Story
Meet Anna Anna is a 3 year old, pitbull mix who had a rough start to life being used over and over again for breeding purposes which has caused her to be a nervous lady in certain situations. She is in search of a forever home that can give her some stability. Anna would love nothing more than to live in the safety and comforts of a home with a family that will give her the love and attention she's always deserved. She will need an owner that is patient and understanding of her past; a low-traffic, adult only home where she could be the only pet would be ideal for her. She loves going for walks, playing with toys (she's a pro at fetch!) and getting belly rubs from staff. Anna is spayed, microchipped & up to date on vaccines. If you have a nice relaxing couch with an empty seat waiting to be filled- Go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form! (It can be found under the adoptable dogs section).

Story
Hey, my name is Wallace ! I'm a sweet boy looking for my furever home. Don't let my big size fool you, I am a big love bug looking for some affection. I love to be the center of attention and love people in general. I would need an adult only home. I am young and full of life so I would hope my potential adopters are up for an active lifestyle! If you think your home has a spot for a big pup with a big heart please come down to the shelter and meet me! Wallace is a one year old pit who was brought to ARC when his previous owners could no longer care for him. Any potential canine siblings would require a meet and greet at our shelter. (a home without cats, would be best due to his size and energy). Wallace is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If interested in meeting Wallace, Fill out a pre-approval on our website: www.nokillarc.org and e-mail Tori at Tori@nokillarc.org

Story
This happy-go-lucky gal is ready to find her forever home! Cleo is an estimated 2 year old, border collie/shepherd mix who first came to us in the winter of 22-23' as a stray. She was so unsocialized and scared of humans, but spent 6 months with us where we got to see her goofy, playful personality blossom before she was finally adopted. Unfortunately after another 6 months in a home it became evident that though Cleo can make canine friends through proper meet and greets, she just isn't comfortable sharing her space with them so she was returned to the shelter. As sad as we are to have her back, we are so proud to see how much more confidence she has gained and how she's grown.. Cleo is a ball of energy, always ready to run! She enjoys zooming around the yard and playing with her toys. Cleo's previous home had nothing but wonderful things to say about her - they praised her intelligence and obedience, said that she loves her crate, and is fully housebroken. She still takes a moment to warm up to new people, but once she does she is the sweetest girl. We know she's going to make a PERFECT companion for the right person who has patience with her as she transitions into a new home environment, is active, and has the time to dedicate to training her. She can't be placed in a home with cats, and would do best in an adult only home as the only pet.Cleo is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. If you are interested in adding Cleo to your family- please fill out a pre-approval form on our website: www.nokillarc.org! (found under our ‘adoptable dog' section).

Story
Bubba, an 8 year old- border collie, is a clever canine with an independent streak, who lives life on his own terms. His late owner loved him dearly but gave him too much leeway his whole life, allowing Bubba to rule the roost. As a result of this, when given instructions or commands, Bubba can be become agitated and resistant due to his distaste for being told what to do at times. Although stubborn at times, he truly is a good boy. His enthusiasm for walks is contagious! He loves it so much, he can't contain his excitement when he sees the leash. He takes delight in playing with his toys and being showered with love by humans. Despite making friends with other dogs at the shelter, Bubba should be the only dog in his forever home (he can't be placed in a home with cats).Join us on our mission to find an amazing family that will embrace Bubba just as he is. Let's spread some joy and change his world! Bubba is neutered, microchipped & up to date on all vaccinations. If interested in adopting Bubba, please go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form. (It can be located under the ‘adoptable dogs' section).

Story
Meet Otto Otto is an estimated, 2 year old lab/pit mix who has been with us for nearly 6 months by no fault of his own. Otto is so friendly, loving, and does really well with children keeping in mind his size and energy. Sometimes we think he needs to remember to turn his brain on... but once he's focused, he's super smart (and treat motivated). He also LOVES making friends with the other dogs in our separated play yards, but he would likely need to learn proper manners with a canine sibling (a meet and greet is required at our shelter). Otto gave us a big health scare through the winter, but he's finally getting back up to his proper weight of 90+ pounds and is ready to find his perfect home to continue thriving! ??Otto was suffering from loose stools and diarrhea, first thought to be brought on by the stress of the shelter environment. After his weight began RAPIDLY dropping we started trying different food options to no relief- so we ran a stool sample to our vet (normal results), and he received an abdominal ultrasound that showed enlarged lymph nodes. He was started on a round of steroids while our vet sent a gastrointestinal blood panel out. His GI results came back normal, he started gaining his weight back, and has since finished his medication! He just had his follow-up appointment, and his abdominal ultrasound looks completely normal now. Our vet believes he was likely suffering from a virus that targeted the digestive system, and he is recovering nicely! ??Otto is neutered, microchipped, & up to date on vaccinations. If you're interested in adding this goofy boy to your family, please go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form (located under the ‘adoptable dogs' section). ??
