Story
One of the Lucky Ones! In many cities, perfectly wonderful pets are often found wandering or surrendered through no fault of their own. My heart strings get pulled tight every time I see a date on a shelter list implying a "furbaby" might be euthanized simply due to overpopulation. Those are the nights I can’t sleep—knowing I have the space and the heart to help. I’ve always had a massive sweet spot for the "bully" breeds—Bulldogs, Frenchies, Olde English, and Pits—so they often find their temporary sanctuary with me. There is nothing more rewarding than taking a dog in, getting them vet-checked, vaccinated, and neutered, and then having the absolute blessing of hand-picking their perfect forever family. Bubby is one of those lucky success stories! Meet Bubby, a 10-month-old bundle of joy who is ready to find his forever teammates! Bubby is the perfect mix of puppy energy and "best friend" loyalty. If you’re looking for a dog who greets every day with a wagging tail and a goofy grin, he’s your guy. Why You’ll Love Bubby: Life of the Party: Bubby is incredibly adventurous and outgoing. He loves meeting new people and is always the first one ready for a hike, a walk in the park, or a backyard game of fetch. A "Straight A" Student: He is extremely food-motivated, which makes training a breeze! He’s already showing off how clever and curious he is—he’ll do just about anything for a tasty treat. The Ultimate Companion: While he’s playful and athletic, Bubby also has a wonderful affectionate side. After a day of exploring, he’s more than happy to lean in for some head scratches and show you his snuggly side. Social Butterfly: He’s good with other dogs and kids, making him a fantastic fit for an active family looking to add a little more love (and a lot more fun) to their home. Health & Wellness: Bubby is all set and ready to move in! He comes to you: Neutered Microchipped Up to date (UTD) on all vaccinations If interested we may be able to help with transportation within reason just let us know ahead of time if needed so we can reach out to volunteers and check availability Why You’ll Love Bubby: Life of the Party: Bubby is incredibly outgoing and adventurous. Leo is 4 years old. He needs to be with someone who can devote more time and energy than I am able to provide as my circumstances have changed. He enjoys being with his person. He barks at strangers but has never bitten anyone. He is very playful and energetic. Leo does not shed at all and has no health issues. He’s used to being with only me so he barks at any visitors or strangers when I’m around.

Story
Pippa is a min pin/ rat terrier that is about 4 years old. She is super sweet with people and kids! She doesn’t get along with other dogs at first cause she is scared. She only weighs 8 pounds. She needs to be introduced slowly. I do have a cat that she has been fine with but lately been aggressive with him. It’s all over jealousy. I rescued my cat 9 years ago and want him to be able to go back to getting a lot of attention. I hope to find someone that would give her lots of love!!

"The love of a dog is a pure thing. He gives you a trust which is total." This makes us think of Sammy. He is such a sweetheart and has quickly become a shelter favorite. A line in a song says: "Once in your life you find him, someone that turns your heart around" and this is a perfect description of Sammy! He is two years old and weighs 76 pounds. Why we love him: Sammy is a delight to be around! He has such a congenial demeanor and is the best company! Sammy is such an inspiration to our dedicated staff and volunteers! Despite having some deformities on both front legs, he enjoys walks and outings in the fenced yard. Sammy has so much fun running and especially enjoys the toys. He will go to the toy box and pick out the ones he wants to play with. Sammy is so brave and embraces every day to the fullest! There's a lesson there for all of us. This dear dog has a heart full of love he is always ready to share. Sammy adores being petted and loved on and will even crawl onto your lap. He gives great hugs, too. Sammy is the very best cuddle buddy! He is truly one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet! Sammy spent time with a foster who reports:"Sammy is the sweetest boy! He's a gentle giant to say the least. Sammy been so good around everyone he’s came in contact with - cats, other dogs, humans, you name it - he doesn’t meet a stranger. This boy deserves so much love!" He has enjoyed meeting some of his fellow shelter companions in play groups, If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility. Sammy is a bright dog who should master any commands you want him to learn. He will be such a great companion, and the love and devotion are guaranteed! Sammy is the perfect dog to be by your side during the day and to curl up at your feet at night! He is so very special and truly deserves a family of his very own!
