Story
Annie was a single mom of...eight!!! Her kids have all moved away and now she is looking for a real and lasting relationship. She is a super snuggly character who is one of the most loving dogs we have ever met!! Annie hasn't forgotten her hungry start and still loves to steal food left unattended haha. Attributes: -SWEETEST girl! -loves children -does well with dogs after proper introduction -playful with other dogs -housebroken & crate-trained -used to invisible fence -Ridgeback/Shepherd/possibly terrier -calm personality around the house! Considerations: - probably no toy dogs - may not mesh well with an Alpha female canine

Daisy Jane is… A world class snuggler Smart & food motivated Affectionate & playful Medium energy Approx 2-3 years old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Amstaff and ?? and loves a good game of FETCH! We rescued this cutie from a rural animal control here in middle TN when her time ran out. She does well in her room when her foster dad is at work and will couch cuddle all weekend if you let her! She loves sleeping in bed at night. She would do well with a fenced yard but currently does not have one. She loves to play with other dogs at the dog park but could have a doggie friend or not in the home- in some ways she really likes having her human to herself at home! She has had fun playing with young nephews of her foster. She also is amazing is the car and has traveled to several states on trips with her foster dad!

Story
Saturn is truly the Queen of Hearts at our shelter, and we are totally devoted to her. One of our volunteers says: "Saturn loves all of her friends so deeply that I feel humbled by the capacity of her heart." **We are so grateful to our friends at the Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation who are sponsoring FREE training for six weeks through GoodPup for Saturn and her new family!** Saturn is five years old and weighs 52 pounds. Her black and white coat is beautifully marked. She has a warmth and equanimity that make her a sought after companion. Saturn is an absolute joy to be around and we all savor her company. Saturn has such a zest for life! She will roll around on her back and kick up her legs, truly living in the moment with so much joy. She also loves belly rubs. Saturn trots companionably at your side on daily walks and enjoys exploring the shelter grounds. She also likes to be in the fenced yard and her favorite thing is playing fetch. She will leap high into the air to catch a toy you toss her way and is so agile, athletic and graceful! Saturn likes to go to the toy box and select the ones she wants to play with! Saturn has also enjoyed outings with some of our volunteers and is a great representative for our shelter! She has also had several sleepovers and been a cherished guest. Saturn is a bright dog who has already mastered the sit, give paw, come and stay commands, and is working on down. The daughter of one of our volunteers says Saturn makes her feel calm inside. She has done so well with the children of several of our volunteers. Saturn is such a great dog! She has a serenity of spirit that makes her a joy to be around. Saturn is the perfect dog to be at your side during the day and curl up at your feet at night! Saturn spent some out of the shelter time in the home with one of our dedicated volunteers and here is what Betty Ann says about her: "She is a lover! Saturn is super affectionate and gives lots of hugs and kisses. She is easy on the leash and loves long walks on the trail. Balls are her favorite toy. She'll pounce on them and bring them back to you. She's not a picky eater and loves all kinds of treats - and will sit for them. Saturn is super soft and barely sheds. She thinks she's a lap dog. Saturn would benefit from a fenced in yard where she can run. Its been a pleasure to have her in our home. She has brought us so much joy! Saturn will be a loyal friend to whomever chooses her and gives her the life she deserves." Two of our devoted volunteers have frequently hosted Saturn at their house when the shelter is closed and Sara reports: "Saturn is a bouncy dog, playful and joyful and happy in your company. She also loves playing quietly at your feet enjoying her chewy toys. She is always up for a walk or playtime in the yard, but is easy and content when inside with her people. She loves people she knows and loves affection. She is eager to learn how to be a good dog and she needs some guidance with that because she has lived at Animal Control half of her young life. She wants a person who will be kind and patient but firm with her while she learns. She needs to be an only pet in the a calm house. Saturn is wonderful to have around the house. She is sweet and good natured and very good company. Saturn is loved by everyone at Animal Control and She will be the best dog ever if you put in the time and love she deserves." She may only be adopted by someone experienced with a dog who is protective of her people around strangers. She must be put in another room securely when strangers enter the house and room. And Saturn must be properly introduced or remain in another room. She needs a patient, experienced owner who can work with her, provide structure, and help her feel secure. A household without lots of activity would be the best environment for Saturn. It would be helpful if someone will be home with her most of the time. E-mail ccacangels@yahoo.com for more information! Please come visit! We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Story
John Grogan said of dogs: “It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives", and the family who adopts Clyde will have such a fun and devoted companion! Bouncy, happy-go-lucky Clyde is an absolute joy to be around! He is truly sunshine on a cloudy day - or any day! He is 18 months old and weighs 30 pounds. If you are looking for a medium sized dog, Clyde could be the one for you! Clyde has one of those wonderfully expressive doggy faces that looks like he is smiling at you and is such a delightful presence! His distinctive ears remind us of wise little Yoda in Star Wars. He is a very enthusiastic companion on daily walks and loves to explore our beautiful shelter grounds. Clyde is so grateful to have you by his side. He will go for as long as you want and will be a great hiking or running buddy, too! Clyde has so much fun in the fenced yard, where he loves to run and play. Clyde zooms around in total joy and is truly poetry in motion. He enjoys the toys, too. Clyde is very friendly and affectionate and enjoys quality cuddle time. He will nudge you with his nose so you will keep on petting him! Clyde will even crawl on your lap! We love spending time with him! One of his favorite things to do is being on the swing in the shelter's front yard! Clyde has done great with the children of some of our volunteers. He also was excited to see children at a play ground and a splash pool on one of his outings, and wanted to join in the fun! Clyde is a bright dog who wants to please and should do well with training. Dr. Seuss once observed: "Oh, the places you'll go!" Our Clyde is quite the adventurer who truly does like to go places! He has visited several area parks and had a great time! He loved riding in the car, exploring the various trails and being in the water. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility. Come and meet our sunshine pup and you will see why we love Clyde so much! E-mail ccacangels@yahoo.com for more information! Please come visit! We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We are so grateful to Hannah Walker of Journey Studios for her beautiful photos!

Story
John Grogan observed that “A person can learn a lot from a dog, including friendship and selflessness and, above all else, unwavering loyalty.” This makes us think of our wonderful Gibby! Gibby is such a fun dog! He is one year old and weighs 50 pounds, so if you are looking for a medium sized companion, Gibby could be the one. His shiny black coat has snow white markings, his merry brown eyes reflect his zest for life, and his unique ears give him a truly distinguished look. Gibby truly has such presence! He may appear serious, but Gibby is a free spirit with a delightful personality! He is so much fun to be around! Gibby is a loyal walking companion and enjoys being close by your side to explore the beautiful trails on our shelter grounds. He is so curious and interested in his surroundings. He also loves to bring one of his stuffed toys along on walks! Gibby looks forward to his outings in the fenced yard, where he bounds about in total joy and loves to play. He is very agile and would probably excel in an agility class. He enjoys the toys, too. Gibby has been in play groups with several of his fellow shelter companions and is an absolute star! If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility. Gibby enjoys being around people and is always ready for a pet and a cuddle. He is so affectionate and good natured. He is a bright dog who wants to please and should master any commands you wish to teach him. Gibby is a favorite companion who lives in the moment and truly brightens our days! We love spending time with this truly special dog! Gibby's enthusiasm for each and every day inspires all of us! One of our volunteers observes: "Gibby is my very favorite dog at the shelter! I love how he is so happy to see you when you reach his kennel, and how his tail wags nonstop while he holds his toy as he waits for you to leash him up for a walk. He is such wonderful company and such an awesome cuddle buddy!" Another volunteer reports: "Gibby is such a bright spirit. He’s smart, fun, and well mannered. My gentleman in a tuxedo. I always see Gibby smile patiently for a walk. Love this boy! TONS." Gibby would do best in a home with older children. Life with Gibby will be such a fun experience. Are you ready to begin the journey? E-mail ccacangels@yahoo.com for more information! Please come visit!
