DO NOT CALL RESCUE but if you have questions u can TEXT NO CALLS to 5857464609/9145522656 - please do an application BEFORE texting MORE VIDEO ON REQUEST! Meet Boone! Oh this is a super cool dog - truly a super model and spectacular! Acoording to his family - HOUSETRAINED and CRATE TRAINED... lover still with a puppy spirit - super delicious in every way. He is best in a home without young children, as typical of his breed, he loves to watch over the ones he loves and protects them if he feels threatened. He came from a family who had him since he was a puppy and adore him but there are too many small kids now in the extended family and it is stressing poor Boone. He gets along fine with their other dog and their kids. Has NEVER shown aggression to any family member - just gets edgy with others. He loves to play in the yard and is GREAT on a leash and loves being by your side. So smart and would love to go to a doggy class to learn more advanced cool skills. Great for an active or laid back family who wants not just a super model but a gorgeous lover. Just a super cool mix and sooo handsome and gentle. Wants to love u and for u to love him badly! His family reports, "Boone is a lovable, energetic, 2-year-old pup. He's a medium-sized dog, weighing ~65 lbs and is full-grown. He is a short-haired dog with the best freckles. He loves going on long walks and playing with other dogs. He's never met a dog he didn't love. He would do great in a home with another dog who is happy to have a friend to play with. He is food-driven and responsive to commands - sit, stay, lay down, go to your bed, etc. He has been through puppy class training and 1-1 obedience training. He walks well on a leash but should remain leashed as recall is not yet there for off-leash. He is completely house-trained. He asks to go outside when he needs to go. He sleeps through the night. He's an early to bed little guy and will sleep in when given the opportunity. He does well in the car and enjoys a long drive. He does not like the water, rain will keep him indoors and swimming isn't an activity he engages in. He loves to snuggle and is incredibly loving. He would be best placed in a home without children, as he has shown anxiety around children he doesn't know well and it is unpredictable how he responds to children. He adores all adults, exuding excitement whenever he meets someone new. Boone is neutered and up-to-date on all shots and vet care. He has a mild skin allergy that is currently treated with one 16 mg pill of Apoquel daily. He has not been diagnosed with a specific allergy and it is anticipated that he will outgrow this. We greatly adore him but want him to live a stress free life and unfortunately we worry our home could make him more upset about unknown children who come and go too often." Boone is a big dog but about 65 lbs very tall and is a good weight - he is close to a perfect size right now. He has had his vaccines and microchip and has been dewormed/defleaed too. HEARTWORM NEGATIVE neutered etc... Donation minimum required and all of his vetting is complete. Out of state adopters MUST pick up in South Salem NY - no exceptions.

Story
I’m Annie! I’m a 1-2-year-old Pyrenees mix, weighing in at about 58 pounds of fluffy love. I might be a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you—I’m really just a big softie looking for a cozy forever home. Once I warm up to you, I’m all about those sweet moments of affection and snuggles. I absolutely love being pet! I’m also pretty good on a leash, if I do say so myself. I enjoy leisurely walks where I can take in all the sights, sounds, and smells around me. What I’m really looking for is a family who understands that I might need a little time to adjust, but once I do, I’ll be the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for. The people here at the rescue wanted me to also share that my spay is scheduled. I’ve got a gentle spirit and a big heart, just waiting to find a place to call home. If you’re looking for a sweet and affectionate friend who loves to be close, then I might be the gal for you! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Shy girl alert! Baby Girl is a beautiful 1 1/2 year old Pyrenees mix who is a bit human shy, but so wants to be loved. Baby Girl was rescued from a bad situation in rural MO where she lived on a farm and received regular beatings for killing chickens. When they finally threw her away, she made her way to another farm where the owner let her stay until we could get her to NY. Baby Girl is a demure girl. She loves to play with other dogs and doesn't mind cats. She's just not good with chickens. Baby Girl is going to need a patient home where her owner understands to let Baby Girl come to them. She loves curling up on the sofa and getting pet and scratched, but does run if she's approached. She deserves to have the opportunity to experience love and learn to trust no one will hurt her again.
