We gave this gem of a girl the name of Pearl - pearl because she is precious, even though her former owner didn't think so. Pearl and her brother (already adopted) were left behind by their owner when they moved. They were just discarded and left to fend for themselves after being used to having a family. It's still hard for us to understand why people would do this. Luckily we were able to find Pearl and a wonderful temporary foster. Pearl is a pyrenees mix who the vet estimates to be about 5 years old. She weighs 53 pounds. Pearl has received her vaccinations and has tested negative for heartworm. She was treated for anaplasmosis and has been spayed. The vet trimmed her toenails while she was under sedation (for the spay). Poor girl - they had grown so long that they deeply embedded themselves into her paw pads. But she's all healed now. Now that she is receiving proper care and attention we just need to find her a forever home. She is described as being a calm, super sweet, wonderful, and friendly girl. She would be perfect for a family looking for a calm dog. Is your household looking for a precious gem like Pearl? If yes, please apply to give her a happy, loving home. Spending a long time there, she was about to be put down, but Adogs was able to rescue her just in the nick of time. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Has a calm and timid personality and is slow to adapt to new environments. When strangers approach her, she tends to avoid them and leaves the area. Previously, she had to be cornered for touching to be possible, but has recently become more comfortable with pets. Still, she doesn’t stay still and tries to get away if strangers pick her up. She also runs away from familiar people, but she can be leashed and touched when cornered. She accepts treats if you drop it on the ground. * With Dogs: If a new dog approaches too closely or annoys her, she growls and snarls to express her displeasure. May bite other dogs so caution is needed. * With Cats: Shows no reaction to cats she encounters during walks and focuses on the person walking with her. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed yet since she lives communally with other dogs at our center. May need training in a home environment. * Potty Training: Unknown, since she lives communally at our center. * Grooming: Was given a bath after getting dirty on a walk, and calmly accepted it! * Walks: Runs away and avoids the leash, but once the leash is actually on, she follows her handler well on walks. * Car Sickness: Does not show any symptoms of motion sickness during short distances, like when going to the veterinary clinic. Unclear how she would do on long-distance trips. * Biting: When another dog suddenly approaches and gets too pushy, she growls to tell them to stop. * Likes: Has a strong appetite and loves to eat. Enjoys resting indoors alone. She has had extended kennel training so she is able to handle long periods of crating, such as if she goes on an airplane or on a long drive. * Dislikes: Gets surprised and runs away when people approach, but accepts pets calmly once you actually manage to touch her.

Born on October 18th, Dennis is just 8 weeks old as of December 15th and already tipping the scales at 15 pounds—a solid start for a boy who’s sure to grow into a big, beautiful companion. Dennis has a wonderfully independent nature for such a young pup. He likes to keep his people within sight but is perfectly content relaxing or napping on his own, a trait so common in Great Pyrenees dogs. He’s not clingy or demanding—just calmly present and observant, taking in the world around him at his own pace. Curious and adventurous, Dennis loves exploring both the house and the backyard, confidently checking out new spaces and smells. He’s playful and enjoys toys and romping around with his brother, and he’s especially intrigued by his 100-pound foster brother. He very much wants to play—he’s just still figuring out how to interact with someone that big! Dennis is a brave little guy who doesn’t hesitate to try new things. Whether it’s hopping off the couch, stepping down from the deck, or boldly initiating play, he approaches life with quiet confidence. His activity level sits at a comfortable 5/10, making him an easygoing puppy who enjoys playtime but also appreciates downtime.His mom is a pure Great Pyrenees, and while dad is unknown, the entire litter of ten puppies is showing classic Pyr traits—laid-back personalities, thoughtful independence, and calm energy. Potty training has been surprisingly easy at such a young age. Dennis is already learning good habits, and by 12 weeks old, these puppies may be very well on their way to being reliably trained. Of course, accidents can still happen with small bladders, but they’re doing great. The pups are also being introduced to a bell system to signal when they need to go outside, which may be a wonderful tool for achieving early and consistent potty training success. Dennis is going to grow into a large breed boy who will be 65-75 pounds and will shine as a devoted companion who is equal parts gentle, brave, and beautifully independent. Billie is just 8 weeks old (as of December 14) and already showing signs of becoming a gentle giant. With her soft, short coat and soulful expressions, she has a way of melting hearts instantly—even the Grinch wouldn’t stand a chance. Billie is a happy, affectionate puppy who loves life and everyone in it. She’s playful, full of joyful puppy energy, and absolutely adores toys and romping around with her brother. When playtime winds down, Billie is all about hugs and cuddles, soaking up affection like a pro. SHe recently spent an entire day with two five-year-olds and handled it like a true lady—patiently being carried, included in imaginative play, and even going for a ride on a big wheel. Jumping Jack Junior is a dog with a huge smile and the most handsome good looks ever. He is a Golden/Great Pyr mix that is only one year old and weighs 61 pounds. We are guessing his breed but he seems more Golden in size and then more Great Pyr in appearance. This boy is joyous and couldn't be more of a free spirit and with an inviting personality to come and play with him and let him love your family. Junior found himself in a Texas shelter because his owner was evicted from her home. The two small 15 pound dogs living there with Junior, also lost their home and are in the shelter. Junior has been a great big brother to these small dogs and he is most certainly now willing and able to be a friend to other small dogs and animals if needed. He has no aggression in his soul and he is NOT reactive to any new encounters with other dogs when on a leash. He is passive and fun loving and adores meeting new people to become his friend. He is leash trained and housebroken and just one of those gorgeous A+++ dogs that you really need to consider taking home if you like the bigger than life luxurious dogs. He is a Jumping Jack Prince of a dog.... Junior promises to be one of your best decision when adopting a dog to be by your side for the next 15 years.
