Story
Hello, my name is Baby Girl! I am an 8-year-old female pitbull/english bulldog mix. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, spayed, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Couch Potato, Affectionate, Cuddly Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm a sweet old lady who's looking for a retirment home! Despite my age I still have some energy when excited. I LOVE playing with toys and I'm not picky about what kind! I get very excited when hearing my own name, so excited that my whole body does the shake!! When I've had my fill of playing I'd love nothing more than to cuddle up with my human (though I may try to climb in your lap). Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 3/10 Housetraining Status: With a routine, Baby Girl is quick to tell her humans when she has to go potty, and per her fosters, she has not had any accidents. I should do well in a home: I should do well in a home with: Baby Girl is currently living in a foster home with 2 cats of whom she does beautifully with! She sits and wags her tail waiting for them to approach her. I am required to meet any and all dogs in my potential home and I should do well with children of all ages. My favorite activities are: Despite being a senior I still have a bit of energy and LOVE playing with toys! Things I need work on are: Leash Walking Words from her Foster family: Baby Girl is just the sweetest old lady!! She just wants a couch (or 2) to lay on and a side of belly scratches. She’s made herself right at home and even my skittish cats don’t mind having her around Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: "Went on a nice little walk and she was so excited she ran for a little bit, and played with toys later." "Baby Girl was sweet and kind as soon as we met her. She was thrilled to play outside but loved just laying and getting pets with us as well. She was calm and quiet, happy to just be with us. She’d be a perfect dog for any type of household!" "Baby Girl was an absolute gem on her doggy day out! She did very well in the car and LOVED looking out the window. When playing outside, she was very energetic and loved to play fetch and sprint around. On her walk, she was very curious about all her surroundings and had to take in all the smells. Baby Girl is a BIG cuddle bug when it comes to getting cozy inside. All she wanted to do was snuggle up on your lap or right next to you and receive all the pets and love. Baby Girl is also very curious and wants to know what you’re doing if you are not with her. She’s like your little shadow. Overall, Baby Girl is such a sweet girl and would make the best companion for whoever adopts her." Story
Hi, I'm Jaycee! I'm a 2-year-old female husky/shepherd mix. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, spayed, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Shy, Curious, Friendly Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: My friends at CRHS believe I possibly could have been used as a breeding dog previously. I am very shy with new people, so I will need a home that's willing to take things at my pace. Once I get comfortable with you I am incredibly sweet. I would do best in a calm environment. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 5 or 6/10 Housetraining Status: I am working on it, but a consistent schedule and lots of praise will help me learn even faster! I should do well in a home: Due to my shy nature any children in my potential home will need to be 8 years or older. I should do fine with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. My friends at CRHS are unsure how I would do with cats. My favorite activities are: Sitting with a human in a calm environment and eating tasty snacks! Things I need work on are: Confidence building, housetraining, basic commands Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: N/A Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

I am current on my vaccines, and soon to be heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Handsome, Playful, Curious Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm a handsome little man with a big personality! I can be more shy and reserved around new people, but once I get to know you I'll gladly accept affection or even some tasty treats. I love playing with toys and I'm not picky about what kind! I would do best in a home that can be respectful of my boundaries. Story
Hi! My name is Maverick I am a 1 year old, (soon to be) neutered black Lab. I am (soon to be) microchipped, heartworm tested and current on my vaccines. 3 words that describe me: Playful, reserved, goofball. Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: “Shy at first but warms up fast with treats!”, “Loves playing fetch”, “Sweet and playful guy once he comes out of his shell” Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10) 7 – Playful guy! Housetraining Status: Working on it, needs training. I should do well in a home: I should do well in a home with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. I am required to have a dog to dog meet with any dogs in the home to make sure I am compatible with them, before going home. I have never met a cat before so my humans don’t know how I will be around them. I would do great in homes with children of any age but may prefer a quieter home due to my initial shyness. My favorite activities are: I’m a big fan of my toys. Rope toys and squeaky toys are pretty great, but nothing beats a good tennis ball! Things I need work on are: My confidence with new things, I’m a little shy at first. I also need some work with my house training as I sometimes have accidents. Any special needs: None Doggy day out notes: "It went pretty well overall. I believe Maverick, still has some things to work on but he is very sweet and likes to check in very often. His leash skills are pretty good. He stays very close to your side. He does know to sit but isn't very consistent with it yet. But the most amazing thing I discovered is he will catch a treat which was amazing. And he also loves tennis balls." "Maverick is a really good boy! He is so cuddly and sweet. He had a blast playing ball at the dog park. He was shy but sort of indifferent around humans and dogs at a very busy Petco. Loved the car and stays close to his humans." "Maverick did a great job on his doggy day out! He was very loving, curious and playful. He absolutely loved running around and playing fetch in our back yard." "Maverick is shy at first but fairly quick to warm up. He is a very sweet boy, very affectionate and likes to check in. He gets nervous is public settings like Petsmart but did great playing fetch. We were sad to return him!!" Daycare Status: I haven’t attended daycare yet, maybe some day. My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: None *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Do you like puppies? Of course you do. Do you want to adopt a puppy? Of COURSE you do! Look no further than our boy, Harry. As far as puppies come, Harry may just be the most perfect of them all. He loves people, other dogs of all sizes, and carries himself with the goofiest, floppiest, most carefree demeanor that will have you audibly saying, "Awww!" Since we know you just want to jump straight into loving this guy without the extra steps, Harry is current on his vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Goofy, Happy, Curious Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: My friends like to tell me that I'm the smooshiest, squishiest, floppiest, and HAPPIEST little man. I'm not quite sure what they mean, but it might have something to do with the way they love to squish my cute little cheeks and wiggle my floppy puppy ears. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 9/10, typical puppy energy! Housetraining Status: Working on it, but should have it down in no time with a consistent routine and lots of positive reinforcement. I should do well in a home: With kids and dogs of all ages given proper introductions. We're unsure how he would do with cats. My favorite activities are: Playing with toys and getting LOTS of attention. Things I need work on are: Housetraining, basic commands, and manners on leash. Story
Hi there, my name is Tigger! I am a 6-year-old neutered male. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped!! 3 words that describe me: Playful, content, loyal. Things Tiggers foster has to say about him: A very low key and easy boy. He gets along great with our dogs and is very respectful of our cats. He bonds very quickly with new people and will be your constant shadow. He would prefer to sleep in bed with his people but has settled for a crate next to the bed. He can be nervous/unsure in new situations and seeks reassurance from his people. Tigger is incredibly affectionate, giving hugs and kisses and he’ll nudge your hand if you’re not providing enough pets. He’s very content to spend all day lounging around when needed which is great since nobody wants to be outside in this weather! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 6 or 7/10 Housetraining Status: With a consistent routine, my foster mom says I am fully potty trained! I should do well in a home: Due to my timid personality, any children in my potential home will need to be 8 years or older. I am required to meet any and all dogs in the household before adoption. I ignored the cats in my previous home. My favorite activities are: Going for walks, playing fetch, and cuddling! Things I need work on are: My foster says I'm already pretty perfect but, I am a smart guy and could always learn new tricks! Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: "Tigger did super on his DD outing! He loved being out and exploring the great outdoors! He is a bit shy but once he warms up to you, which is quick, your his favorite person and loves your company! I have no doubt that he will thrive in a home setting. Love this boy💙" "Tigger did amazing on his DD outing! This was his 2nd outing with me and was more comfortable being out and around me. Tigger likes calm, quiet environments and going to places with very little activity. He is alot of fun getting to know and he I would love to see him out on more outings with other volunteers. That would be good for him💙" " Tigger did amazing on his DD outing! Such a sweet, mellow boy. He loved to be back at the house just lounging & napping but when it was time for a walk he was excited! He loves being out on walks! Tigger likes quiet, calm places to hang out at with little to no activity so he thoroughly enjoyed time spent at the house. Tigger is a bit shy but once he warms up to you he loves being near you enjoying your company. Love this little guy and he will make a very nice addition to a home💙" My adoption fee is: $300 *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal
