Story
Tod is available through Project POOCH. If you are interested in adoption, learn more and submit an application at pooch.org/tod Oh—Hi. I’m Tod. I’m still learning how to be a dog, and I could use a little bit of help when I get stuck in new situations. But I promise to pay you back with sweet snuggles, playful bounces, and looks of adoration. Tod doesn’t have much experience being your average dog. A lot of what we encounter with our dogs out and about is new to him. He has learned about collars and leashes, and knows his harness means it’s time for walks. He has even started to figure out how to play with toys. For his people, Tod will melt like butter for affection. He is a bit leaner and likes to curl up with his friends. He finds comfort in the people he trusts and has been showing off what a silly boy he can be. While it might take a little bit of time for him to settle in with new people, he rewards that patience by sharing his true personality. Tod might never be a beer garden, patio seating, cafe dog, but he is a great companion who would love to hear all about the books you’ve been reading or join you on binging the newest season of that show you love. If you’re looking for a good companion, Tod might just need you to give him a chance to show you how awesome he can be. He just needs someone with a little patience and persistence to help him shine. Tod might benefit from continued training to build confidence and your relationship with him. Notable things: Unsure in novel situations. Build relationship and rapport with him Continued training for confidence-building Cuddly. Sweet, enjoying learning about the world

Story
Viola is available through Project POOCH. If you are interested in adoption, learn more and submit an application at pooch.org/viola Hey, hi, hello! I’m Viola! I’m so cute to help you get over the fact that I am an eager, exuberant puppy. I love to play, play, play, and am learning how to do so without chewing on my friends (four-legged and two)! My friends say I’m really smart and good at learning. Maybe you can help teach me new things? Viola has been learning a lot at POOCH and her handlers say that she is really good on leash, though we are still working on distractions. As with any puppy, we are continually working on polite greetings and appropriate play styles. She is very food-motivated and wants to participate in training, but does best with a handler who stays engaged with her. Viola is not a puppy you can bring home and expect to be a relaxed, calm dog. When going on adventures, Viola would love to be included! She is a brave girl who is gaining confidence in the world. If you’re looking for a buddy to join your adventures, she would be an excellent choice. Continue building her confidence, and you’ll have an amazing hiking partner as she has the energy to get up and go, but can settle for the drive back home. Like any puppy, Viola would benefit from continued training classes as she grows. Not only will that help her in her ‘teenage’ phase, but it can help a bond form! She could possibly blossom in dog sports or be a trick champion, but needs a partner to do so. If you’re looking for a couch potato, she is probably not the puppy you need. Youth insight: She has pretty eyes and her nose is so cute When she settles down she is a really good cuddler.

Story
Bubbles is AMAZING! He loves his people, is an expert snuggler, is a DREAM on the leash, AND can be groomed with clippers by novices without restraint?! Ok, ok, so he isn’t perfect. It would not be fair to the rest of the dogs if he were. His flaws: He loves his people. And hates being kennelled away from them. Also, he’s got a minor incontinence issue, where he dribbles a bit of urine sometimes. He is otherwise house-trained and doesn’t mind wearing his belly bands. In December 2025, Bubbles suffered a back injury and developed some issues related to it, but has been healing well at POOCH. We cannot guarantee that this urine dribbling will be a symptom that goes away, so we figured it would be best to assume it will be a chronic concern. As he is now past injury restrictions and still has a few moments of dribbling, we believe this is something he will have for the length of his life. We also recommend that care be taken to prevent future injury (use stairs for the couch, avoid large jumps, and support with lifting when needed). His dribbling urine is more frequent after he has been holding his bladder. Beyond that, he is an excellent little guy. He rides well in the car and loves to be your co-pilot. We have taken him with us on a few errands, and he is happy to ride shotgun and enjoy the breeze. He sits politely while we groom him, and we are most definitely novices. He prefers clippers to scissors (what man doesn’t have his preferences), but allows everywhere to be clipped, including his head, ears, and muzzle. He has been around many other dogs and can play or just hang out politely. He is a vocal player, both with other dogs and when he is entertaining himself.

Story
This is Bella. She’s a 5 year old yellow lab. She has lots of energy to get out with some of her absolute favorite things like playing ball or swimming. After she gets tuckered out, she loves to lay next to you for a nap. She knows how to sit and to shake and is very food driven. However, she does have a sensitive stomach to people food. She’s very smart! I would love to see her new home have the space for her to run and get energy out and the time to give her lots of love that she deserves.

Story
This is my sweet sweet pretty girl Lalu, my heart aches as I write this because I truly love her. She is a funny dog with lots of personality, she loves walks, cuddles, and whining. Just like any other German Shepard she is a very active dog and is very loyal, she’ll cry whenever I leave her side. So I would love for her to go to someone active and caring. She is such a great dog, but she deserves a life better than the one that I am giving her. And I will no longer be able to care for her, as I am soon moving to another state. I pray that a kind soul can adopt her before i move.

Story
Hello, my name is Paisley! I'm an athletic and curious young lady with a playful side. Though I'm not sure about other dogs just yet, I'm sure we can become best friends in no time. I'm kennel trained, and I'd prefer to be in a home with older kids since I sometimes get so excited that I jump up on people - I just can't help it! I also love to run around and explore, so I'll need a backyard or at least a long walking route. I can be a bit of a puller on walks, so I'd benefit from some training and a gentle lead. I'm always up for a game of fetch or a good chew session - I just can't choose toys that are not super strong! If you think you can keep up with my active lifestyle, we might be a perfect match. Come meet me today and see for yourself
