelter in New Jersey. Penny Angels rescued me, Mary, and our 3 beagle-mix ‘pups’: Happy, Tina, & Gloria. I don’t know why we all ended up at the shelter, but we were happy to be saved by Penny Angels! I get along fine with the other dogs in Rescue. I was recently neutered and I’m up-to-date with my vaccinations. I like to eat but I am a little thin right now and need to gain some weight.
