Story
Hello friends, my name is Shade! I`m a pretty shy gal, so please go slow with me. I would love to be besties one day, but I need to get to know you first. I`m really good at turning on my ASPCA eyes if you can`t tell. I`m in need of a home where i have time and space to come out of my shell. Come meet me and see if we would be a perfect fit for each other. If you`re interested in adopting Ms. Shade, check out the `Adopt` tab on our website and fill out our questionnaire. Her adoption fee is $125 and she is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations.

Story
Zoey is 6 years old. We got her off Craigslist a little over a year ago. The lady we got her from said she was a bait dog, and Zoey has scars on her face. Despite this, she’s very sweet and gets along with other dogs. Unfortunately, I have 3 small dogs that aren’t very nice to her. She doesn’t get all the attention she deserves, because we have to keep the little dogs separated from her. I would love to find her a home where she can be spoiled rotten, sleep on the furniture, and possibly have a sibling to play with. There’s no emergency to rehome her. I’m worried, because I don’t want her to be abused again. Thank you for reading, and please let me know if you have any questions.

Story
Hopper is a a 2-year 8-month old English Bulldog mix weighing 51 pounds. Hopper is not for the first time dog owner. Experience is required for potential adopters. Professional training is recommended. Hopper would do best with an active family to meet his energy level. Due to his high energy we recommend that children in the home not be fearful of dogs and have previous experience with large dogs, he can be mouthy when excited and over stimulated. Once you get past that, he is a happy, love bug and wants all the tummy rubs! He is a goof-ball who likes everyone he meets. He loves, loves attention! Enjoys toys of any kind. Knows commands sit & shake. Treat motivated. He is silly on walks and loves long walks, needs some leash manners as he does pull. He loves other dogs but can not live with cats. He loves car rides but can not go through any type of drive thru. His adoption fee is $200, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $20.75. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! Callie is a 4-year-4-month old Chocolate Labrador weighing 80 pounds. Callie can be cautious and anxious with strangers but with time and treats she'll warm up and let her curiosity take over! She will require multiple visits to be able to warm up to potential adopters. She is a very affectionate dog once she is comfortable, loves cuddles and hugs. She'll stick to her person like velcro! Knows commands sit, shake and sit pretty. Treat motivated. She is very well mannered (unless she's at the veterinarian office). Her favorite thing to do is go on walks and to roll in the grass. Housebroken. Good with children over 5, other dogs and cats. Callie has a history of skin infections, treated with prescription Cephalexin and special diet of Purina One Sensitive Skin & Coat. Her adoption fee is $150, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and microchipped. Hector is an 1-year 2-month old Boston Terrier/Miniature Pincher mix weighing 22 pounds. He came to the shelter as a stray so his history is unknown. There's a lot going on in this small package!
