Story
Meet Dennis, a handsome Great Pyrenees mix puppy with a gentle soul and a quietly confident spirit. Born on October 18th, Dennis is just 8 weeks old as of December 15th and already tipping the scales at 15 pounds—a solid start for a boy who’s sure to grow into a big, beautiful companion. Dennis has a wonderfully independent nature for such a young pup. He likes to keep his people within sight but is perfectly content relaxing or napping on his own, a trait so common in Great Pyrenees dogs. He’s not clingy or demanding—just calmly present and observant, taking in the world around him at his own pace. Curious and adventurous, Dennis loves exploring both the house and the backyard, confidently checking out new spaces and smells. He’s playful and enjoys toys and romping around with his brother, and he’s especially intrigued by his 100-pound foster brother. He very much wants to play—he’s just still figuring out how to interact with someone that big! Dennis is a brave little guy who doesn’t hesitate to try new things. Whether it’s hopping off the couch, stepping down from the deck, or boldly initiating play, he approaches life with quiet confidence. His activity level sits at a comfortable 5/10, making him an easygoing puppy who enjoys playtime but also appreciates downtime. His mom is a pure Great Pyrenees, and while dad is unknown, the entire litter of ten puppies is showing classic Pyr traits—laid-back personalities, thoughtful independence, and calm energy. Potty training has been surprisingly easy at such a young age. Dennis is already learning good habits, and by 12 weeks old, these puppies may be very well on their way to being reliably trained. Of course, accidents can still happen with small bladders, but they’re doing great. The pups are also being introduced to a bell system to signal when they need to go outside, which may be a wonderful tool for achieving early and consistent potty training success. Dennis is going to grow into a large breed boy who will be 65-75 pounds and will shine as a devoted companion who is equal parts gentle, brave, and beautifully independent. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 20, 2025, 12:12 am

Story
Meet Billie, a little mystery girl with big paws and an even bigger heart. Her mom is 100% Great Pyrenees and we don't know who Dad was.  Billie is just 8 weeks old (as of December 14) and already showing signs of becoming a gentle giant. With her soft, short coat and soulful expressions, she has a way of melting hearts instantly—even the Grinch wouldn’t stand a chance.  Billie is a happy, affectionate puppy who loves life and everyone in it. She’s playful, full of joyful puppy energy, and absolutely adores toys and romping around with her brother. When playtime winds down, Billie is all about hugs and cuddles, soaking up affection like a pro. SHe recently spent an entire day with two five-year-olds and handled it like a true lady—patiently being carried, included in imaginative play, and even going for a ride on a big wheel. Billie’s calm, sweet nature makes her a wonderful candidate for a family with children. Though she’s never met a stranger, Billie can be a little unsure of loud outdoor noises—perfectly normal for a baby her age and something she’ll quickly outgrow as her confidence grows. If you’re ready for puppy kisses, playful zoomies, and the kind of unconditional love only a puppy can give, Billie may be your perfect match.  Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.  Ready January 9th 2026       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 17, 2025, 9:26 pm

Story
North is our Gentle Soul   Meet North, a Great Pyrenees mix boy born in mid-October who already carries the calm wisdom of an old soul in a fluffy puppy body. In his short time in the world, North has experienced a variety of environments, people, and situations — and he has handled every single one with quiet confidence and an open heart. To North, everyone he meets is simply a friend he hasn’t been properly introduced to yet.   His Pyrenees mama’s influence shines through beautifully in his laid-back, steady personality. North enjoys playful moments, but he’s just as happy slowly following his foster mom from room to room, keeping her company and observing the world around him. And if there’s a lap nearby? He’s absolutely convinced it was placed there just for him — even though he’s expected to grow into a big boy of at least 80 pounds one day and may never accept that he’s not meant to be a lap puppy forever.   North radiates a soothing, peaceful energy that makes you instantly feel at ease. He’s the kind of dog who seems to sense when you need comfort, making him a wonderful candidate for someone seeking a steady emotional support companion. This isn’t a nonstop, high-energy puppy who needs constant action — North is perfect for someone who values connection, loyalty, and quiet companionship. He’s off to a great start with potty training and shows a strong preference for doing his business outside in the grass. With regular outings, accidents are rare, and his intelligence and eagerness to please make it clear he’ll continue to thrive with guidance and consistency.    North is the kind of puppy who doesn’t just grow into a dog — he grows into your dog. Loyal, loving, calm, and deeply devoted, he’s simply waiting for the person or family lucky enough to call him home.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you need this boy in your life       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 20, 2025, 12:12 am

Story
Jumping Jack Junior is a dog with a huge smile and the most handsome good looks ever.   He is a Golden/Great Pyr mix that is only one year old and weighs 61 pounds.  We are guessing his breed but he seems more Golden in size and then more Great Pyr in appearance.  This boy is joyous and couldn't be more of a free spirit and  with an inviting personality to come and play with him and let him love your family.  Junior found himself in a Texas shelter because his owner was evicted from her home.  The two small 15 pound dogs living there with Junior, also lost their home and are in the shelter.  Junior has been a great big brother to these small dogs and he is most certainly now willing and able to be a friend to other small dogs and animals if needed.  He has no aggression in his soul and he is NOT reactive to any new encounters with other dogs when on a leash.  He is passive and fun loving and adores meeting new people to become his friend.  He is leash trained and housebroken and just one of those gorgeous A+++ dogs that you really need to consider taking home if you like the bigger than life luxurious dogs.  He is a Jumping Jack Prince of a dog.... Junior promises to be one of your best decision when adopting a dog to be by your side for the next 15 years.  If you are interested please don't hesitate and contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   We can adopt him to Tennessee residents and also can transport him to northeastern families.  Just mention when you live when inquiring and asking for an application.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 19, 2025, 1:16 pm

Story
Meet Harry, a precious 8-week-old (as of December 14) Great Pyrenees mix (mom is full Great Pyr) who is already winning hearts everywhere he goes. With his soft short coat and soulful puppy eyes, this sweet boy is a bit of a mystery mix—but one thing is certain: he’s going to grow into a large, beautiful dog with an even more beautiful heart. Harry is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and full of joyful puppy energy. He loves tumbling around with toys, playing, and then curling up for snuggles when it’s time to rest. One of his most endearing traits is how thoughtful he is—sometimes he’ll simply sit and watch his foster mom, as if he’s carefully studying the world and learning how to be the very best companion. Goofy, curious, and endlessly lovable, Harry has that special spark that makes you smile without even trying. He’s the kind of puppy who brings warmth and happiness into every room he enters. If you’re ready for puppy kisses, playful zoomies, and a lifetime of unconditional love, Harry might be the perfect match for your family.   Elton – A Gentle Giant in the Making   Elton is a handsome Great Pyrenees mix puppy born on October 18, and as of today (December 21), he is just over 9 weeks old and already 17 pounds. He’s growing fast, but his sweet, thoughtful personality is what truly stands out. This little guy is already doing so well with potty training. Elton can go 4–5 hours overnight without accidents and sweetly lets his foster know when he needs to go outside with a soft little whine. He’s the kind of puppy who watches, learns, and genuinely wants to do the right thing. When he’s awake, his adventurous side shines as he explores the house and backyard, carefully taking in the world around him. Story
This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 110 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up-to-date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides. Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! If you would like to be Charlie’s forever family please email dogs4mylife@ gmail.com or olmc7@ hotmail.com. If you are inquiring from a Gmail address. It is best to use our Gmail address or you might have to look for us in your spam.
