Story
if interested, please contact KnJs Shepherd Haven at 513-417-6238 for the Rehoming Form, rehoming fee found here as well.Ducky is one of the sweetest dogs I have had the chance to love. She always wants to play, has fast zoomies, and loads of energy. She is mostly quiet but does the stereotypical husky talking to you when she wants your attention. She is the sister to my dog Goose who is also on here. They were littermates and she is half of her brothers size. Can be rehomed by herself if needed. Ducky however needs a special owner as she likes to chew on stuff when she gets nervous. She needs careful monitoring or loads of chewtoys! As long as you keep it all up she doesnt get into much trouble. She also needs fully potty trained as she goes on pads I cannot care for her due to suffering a spinal injury and becoming disabled

Story
if interested, please contact KnJs Shepherd Haven at 513-417-6238 for the Rehoming Form, rehoming fee found here as well.Goose is one of the sweetest dogs anyone could ask for. He will be your shadow throughout the day, loves cuddling, and loves playing. He loves chew bones and one of his favorite things are hugs. Goose has some separation anxiety that needs experienced people to work with him on but he is very loyal and loving. He is seen most of the time playing with his sister Ducky, also a german shepard malamute mix. He can be rehomed alone or with his sister. Goose has not been fully house trained, or well he goes on a pad no matter where it is, but thats as far as we got before I became disabled with a spine injury.

Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details

Story
Taquito is a very energetic chihuahua (around 2 years old), who loves to run outside and play with his toys. At first he can be very timid and hesitant, but once he gets to know you he is very sweet, loving, and insists on leaning in for attention! He loves to play with other dogs but can be a little rough at times due to how he was raised as a baby. He has grown up in a fenced in yard and therefore is not leash trained nor is he fully potty trained yet. (Occasionally marks his territory and doesn’t fully know how to make you aware he needs to go outside.) But when kept on a maintained bathroom schedule accidents inside are very unlikely. He is crate trained and all you have to do to make him go inside of the crate is to open its door. The only aggression he ever shows is when he meets a stranger by bearing his front teeth and growling a little as he cowers close by to the person he feels the safest with. If a stranger comes up to him and says hi he will not bite but continue

Story
Cain is a 3.5-year-old, strikingly handsome boy who has already endured more than his fair share. When he came into the care of the Athens County Humane Society, he was in rough shape with wounds along his back and the scars of having spent most of his life on a chain. Thanks to the dedication of volunteers and the staff at the Athens County Dog Shelter and his amazing foster home, Cain has started to heal and learn what kindness feels like.At his first vet visit, we also discovered that Cain is heartworm positive. While heartworm is a serious condition, Cain is receiving the treatment he needs. The process carries risks, but he has shown remarkable strength and resilience already. After everything he’s overcome, Cain deserves the safety and love of a forever home. He would do best as the only pet, though he does enjoy side-by-side walks with other dogs. More than anything, Cain needs a home where he can finally experience the life every dog deserves, safe, cared for, and deeply loved. If you are interested in meeting this wonderful boy, submit an application to athenshumane.org/adopt.
