Story
HI. HELLO. IT IS ME. WALTER. 📢 Age: 4 | Shepherd mix | Full-time Lover Boy, Part-time Snack Inspector I have been told I need to “introduce myself politely” but I feel like you should first know this: I WILL LOVE YOU IMMEDIATELY. There is no trial period. There is no “getting to know you.” You arrive → I lean → we are bonded for life. My specialties include: ✔️ Full-body hugs (surprise edition) ✔️ Dramatic leaning (I become one with you) ✔️ Eye contact that feels like a soul contract ✔️ Kisses. So many kisses. You’re welcome. I am also VERY SMART. I know sit, down, and shake, and I will perform them like I’m in a talent show if snacks are involved (they should always be involved). Speaking of snacks… I love them. Deeply. Spiritually. We can bond over this. I like other dogs (big, small, medium — I’m inclusive), I love car rides (windows down? ears flapping? yes please), and I stand very still for grooming because I am a gentleman. Now. Important life update: I am looking for a home with no young children. They make me nervous, and I don’t trust them. I’m working on being brave, but I need a home where I feel safe and understood. What I do need is: 💛 My person (or people) 💛 Snuggles. Constantly. 💛 A bed I will absolutely assume is ours 💛 Someone who doesn’t mind that I have no concept of personal space I will: • Follow you everywhere • Sit on you (yes, I am aware of my size, no, I will not be changing) • Love you with my whole entire being • Remind you daily that you are my favorite thing ever If you want a dog who is cool, distant, and independent… I am not that man. If you want a dog who loves like it’s his LIFE PURPOSE? Hi. It’s me. I’m your guy.

Story
🏈QUARTERBACK OF CUDDLES💙 MARINO IS READY TO JOIN YOUR TEAM! One look into those beautiful blue eyes, and it’s game over. Meet Marino, a 3 month old pitbull/husky mix named after Dan Marino, and this boy is pure star power. His striking blue eyes will pull you right in, but it’s his endlessly sweet, loving heart that will keep you forever. Paired with that rich red coat? Total heartthrob. Marino is the definition of happy go lucky. He’s gentle, kind, and so full of loving energy that people can’t help but obsess over him. Sweet as pie, and a big fan of hugs, he absolutely shines around kids. Making him the perfect family pup! He loves other dogs, and does great with cats. He is crate trained, and pretty much potty trained. He’s also doing great with leash learning. Marino will be vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped upon adoption, and is expected to be around 50 lbs. He’s been overlooked, but he’s the kind of dog who will change your whole world. Loyal, loving, and ready to be your best friend. Marino deserves his forever home just like any star player deserves their moment.

Story
Meet Arty. 💛 This adorable little pittie mix is about 5 years old and a perfectly portable ~40 pounds of sweetness, zoomies, and cuddles. Equal parts athlete and couch companion, Arty is just as happy chasing squirrels in the yard as she is curled up next to you soaking up affection. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a little patience and she’ll soon be leaning into you for pets like she’s known you forever. Once she trusts you, her sweet personality really shines. Arty has wonderful house manners, gets along great with other dogs, and brings a calm, easygoing energy to the home. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be the center of attention — she just wants to be part of the family. 🐾

Story
The Dread Pirate Trinket has officially retired her eyepatch and cutlass in search of something new… a family of her own. After months of being a strong independent puppy, Trinket is ready for the good life: soft beds, full toy boxes, snacks, and people to love her. Trinket is about 4 months old, possibly a pitbull/chihuahua mix, and packed full of personality. She’s potty trained, crate trained, and working hard on leash skills. She gets along great with dogs of all sizes — though she is regularly bossed around by a chihuahua and accepts her fate gracefully. She loves to play, patrol the perimeter, and can happily entertain herself when needed. Surprisingly trustworthy for a former pirate. And yes, Trinket is missing an eye, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. The one she has left works just fine, especially for spotting snacks and potential cuddle opportunities. Story
🐾 Meet Teeter! 🐾 Teeter is an adorable pit mix with enough personality to keep you smiling all day long! He jumps around like a little baby goat and his silly puppy antics are guaranteed to keep you entertained and laughing. His favorite things in life? Eating, playing, and snuggling — in that exact order. ✔ Crate trained ✔ Working on potty training ✔ Working on leash training ✔ Thunderstorms don’t bother him at all Teeter loves big dogs and would do best with children over 5 years old. He’ll also need a good-sized yard with a secure 6-foot fence where he can run, play, and show off his goofy personality. If you're looking for a playful pup with lots of love to give and plenty of laughs along the way, Teeter could be your perfect match! Available through Legacy of Hope Dog Rescue

Story
Before Ember joined rescue, she apparently spent some time attending the School of Hard Knocks and majoring in Street Hooliganery. 🎓😏 When she arrived, she had plenty of charm, plenty of energy, and… let’s just say “manners” weren’t exactly at the top of her resume. Because we wanted to set Ember up for success in her future forever home, she headed off to puppy boot camp to learn the finer points of civilized society. Things like listening, making good choices, and resisting the urge to treat every situation like an extreme sport. And guess what? She’s doing GREAT! 🎉 Her trainers are pleased with her progress, we’re thrilled with how far she’s come, and Ember is proving that underneath that mischievous streak is a smart, eager-to-learn girl who just needed a little guidance. The best part? She’s still the same fun, goofy, spirited dog we love. She’s just learning how to channel all that personality into being the best companion she can be. Ember has worked hard, and she’s getting closer every day to being ready for her forever family. We can’t wait for the lucky people who get to watch this former street hooligan continue to blossom.
