Story
Roxy is a 7 year old female pitbull I've had her since she was 9 weeks old. Im having to rehome her because I went through a domestic violence divorce ans cant keep her where im living and the person fostering her can no longer keep her. Roxy is potty ans crate trained. She isn't leash trained will need re trained. She does have allergies during spring time. Loves to cuddle and play tug of war. She can be hyper at times. Mainly when you first come home or shes super excited about something. Or when someone comes over shes anxious to greet them. She's been a mommas girl since I got her. She does well with kids of all ages , women, little skiddish towards men because of recent events that happened in our lives but once warmed up shes great! Shes very vocal like her momma and will let you know when she wants something . Roxy does know basic commands like sit, stay, give paw.

Story
Hello there! This beautiful dog is Olive. She is 12-13 years old. I have had her for 10 years after rescuing her from a shelter. Unfortunately her story before the shelter was sad. She was abused and heavily neglected. They made her fight for her food, had her tied to a chain that dug into her neck and beaten on her to the point that she was terrified of anyone who approached her. Thankfully, my sister adopted her from the shelter for my niece as an emotional support animal. It was all wonderful until the effects of the abuse started to show in her behavior. At the time, we couldn’t have that around my niece. So I took her in and worked with her as much as I could to get these habits out of her system. She has come a LONG WAY. Now she CAN be around others. She’s such a sweetheart and she’s so full of life, it’s almost like she forgets she’s 12. I wish I could keep her but unfortunately I have no other options since time isn’t in my favor at the moment. She needs someone with PATIENCE.

Meet Axel! Axel is new here at WCHS, so we're still getting to know his personality, but one thing is already clear—this boy is a total smarty-pants! Axel loves learning new things and has already been showing off his skills. From mastering "sit" to learning "paw," he's eager to please and ready to keep expanding his trick repertoire. As a young dog, Axel has energy for days, so he'll thrive with an active family that can keep him busy with walks, playtime, and plenty of adventures. After all that fun, he's more than happy to settle in for some snuggles with his favorite people. If you're looking for a cuddly companion with the energy of a small star and the brains to match, Axel might just be your perfect match! Come meet Axel at WCHS today!  Kids. We are not sure how well Axel does with children. We always recommend going over proper animal handling with kids before introductions. Dogs: We are unsure how well Axel does with other dogs. We recommend caution & supervision during introductions for the best chance of success. Cats: We do not know how Axel does with feline friends. We advise patience and supervision during introductions for the best chance of success. Axel is neutered, microchipped, & fully up-to-date on vaccines & preventions ##2746875##

Meet Syd! This smiley fella is new here at WCHS, so we're still getting to know all of his quirky traits! So far, we've learned that Syd absolutely refuses to keep his tongue all the way in his mouth—and honestly, it just adds to his charm. Syd loves spending time outdoors and soaking up the fresh air. During his stay at WCHS, he has also seemed to enjoy the company of children and wants to play with other dogs. He's got a friendly personality and a happy-go-lucky attitude that makes everyone smile. Though he's grown up physically, Syd is still a puppy at heart and is always ready for fun, adventures, and making new friends. Story
Hello, I'm the owner of Ares. Sadly he has to be let go due to a busy work life.. Ares is a very friendly energetic dog. Great with kids and he especially loves females. I've owned him for about 5 years now and he was born in Washington State. I moved to the Midwest in 2021 and he came with me on the plane. He has a great demeanor and very playful with other animals and people. Feel free to reach out and hear more about his story. Thank you Charles.
