Story
Romeo is a handsome 1-year-old boy who seems to be a mixture of Rottweiler and possibly Doberman.Romeo spent a few weeks in a foster home, and what we learned was! He LOVES other dogs, he is silly, goofy, and will play all day long. He does like to play rough, so a dog his size or larger would be best for safety. Romeo is a smart boy; he knows a few commands but is so eager to learn more! He is house-trained and does use bells at the door. He loves going for walks, but off-leash zoomies are his favorite! He does super well with people, once he has been able to give a good sniff. If startled, he will jump and back up, but he is quick to recover and enjoys being around people. Story
Axe is a fun little guy with loads of personality! He was the first to have an ear stand up and has made it clear that baths are not his idea of fun—he much prefers running around and getting messy instead. What puppy doesn’t?He loves piling on top of his siblings to stay warm in the puppy pen and is never late for mealtime. In fact, he races on his little legs to be first to the food dish, which is always comical to watch!A DNA test showed that Axe is a mix of Siberian Husky, German Shepherd, and Doberman—a combination sure to keep you active and always ready for your next adventure. He was born 11-21-25."I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petacademy.org. Story
Step aside, folks, Iggy is here to steal the show! This playful pup is a staff favorite, and it's easy to see why. Iggy is a friendly, gentle soul who loves nothing more than to frolic and explore. With a personality as unique as her name, she's sure to keep you on your toes and bring a smile to your face. Iggy does not get along well with other animals, including farm animals/wildlife. Iggy loves her walks, keeps her kennel clean, and enjoys her toys and her pool!Iggy cannot live with small dogs, cats, or other small furry pets. Iggy takes her time getting to know new people; slow greetings are what work best for her. Apartment life is not for her; she needs more room to stretch her legs and watch over her domain! Once you are Iggy's buddy, she is funny, affectionate, silly, and playful!! If you're looking for a fun-loving companion to join your adventures, Iggy is the dog for you. Come on down and meet this one-of-a-kind girl today!"I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Amaretto, the firstborn, absolutely loves people! He was the first to climb out of the whelping pool and the first to decide he was ready for momma’s dry food. He’s a total cuddle bug who adores squeaky toys and playtime. Story
Harriet has had a few homes and a few different names, but this sweet girl is ready for a soft place to land with someone who can give her time and patience to bond. She is crate-trained and does well with potty training as long as she has a consistent schedule. Her leash manners could use a little work, but she is young and eager to learn.Harriet loves spending time outdoors and tends to be more anxious inside. Her ideal home would provide constant outdoor access in a secure, fenced yard where she can feel comfortable and happy.Estimated to be born in August 2024, Harriet came to DHS as a stray after hanging around a house with three young puppies. She is very sweet, loves attention, and is a delightful companion. Her breed is unknown, but she’s absolutely adorable and weighs around 24 lbs.“I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
