Jax is a Great Pyrenees/lab mix. He is 5 years old, and is a very happy go lucky guy when he trusts you. He does need some work with new people as he is rather fearful. And would be best in a home with no children or other pets. He is great on a leash and loves to run free. Along with his great Pyrenees instincts he’s an excellent guard dog. He is used to being in his own area, if that is a closed off mud room, or a garage. He does well indoors, he just sheds a lot and has a history of claiming your blankets as his own. He has spent his whole life with our corgi Ellie, he loves her and protects her with all he’s got. With the right person who is willing to put some training time in, Jax could be the perfect dog for you!

She has to sleep with someone. She doesn't like to be completely alone. She will tell you when she needs to go outside to potty. She also tells you when she is hungry, thirsty, or feeling lonely. He wants to be alpha and should probably not go to a home with other male dogs. He is very scared of a lot of things. He likes attention but needs to be the one that comes to you. He doesn't like leashes. But if you want to take him on a walk, then you have to let him lead you. We lead him to walk with a treat, and then he starts going on his own. We have to go where he wants to go without pulling on the leash. He is very skittish. But once he is used to you, he loves you. (Princess is his sister - Hopes Haven dog)

My foster mom helped me have my puppy and comforted me during labor and birth. My personality allowed her to crawl into the whelping box and we only knew each other for 12 hours. She says I'm very smart and goofy! I'm a puppy attitude in a 82# body. When I'm excited, I like to grab a "stuffie" and show them to you. I've NOT made one mistake in the house! I've been here 3 months, so I'm pretty proud of how housebroken I am. I'm very good at sitting when told, and stand quietly when getting my leash on. I definitely need a reminder about leash walking. I'm pretty strong and get "hearing selective" when something catches my attention. A fenced yard would be best. I like to try and scare other dogs, but would like a submissive male to play with. I'm probably a counter surfer and may get into the trash if given the opportunity. I stole a bag of treats off of a shelf. I'm an opportunist. I love lying by the slider door, in the sun and am good in the house. I'll talk to you if I need to go outside. All in all, I'm a very good girl. Please give me an opportunity to prove to you.
