Story
Yoda was recently transferred to DHS with his brother Buck. While they enjoy each other’s company, they are not bonded and can be adopted separately.Yoda is a 5-year-old shepherd/husky mix (breed is a best guess) with energy to spare! He would excel as a hiking, running, or camping companion. True to husky form, Yoda is a talker and loves to express himself. He’ll need plenty of active outlets and adventures to keep him both mentally and physically happy. While it’s unknown if Yoda is house- or crate-trained, he keeps his shelter kennel clean. He continues to enjoy playtime with Buck, but his behavior with other dogs is still unknown. With his happy-go-lucky personality and proper introductions, we expect he could do well with the right canine companions.Yoda would benefit from some help with basic manners and leash training, but with his affectionate and playful nature, he’s ready for a loving, active home that can match his energy and enthusiasm. 🐾💙"I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petacademy.org. Story
. Leo is a recent surrender who came to DHS due to his owner’s family health. Born in August 2025, he’s at the perfect age to bond with his new family. This affectionate puppy is house- and crate-trained, loves playing fetch, and is sure to fit into just about any household—especially with plenty of exercise and attention. While Leo is guessed to be a Heeler/Collie mix, his exact breed is unknown. He hasn’t spent much time with other dogs since leaving his littermates, but we don’t anticipate any issues. He also hasn’t been around cats.Leo has only been here a short time, yet he’s already warmed the hearts of staff and volunteers alike! He did wonderfully on a recent outing—napping on the couch, taking a fun walk, and earning lots of treats for his stellar behavior. This sweet, playful boy is ready to find his forever family! 🐾💛"I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petacademy.org. Story
Buck is a recent shelter transfer and a very handsome five-year-old boy. He arrived with his brother, Yoda, but they are not bonded and can be adopted separately. Buck is a big guy at 117 pounds and is looking for a home that can keep him active and support him with a healthy diet to help him reach his ideal weight.Buck enjoys playing with his brother, though his behavior around other dogs is currently unknown. He has never met a cat, so a slow and thoughtful meet-and-greet would be essential to ensure everyone’s safety. At the shelter, Buck keeps his kennel nice and clean—and he absolutely goes bonkers for his tennis ball! 🎾"I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petacademy.org. Story
With her unknown breed and absolutely adorable face, Harriet is a delightful and affectionate companion. She weighs around 24 pounds and is estimated to have been born in August 2024, making her a young dog ready for a fresh start.Harriet has had a bit of a rocky beginning, with a few different homes and names, but she’s eager to settle down and bond with someone who can offer her the time, patience, and love she deserves. She is crate-trained and does well with potty training when kept on a consistent schedule. While her leash manners could use some polishing, she’s young, eager to learn, and ready to soak up training.Harriet loves being outdoors and would thrive in a home with access to a secure, fenced yard where she can safely explore and play.Don’t let Harriet’s past define her—she’s an incredible dog with so much love to give and is simply waiting for her second chance. Could you be the one to give Harriet the forever home she deserves? 🐾💛I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
