Story
Meet Sasha! 🌟 At just 3 years old, Sasha has already overcome so much. She was picked up by Franklin County in April after being hit by a car on I-670, suffering pelvic and hip fractures. But this brave girl didn’t let that stop her! 💪🐾 She’s fully healed and runs, plays, and enjoys life to the fullest. Sasha’s a spayed German Shepherd with a big heart and a big personality. She’s smart, protective, sometimes silly — and absolutely devoted once she bonds with you. She loves a good game of tug, chasing Jolly balls, and keeping watch over her yard like a true Shepherd queen. 👑 Her foster mom says Sasha has come a long way with patience, structure, and training. She’s working with trainer and learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She needs someone experienced who understands the strong, loyal spirit of a GSD. ✅ Crate trained ✅ Great in the yard with a secure fence ✅ Sweet, affectionate, and hilarious once she trusts you 🚫 Best in a home without small kids or small animals Sasha’s perfect match? Someone who loves the Shepherd energy — confident, consistent, and committed to her continued growth. 🐕‍🦺💛 Trainer Brian has even offered to help with her transition and continued training for her adopter! If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a loyal companion who’ll give you her all, Sasha is waiting. 🏡💖

Story
We are looking to rehome our Pomsky. Female, 7 years old, not fixed, potty trained. She loves walks, playing fetch (will bring ball back), LOVES car rides. We’ve never crated her so not sure how she does with that. Gets along with children, cats, and other dogs. She’s a happy girl who will meet you at the door when you return home with her tail just a wagging and funny leaps of joy. She will let you know when someone pulls into the drive way. Rehoming due to life changes and to no fault of her.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Kelly! Kelly came to us as a stray. Kelly is a nervous girl and appears to be undersocialized. When Kelly arrived she was terrified of everything; leashes, people, other dogs, etc. Kelly is slowly gaining confidence and is friendly with staff and new people, but the shelter is a rather scary place to be for any dog. Kelly would benefit from a quiet home that will give her time to decompress and help her gain confidence. Kelly is still a puppy, so training and socialization are important to set her up for a lifetime of success. She has been fearful of other dogs, so she may do best with a calm and confident dog that will give her time to come around. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Kelly home. If you are interested in meeting Kelly, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Meet Apollo! This handsome Pittie guy recently came to us as a stray, and we are still getting to know him. He is an affectionate boy once he is comfortable with you, always wiggling his way up to us for some pets and yummy treats! He is an independent guy, but active and would do best in a home that will give him an outlet for his energy. He has done okay with other dogs. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Apollo home. If you are interested in meeting Apollo, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit.
