Hello everyone my name is Sadie and I'm your typical tree walking coon hound. I am up-to-date on my shots and spayed. I'm good with other dogs. They tell me I'm a very sweet girl. All I want is to be loved and find my furever home. My biggest claim to fame is I am an amazing hunter. Would you like to take me out on a field trip? Let's go! Story
Meet Sasha! 🌟 At just 3 years old, Sasha has already overcome so much. She was picked up by Franklin County in April after being hit by a car on I-670, suffering pelvic and hip fractures. But this brave girl didn’t let that stop her! 💪🐾 She’s fully healed and runs, plays, and enjoys life to the fullest. Sasha’s a spayed German Shepherd with a big heart and a big personality. She’s smart, protective, sometimes silly — and absolutely devoted once she bonds with you. She loves a good game of tug, chasing Jolly balls, and keeping watch over her yard like a true Shepherd queen. 👑 Her foster mom says Sasha has come a long way with patience, structure, and training. She’s working with trainer and learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She needs someone experienced who understands the strong, loyal spirit of a GSD. ✅ Crate trained ✅ Great in the yard with a secure fence ✅ Sweet, affectionate, and hilarious once she trusts you 🚫 Best in a home without small kids or small animals Sasha’s perfect match? Someone who loves the Shepherd energy — confident, consistent, and committed to her continued growth. 🐕‍🦺💛 Trainer Brian has even offered to help with her transition and continued training for her adopter! If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a loyal companion who’ll give you her all, Sasha is waiting. 🏡💖

Story
Meet Hobbs! Hobbs unfortunately has quite the tale to tell. Hobbs was recently adopted from another facility, rehomed to yet another family, and then dumped shortly thereafter. We are not sure why this absolute charmer has been bounced around from place to place; he is a pretty great guy! Hobbs is completely deaf, but he is very smart and already knows hand signals for "sit", "good boy", and "come"! He is very food motivated and takes to training quickly. He is outgoing, affectionate, and enjoys making friends. Hobbs has done well with other dogs in the shelter and has enjoyed playgroups with dogs of various sizes and personalities. He loves people, and has done well with children. Overall he seems to be an easy going pup with a wonderful personality despite what he has been through. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Hobbs home. If you are interested in meeting Hobbs, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Meet Sweet Pea! Sweet Pea was surrendered to us with her sister when their owner could no longer care for them. Sweet Pea is a sweet natured, sensitive soul hoping to find her perfect furever family. Sweet Pea has previously spent her life as an outside dog, so she is looking for a patient family that will help her learn the ropes of household life. Sweet Pea is shy with strangers and will take some time to warm up to her new family. But once she is comfortable with you, she is as sweet and affectionate as they come! She is still a young pup, so training and structure will go a long way to teach her potty training and general household manners. She is a nervous girl in the chaotic shelter environment, so she would benefit from positive reinforcement based training and socialization to help boost her confidence. Sweet Pea previously lived with other dogs, and they seem to boost her confidence. She does well with calm children once she has had time to warm up. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Sweet Pea home. If you are interested in meeting Sweet Pea, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit.
