Meet Duchess!Duchess came to us through our Animal Law Enforcement team after being found severely emaciated. With time, care, and lots of love, she’s made an incredible recovery and now she’s ready for her next chapter. She can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she is the sweetest girl. When you`re in with Duchess, you`re in for life. She adores her people and has a soft spot for tennis balls - they’re her absolute favorite!Duchess is looking for a calm, low-traffic home where she can be the only pet. She’s open to meeting dog-savvy teens. If you`re interested in meeting Duchess, she is located at the Pennsylvania SPCA Danville Center on Bloom Rd. We are open daily from 12:00-6:00pm and no appointment is needed. Please bring everyone who lives in your home and any current dogs with proof of up to date vaccinations. Story
Meet Maverick!Maverick’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but this resilient boy is ready to start his next chapter. He came to us as a stray, emaciated and with a severe leg injury. Despite every effort to save it, the leg couldn’t be healed, and it was amputated. But don’t worry, Maverick doesn’t let that slow him down one bit! This handsome tripod takes on life with heart and courage.Maverick can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’s incredibly affectionate and loyal to his people. He’d do best with a family who understands that trust takes time and is willing to give him the love and patience he deserves. He’s open to meeting respectful, dog-savvy kids and could do well with another friendly dog companion. We think he may even do well with cats, with proper, slow introductions in the home.If you`re interested in meeting Maverick, he is located at the Pennsylvania SPCA Danville Center on Bloom Rd. We are open daily from 12:00 - 6:00pm and no appointment is needed. Please bring everyone who lives in your home and any current dogs with proof of up to date vaccinations.
