Story
We adopted Harka from a shelter 5 years ago. She is a loving dog who loves to go for walks and be outside. She is great with kids. She is okay with some dogs, not sure about cats. She is a senior and has been needing to pee a lot more often and we just can't keep up with taking her out so much when we have a small child and baby on the way. We are away at work most of the day. She is well behaved otherwise.

Story
Atlas - Energetic, snuggly 8 month old looking for his soulmate   In his short life Atlas has been bounced around a lot. Recently, he has been learning a lot including confidence and trust in his humans. It took Atlas about a month to decompress at his current foster home so he will require patience, trust, and a lot of positive reinforcement. He has so much love to give we know it’ll be worth it! He's so eager to please his humans in the house and will need to be supervised, corrected (when necessary), and given positive reinforcement for him to be a successful dog. He response well to a confident human so an experienced owner is recommended for Atlas. Atlas will require a slow introduction to other dogs as he doesn't like them in his face right when they meet (As is common in many dogs). After 10-15 minutes, when he’s comfortable, he will initiate play.  Atlas does enjoy wrestling with his 3 foster fur siblings, however, it will take him a while to adjust to not only a new doggie friend, but also a new routine and new home environment.  He loves to chase, wrestle, and howl when he's ready to play. Atlas can get a little jealous when the other dogs try to snuggle with his foster mom, but he takes corrects well and backs off. He loves women and loves his current foster dad, but sometimes, he is fearful of other men. He has been going out in public stores and working on his confidence. He loves getting treats from new friends, so we highly encourage his new family to continue doing that for positive experiences.  Atlas has been working very hard on his manners with the resident kitty. It took him a few weeks to understand he can't play with the cat whenever he wants. He is allowing the kitty to walk around the house without trying to chase her. He will do best with a dog savy cat or a home without a kitty friend.  Atlas is also working hard on his manners! He sits and waits until the food bowl is on the ground. He is also learning sit and wait hand signals and knows lay down. He take treats nicely, but if he gets a little too excited, he knows "nice". Atlas has great recall. He is such a human pleaser that he doesn't like to go far from them. He LOVES fetch! He loved all the toys but loves playing fetch. He will bring the ball back and drop it without you needing to tell him.  crate trained but is a big fan of cuddling with his humans Potty trained but it’s common for dogs especially ones who have been bounced around to need an adjustment period so he may have initial accidents in a new home okay with kids who are calmer and let him come on his terms but with a dog that is more on the shy/scared side, he needs to build trust with everyone he meets so we recommend no kids under 8.  loves being told when hes a "good boy". If you’re interested in adopting Atlas, and are Pre-approved, please private message us, or APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!) **Atlas’s  $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines to date, heartworm test, current vet check, and microchip. ##2302886##

Story
Meet the “Threes Company” Litter – Ready for Foster or Forever Homes! These four adorable siblings — Helen, Janet, Chrissy, and Jack — are ready to start their next chapter! Estimated DOB 12/24/25, these Christmas Eve cuties got a second chance when a kind NLOL supporter stepped in to keep them safe after they were being given away locally. Now they’re discovering what life as loved puppies should look like — full bellies, soft beds, and lots of attention! About the pups: • Social, friendly, and love people • Playful and curious little explorers • Learning all the puppy basics • Doing great, but would truly benefit from being separated into individual homes so they can focus on potty training and building confidence Like most siblings, they’re a fun little party together — but they’ll thrive best with one-on-one attention in foster or adoptive homes where they can grow into their best selves. They each need: • A foster home OR • A forever family ready for puppy life (and all the joy that comes with it!) Adoption Fee: $250 Includes: Spay/neuter Microchip Up-to-date vaccines Current vet check Ready to help one of these cuties? Story
Meet Cupid   Cupid is the kind of pup who hands out affection like it’s his full-time job… because, honestly, it kind of is. This sweet boy loves everyone he meets — humans, dogs, even cats are on his “approved friends” list. If you’re looking for a companion who brings a little extra warmth wherever he goes, Cupid is ready to report for duty   He’s a smart little guy with a curious streak, though he does have a touch of independence (think: charmingly stubborn, not difficult). He enjoys exploring but always likes to check back in with his person — like a tiny adventurer making sure home base is still right where he left it.   Cupid isn’t destructive and has great house manners overall, but he’s still working through one important hurdle: potty training. His kennel is not his favorite place, and he tends to have accidents in or around it, so a home willing to continue consistent training (and maybe rethink the crate approach) will set him up for success. The good news? He does communicate when he needs to go out — he’ll even wake you up at night like a polite little alarm clock   He’s not an alpha personality and would do well in a home that offers guidance, patience, and a steady routine. In return, you’ll get a loyal, loving pup who just wants to be near his people and soak up all the love he can.   Cupid at a glance: • Friendly with people, dogs, and cats • Smart, curious, and a little independent • Not destructive • Working on potty training • Prefers being close to his humans over kennel time   Cupid is ready to find a home that will help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be   Adoption fee: $250 Includes neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccines, and current vet check   Apply today at newleashdogrescue.com or message us if you’re pre-approved! ##2695920##
