Story
Max is a 6 year old purebred Saint Bernard that weighs 129 lbs! He is a big boy! He was neutered by our rescue. Current on vaccines now. He and his 3 year old son came from an abusive situation unfortunately and our rescue was asked to take both dogs. The Owner abandoned them in an empty home for 6 months. Fortunately a neighbor fed them and asked us to help them. We had our veterinarian neuter and given core vaccines. Unfortunately Max tested positive for Lyme and Anaplasmosis, both tick borne diseases. We already finished his treatment and we will be vaccinating him for Lyme disease so he won't get it again! He did not do well with cats when we cat tested him. He is very friendly once he feels secure again. He is supposedly house trained. He is food aggressive so should be crated when people are eating and dinner served in his crate. We would suggest only adults because of his food issue. But he has only growled sometimes over food, has never bit anyone. We would love someone to give him a loving home! If you are in interested in meeting or adopting Max please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Our other adoptable pets our posted on our website as well as the very brief (5 minutes) application form. https://rescuepetsservingvets.org. ##2210352##

Story
Sheba is a spayed 5 year old purebred Pit Bull likely. She weighs 65 lbs. Microchipped. Came from a kill shelter in Ga. Due to lack of space at the Ga shelter, she was on the kill list and our rescue was asked to take her. We agreed. When she was vetted and spayed they found she was Heartworm positive. But she is started on heartworm treatment and will be curable. We are doing all treatments even if she is adopted! We will be financially responsible for that as well! When we cat tested her she was a 'maybe' with doing well with the cat. But we would definitely suggest slow and proper introductions with a cat in a home. She really deserves a better life than the one she had in Ga. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Sheba please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Story
Oreo is a 1.5 year old neutered and lab/terrier mix likely. 85 lbs. Current on vaccines. Microchipped. He was adopted from us as a 4 month old puppy originally. Owner just returned this sweet boy. He used to be dog friendly, but now he is scared of other dogs and people until he gets to know you. Now he has wormed up to our helpers and is giving them kisses and laying on their laps! He wants loving and to play! He did well with other dogs, cats and kids in the past. The rescue is a loud place, so we are sure he would warm up quicker in a home even more. We recently tested him and he is negative for heartworm and Lyme and other tick borne diseases. If interested in meeting him or adopting Oreo please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also provide companion animals or emotional support dogs to our military veterans at no charge.
