Story
Gussie is a three-year-old Orange/White 30 lb neutered Brittany Spaniel with a heart as warm as his coppery spots.  He is utd on his vaccines, neutered, healthy, heartworm neg and on prevention. This sweet boy is the full package: smart, eager to please, affectionate, and wonderfully people-focused. Gussie is the type of dog who always wants to be near his person. He’ll walk at your heels, shadow you from room to room, and happily settle close by for downtime. He’s quick to learn and loves working with his humans, making him a great match for someone who enjoys training or simply wants a loyal companion by their side. Gussie would thrive in a home that can offer him both mental and physical stimulation, plus plenty of love—and he’ll give it right back. Like any good Brittany, Gussie loves balls, fetch, and anything that lets him stretch his legs. After playtime, he relaxes beautifully and is content to hang out quietly with his family. He enjoys walks, sniffing adventures, and being part of whatever his people are doing. He’s friendly with new folks, loves attention, and has that classic Brittany sweetness that melts hearts instantly.  He gets along with dogs and would love a yard to hunt for the adventures that hide in your yard. If you are looking for a hunter, this is not your guy.  Gussie is gun shy and was abandoned and starved due to not being a hunter.  If you are looking for a love bug to be your sidekick, Gussie is the jewel you are looking for. If you’re looking for a bright, loving, loyal sidekick who will follow you anywhere, Gussie is your guy. The adoption fee for TX/Gussie, who lives in Plano, TX  is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making TX/Gussie part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Please let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  Also, please email the state coordinator of TX/Gussie-Melinde Waddle @ macgammy@gmail.com  Once approved by your state coordinator, I will setup talking to the foster of Gussie. Transportation can be arranged up  to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.    December 24, 2025, 4:19 pm

Story
Maple is a 2.5-year-old French Brittany who packs a whole lot of charm into her perfect 25-pound frame. Her foster family lovingly calls her “Meatball,” and honestly…it fits. She’s adorable, goofy, snuggly, and absolutely devoted to her people. Maple LOVES car rides, plush toys, and curling up next to you for belly rubs. She didn’t get much freedom or enrichment in her early life and likely spent most of her time in a kennel, so she came to us needing a refresher on potty training and some basic house habits. She’s made steady progress but still needs a patient family willing to keep her routine consistent. She can be a bit curious and may check out items that aren’t technically “hers,” so keeping tempting things out of reach and offering plenty of dog-safe toys will set her up for success. Maple does well in her kennel when her people are out of the house. She may give a little protest bark at first (she just has to make sure you know she has notes), but she settles down and rests quietly once she realizes she’s safe. Maple is not a dog that can live with or closely interact with other dogs. Through training, she has made progress in calmly seeing dogs at a distance with positive reinforcement, but pushing those interactions too quickly can cause anxiety for her. For her comfort and safety, she must be an only dog, and a fenced-in yard (ideally privacy fenced) would suit her best so she can explore and enjoy the outdoors stress-free. She’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented. Maple has mastered “sit", and is working on more tricks, but needs a little patience since she isn’t very food motivated. Maple is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Now she’s just waiting for a family who sees how special she is and can give her the structure, love, and dog-free home she deserves. Maple is currently in foster care in Wisconsin and has an adoption donation fee of $400.  If you are interested in adopting her and have been approved to adopt, let your state coordinator know you are interested in her.  If you haven’t yet done so, please go to: https://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application to fill out an application.  Your state coordinator will contact you and take you through the approval process.  If your application looks like a possible fit for her, your coordinator will contact Maple’s coordinator and continue the screening process. Maple’s state coordinator is Hallie Barbara. She can be reached at Minnesotabrittany@gmail.com for questions or inquires.   Thank you for considering this sweet girl.  December 15, 2025, 9:27 am

Story
Hey everyone, I`m Bosley....well that`s what these fine folks at the rescue call me. But I like it cause it reminds me of that show Charley`s Angels where Bosley is in charge and has 3 beautiful ladies by his side. So I`m digging it. You may ask me why I wound up in rescue at my age. Well I like adventures, I like to see the countryside. So much to smell, good and bad. So I kept adventuring and I guess my family got tired of coming to get me out of doggie jail. So now I`m in doggie jail at the rescue (they call it a kennel). But it`s ok because I got something called heart worms and they are treating me for that. I didn`t know my heart was broke because my heart is full of love for everybody. Well except cats.....those are my arch nemesis and I just don`t like them at all!!! But kids are cool and girl dogs are the best. Did I mention that I love the ladies? I got a girlfriend right now and her name is Virginia so if you want to check her out please do. Virginia and I got a lot in common....except she likes cats! What in the world is wrong with her? Oh well to each their own. So anyways, if you want to meet me you have to fill out an application to adopt me. But you have to have a fence to keep me from my adventuring ways. Okie dokie? Much Love ~ Bosley
