✅️Currently fostered in South Korea✅️ Meet Yeoreum💕 (It means summer in Korean) * Toward People: Likes people, but lacks sufficient familiarity. Is not used to be petted, but she would open up to people if they pet her often and gently!🩷 * Toward Dogs: Has a good relationship with others! Gets along well with other dogs.🥰 * Separation Anxiety & Potty Training: Does outdoor potty at the Adogs center. 💌Special Note💌 We are unable to determine the extent of separation anxiety and potty training as she is still living in a center environment with group living. ❗Rescue Story❗ Yeoreum is one of the dogs that Adogs rescued from a dog meat farm. Even though she had the terrible memories of witnessing other dogs being killed one by one in a dog farm, she overcame it and is doing good at the Adogs Center.

Story
Hi there, I’m Osa! A very pretty, soft, and fluffy Great Pyrenees puppy about 4 months old and weighing 22 lbs. I was dumped in front of a house in Mission, Texas, and thankfully, the owners took me in. I was covered with fleas and underweight, so they contacted 4 Little Paws Rescue, and now I’m staying at a foster home in San Antonio, feeling great and having some fun while getting ready to find a wonderful forever home. Not only am I almost too adorable for words, but I am also a really good girl, smart and well-behaved, already housebroken, learning to sit, and I’m crate-trained. I have a medium energy level, a loving personality, and a happy attitude. I am very loyal, a bit velcro dog, following you from room to room, even leaving my food behind to be at your side. I guess I was starved for affection, but I don't freak out when you leave me at home. I’m sweet, kissy, and affectionate, and I love all humans, young and old, and other dogs too. I love walks and car rides, and could never get tired of playing catch and chase with a ball. My foster mom says I have a wonderful personality, cheerful disposition, am eager to learn, eager to please, and will make any family proud to call me their forever dog. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Alex (GA) is a male Great Pyrenees mix rescued in Georgia, estimated to be 7 months old in October 2021 and likely to be 85-95 pounds when full-grown. His foster mom says he is a 'giant, crazy and insanely happy puppy!' All people are his friends (he especially loves men!), he loves other dogs, and even likes cats.  Alex will do best in a suburban home with a fenced yard and an energetic doggy companion on the larger side who wants to play much of the day. He loves to eat as much as he loves to play. If there are children in the home, they should be on the older side: Alex really doesn't know how big he is!  He's working on his chewing, mouthing, leash and meal-time manners - the usual puppy behaviors which will benefit from continued and consistent training in his adoptive home as he grows into adulthood. True to his breed, he can be stubborn, he is very smart and his big personality matches his size. He has a true zest for life, so he's a fun, interesting and busy guy!  Alex has been neutered and microchipped, and will be up to date on core vaccines (age appropriate) at time of adoption. If you would like to take Alex home, please apply online to adopt Alex (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 10:34 am

Story
Notorious - 11 Months, 80lbs, PYR Mix, Neutered - Expected to be about 95lbs Full Grown  This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org. Thier Foster Parent Says:" Notorious is a wonderfully affectionate and gentle giant puppy, currently ~11months old and weighing about 80 pounds. He thrives on cuddles and pats and is highly motivated by treats, which makes training him a rewarding experience as he learns commands quickly. He enjoys long walks twice a day, he is surprisingly easy to walk, and loves playing with his toys and especially with other dogs, showing great friendliness and gentle play behavior no matter the other dog's size. Notorious has a special bond with his foster brother (70 pound social tee's grad) and is respectful of household rules, such as not getting on furniture. Despite his large size and playful nipping, he is very gentle and still learning that humans are not playmates in the same way dogs are. He has a charming habit of using his butt to bump into people or other dogs during play. He sleeps soundly through the night and is mostly calm and relaxed during the day. Due to his size and energetic, floppy nature, he might not be ideal around very small children as he can accidentally bump into them, but he loves kids. He would do best in a home with a backyard (currently in a small NYC apartment and doing great) and a dog friend to play with but is also content to chill on his own. Overall, Notorious is a smart, loving, and well-behaved large puppy who would make a joyful companion for an active family prepared to handle his size and energy." Level of dog ownership experience needed:INTERMEDIATE: This dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) Energy levelMEDIUM: Needs a daily 60-90 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Potty trained?Probably! Adults usually are, but all will have transitional accidents for the first week or so. A consistent walking route and schedule plus finding spots with grass or dirt can help. Social with other dogs?Yes, but we don’t know to what degree yet. Some like to wrestle with every passing pup, others can coexist well but prefer to keep to themselves. We’ll learn more soon. Social with cats? Not sure yet! Some breed mixes that are generally NOT great matches for homes with cats include large hounds, huskies, and shepherds.  Comfortable with children?  (ALWAYS requires adult supervision)We’re not sure yet, but we try to err on the side of caution. Respectful kids ages 8 and up are probably a safe bet. Children must always be monitored and taught to interact with dogs of any age respectfully.  Okay in the city?We don’t know yet. Most adult dogs do well in the city after they’ve had time to adjust to a new environment, but some never adapt and need homes in the burbs.  Medical statusHealthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm negative; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Puerto Rico or Southern California. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes.
