Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bella is a very sweet and affectionate girl, has the biggest “AWOOO” you will ever hear, and can play fetch all day if you’ll let her. Once she’s inside with her humans, she’s fast to chill and cuddle. Bella will do best as an only dog. Although, she does seem to do okay with male dogs. This has been a very difficult decision for us to make but it’s in the best interest of her and our other female dog.

Story
Hi my name is Zeus. I am quite the big boy weighing in at 79lbs. In my time here I have been quite the love bug. I love to be around people. I get very stressed when left alone. I would do best as the only animal in the home. Due to my size I don't realize how big I am sometimes so a home without small children would be best but I do great with kids. I was in a home previously where the neighborhood was pretty busy and full of other dogs, and this was very stressful, so I would prefer a quieter home. Story
Hello, my name is Jessie! I came to SWCHS with my two sisters with some bad skin issues that we needed help with! We were treated for mange and flea allergies, though we don't know for sure what caused our issues. We are now on the mend and our hair is growing back nicely thanks to the great medical team here! I'm a big girl who is very treat motivated, and I just love being around people! I'm pretty mellow (maybe because I'm used to living with old lady dogs!) and am always looking for some love. I did well with the dogs I lived with in my past home, however I'd like to meet any dogs in your home ahead of time before going home with you. I may not be the prettiest girl out there, but I'll make up for it in love and loyalty if you let me in to your life! Give me a chance by filling out an application online!

Story
Hello my name is Spotem (Spot-em)! I'm a 1.5 year old German Shepherd mix who was surrendered to SWCHS due to no fault of my own. I can be a bit wary of strangers but once I'm comfortable I'm a very friendly boy who loves to play. I have lived with children and another dog before so I would like to have a meet and greet with any new dog friends to make sure we're compatible, however no cats or small dogs please. I would do best in a quieter home without a lot strangers coming and going as I can be a bit protective of the home. People with shepherd experience and are familiar with their behavior would be preferable. If interested please fill out an application here https://www.swchs.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hi my name is Harold! I'm a 2 year old Catahoula mix who was transferred to SWCHS from another shelter due to spacing needs. I'm just a little guy - about 30 lbs - but I am very athletic and love to play. I am a bit uneasy meeting new people but I warm up after a little bit and once I'm comfortable I am such a wiggly friendly boy. I have been successful in foster with other dogs and cats, however because it takes me time to get comfortable with strangers I'd do best in a home without too many people coming in and out consistently and kids 15 or older as I can get very reactive to strangers. I can jump quite high so I'd do best in a yard with a tall fence or being supervised outside but I'm a great dog who'd love to find his new family - I just need some stability and someone understanding! If interested please fill out an application on the SWCHS website!

Story
Hi I'm Ace! I'm a 2 year old German Shepherd mix who was surrendered to SWCHS due to no fault of my own. I am a very friendly, energetic boy who loves toys. I do have some skin allergies that are currently being treated so I would need ongoing treatment for those but seem healthy otherwise! I would need to be in a single animal home, but I am fantastic with people. I am a big energetic boy so I would probably do best in a home with older children, but would be a great addition to a new home!
