Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bear and Glacier are an absolutely precious senior bonded pair of Great Pyrenees who are ready for all your snuggles! This sweet brother-sister duo spent their entire lives together as outdoor dogs, and their devotion to each other is simply beautiful. After their owner became ill, they were cared for by her daughter, who unfortunately passed away from cancer. And now these tender souls find themselves in boarding, where they're patiently waiting for a foster or forever home to call their own. Bear, the handsome fellow with pink under his eye, and Glacier, the lovely lady with natural black eyeliner, are wonderfully mild-mannered seniors who would thrive in a home where they can get lots of attention. Their foster mom describes them as "the most gentle, calm and loving dogs who just want to be with their person." Their house-training status is unknown since they’re in boarding, but they both keep their kennels spotless, which bodes well for their future house-training. They've proven themselves excellent with cats (as long as the felines are respectful), non-reactive to other dogs, and are completely unfazed by donkeys and goats, though they're admittedly not fans of chickens! With a 4-foot fence, they're content as can be, and they're not diggers or big barkers unless someone unexpected arrives and they need to alert you. While they prefer spending time outdoors where they've always been most comfortable, they absolutely adore coming inside for snuggles and affection. They handle grooming beautifully because it means extra attention, and any people food is considered a special treat! These gems show no resource guarding whatsoever and meet new people with calm, loving energy. Their ideal forever home would be a farm with protected shelter offering warmth and dryness, or a house with a doggie door where they can choose their own indoor-outdoor adventures. Whether you're a senior looking for gentle companionship or a family with older children, Bear and Glacier would make absolutely perfect additions to your life! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*** Check Out Our Video Album Below! *** These two big, floofy cuties are Apollo and Dakota, and they are joined at the hips! Apollo (male) and Dakota (female) came into rescue together as a bonded pair, and where one goes, the other one will follow close behind - it is too adorable for words. Both Apollo and Dakota get along well with their four-legged foster siblings, and they adore their two-legged furless friends. In fact, they watch over kids as if they were their own, and the little ones naturally gravitate towards these gentle giants. Apollo and Dakota are both easy-going and have low-to-medium energy levels. They love hanging out in the backyard (a 6-foot fence would suit their needs), going on walks, and tagging along for car rides (bonus points if there are pup cups involved!). When not out and about, both of them love nothing more than to be petted and loved upon by their people. They walk well on leash and know some basic commands. They are also a couple of foodies, being very food-motivated and loving treats of any kind! While hanging out together is their norm, they dine separately, as Apollo tends to be protective of his kibble. These two sweet love bugs are such happy-go-lucky pups that we are pawsitive they will thrive in a home where they will be showered with love and attention. What's better than one gentle giant, you ask? Well, TWO of course! What say you, are you ready to open your home and your heart to Apollo and Dakota? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Snow Bear is a big, fluffy love-bug with a heart as soft as his fur. Despite a very difficult start to his life, Snow Bear has endured and retained his sweet spirit. He is currently in boarding, so he would love either a foster or furever home. He’s happiest lounging in the sunshine, getting brushed, and hanging out with his dog friends. While he enjoys attention, he’s a laid-back guy who’s also perfectly content to hang out in your vicinity with the occasional ear rub. He’s a bit of an independent spirit—he knows what “no” means (especially when digging holes), but listening…? - As for all Great Pyrs, that’s optional! Snow Bear walks well on a leash but prefers to take care of business off-leash in his own time. His perfect home would include a 5’ fenced yard, a patient and kind pyrent or two, possibly a canine friend to pal around with, and a comfy spot outside to soak up the sun. His overall gentle nature indicates he’d likely do well in a calm, loving environment for his forever home. Does Snow Bear sound like just the missing piece for your family? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Meet Samson, the Fluffy Blanket Fluffer who is blind but full of love! This handsome boy may be blind, but that doesn’t stop him from being the sweetest companion you’ll ever meet! Samson's journey started when he showed up at an elderly woman's house. After a few twists and turns, he found his way to NGPR, where he's now in boarding and ready to find a foster or forever home. He needs to gain 15-20 pounds, but that will soon be cured with plenty of good meals and love. Samson is a master blanket fluffer and loves to make his bed just right before settling down. He's gentle on the leash, enjoys walks, and loves to lean on you for guidance. He's a friendly guy who wags his tail when meeting new people and is very gentle. Plus, he has no interest in cats or other dogs, making him the perfect solo pet or a great addition to a multi-pet household. Samson is currently behind a 5 ft chain link fence but has tried to escape. A 6 ft wooden privacy fence or a leash walk-only home would be best. He's not a barker unless he needs to go out, and is terrified of loud noises like fireworks, but does fine if he is inside with his people. Samson would thrive in a home with a family that is around. He can be an only pet or live with a cat or dog sibling. He doesn’t need a large yard and would do fine in a leash walk-only situation. Samson is a happy boy who loves attention and will give you his companionship in return. If you're looking for a loving and gentle companion, Samson is the perfect match for you! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Meet Snowman, a fluffy white Pyr boy whose sunny disposition will melt your heart faster than a snowflake on a warm day! This gentle giant was found wandering along the highway with his brother, and though their original owner was located, they were surrendered because these adventurous boys just wouldn't stay put at home. Now Snowman is currently in boarding, dreaming of a foster or forever home where he can finally settle down and spread his winter joy. Despite his wandering past, he's pretty good on leash and would do well with a 5-foot fence to keep him safely in his new kingdom. Snowman is an absolute sweetheart with people—his tail is always wagging like a happy snow flurry, and while he might be a touch shy when meeting new friends at first, he warms up beautifully. He's wonderful with other dogs, remarkably gentle with cats (giving them curious sniffs with his cold nose), and would be great with older kids who can appreciate his sweet, loving nature. This good boy adores pets and attention, and when he's not soaking up affection, you'll find him contentedly watching the birds as they fly the skies. His housebreaking status is unknown since he's been in boarding, but with those sweet manners and eagerness to please, Snowman is ready to be the perfect addition to a loving home that can give him the stability and warmth he so craves!
