Story
***Please note this is an "out of town" pet. This pet will be transported once they have a committed family. All transportation fees are already included in the adoption fees.*** Gidget Joy (Gigi) is a 1 year old playful, friendly, gentle, athletic young dog with lots of energy! She is a perfect mix - we believe she has some retriever, some Pyrenees and perhaps even some hound! She is a sweet, affectionate, and goofy little pup! She is always ready for a game of throw or an exciting walk. Gigi is a great companion for active people who love the outdoors. She is super friendly and will walk right up to you and say hi! She will be your best friend in no time, and she gets along great with other dogs! She is crate-trained and house-broken. She is a very loving dog and will make a great addition to your family. We know you'll love her as much as we do! Gigi was dumped by her former owner, and the kind folks that found her brought her to FWFP for a new beginning! Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs — for them, one application will be fine. Because we have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news, and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions finding our fur babies the most loving homes. Please do not apply if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Gigi the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age-appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention, and travel expenses. All our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for their transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to JFK & EWR💟 Meet Yeoreum💕 (her name means “Summer” in Korean) 💙 Name : Yeoreum 💙 Gender : Female 💙 Age : Estimated 3 years old (Born in February 2022) 💙 Weight : 20 kg / 44 lb 💙 Adogs News Account : @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped and hearworm negative. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Yeoreum is one of the dogs that the Adogs team rescued from a dogslaughter farm in 2022. Spending a long time there, she was about to be put down, but Adogs was able to rescue her just in the nick of time. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Has a calm and timid personality and is slow to adapt to new environments. When strangers approach her, she tends to avoid them and leaves the area. Previously, she had to be cornered for touching to be possible, but has recently become more comfortable with pets. Still, she doesn’t stay still and tries to get away if strangers pick her up. She also runs away from familiar people, but she can be leashed and touched when cornered. She accepts treats if you drop it on the ground. * With Dogs: If a new dog approaches too closely or annoys her, she growls and snarls to express her displeasure. May bite other dogs so caution is needed. * With Cats: Shows no reaction to cats she encounters during walks and focuses on the person walking with her. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed yet since she lives communally with other dogs at our center. May need training in a home environment. * Potty Training: Unknown, since she lives communally at our center. * Grooming: Was given a bath after getting dirty on a walk, and calmly accepted it! * Walks: Runs away and avoids the leash, but once the leash is actually on, she follows her handler well on walks. * Car Sickness: Does not show any symptoms of motion sickness during short distances, like when going to the veterinary clinic. Unclear how she would do on long-distance trips. * Biting: When another dog suddenly approaches and gets too pushy, she growls to tell them to stop. * Likes: Has a strong appetite and loves to eat. Enjoys resting indoors alone. She has had extended kennel training so she is able to handle long periods of crating, such as if she goes on an airplane or on a long drive. * Dislikes: Gets surprised and runs away when people approach, but accepts pets calmly once you actually manage to touch her.

Story
We gave this gem of a girl the name of Pearl - pearl because she is precious, even though her former owner didn't think so.  Pearl and her brother (already adopted) were left behind by their owner when they moved.  They were just discarded and left to fend for themselves after being used to having a family.  It's still hard for us to understand why people would do this.   Luckily we were able to find Pearl and a wonderful temporary foster. Pearl is a pyrenees mix who the vet estimates to be about 5 years old.  She weighs 53 pounds.  Pearl has received her vaccinations and has tested negative for heartworm.  She was treated for anaplasmosis and has been spayed.  The vet trimmed her toenails while she was under sedation (for the spay).  Poor girl - they had grown so long that they deeply embedded themselves into her paw pads.  But she's all healed now.   Now that she is receiving proper care and attention we just need to find her a forever home.  She is described as being a calm, super sweet, wonderful, and friendly girl.  She would be perfect for a family looking for a calm dog. Is your household looking for a precious gem like Pearl?  If yes, please apply to give her a happy, loving home. Personality: calm, sweet, friendly, affectionate Good with: people of all ages (including kids), and dogs (submissive to other dogs).  Has not been cat tested yet. Estimated date of birth: July 2020 Weight: 53 pounds Medical: vetted, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next transport.  For more videos of Pearl, check out her YouTube playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmB5-2QLmiJOxvWvcslGBNhxEYhniBG9o If you have any questions please email: friendsforlifeanimalrescue@gmail.com To apply to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/210286667669167 We always need fosters, please join us!  https://form.jotform.com/210257395409155 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. ** Tune in to our Facebook page (Great Pyrenees Rescue Society - GPRS) every Sunday at 3pm CT to see our dogs LIVE!  You can also find previous episodes on our YouTube channel (@gprspyrs). If you would like a specific dog to be featured on our show, please email us at info@greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org.** Meet Humphry—a sweet little lovebug with the soul of a poet. As the biggest pup in his litter, you might assume he would be the rowdy kid in the bunch, but Humphry’s the one quietly taking it all in—like a little philosopher in fur. While his siblings bounce and tumble, Humphry is often found taking in the world with curious eyes, as if he’s making sure he doesn’t miss a single detail. Born in May 2025, Humphry is the kind of pup who’d rather give you a soft puppy kiss than wrestle for the spotlight. He’s a certified snuggler, happiest when he’s curled up in your lap and soaking in every hug and kiss you’re willing to give. Calm, sweet, and irresistibly cuddly, Humphry is proof that the biggest paws can belong to the softest soul. Whoever scoops up this little cutie is in for a lifetime of puppy smooches and loyal companionship. Humphry will need obedience training as he gets older and mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, he will need someone who can be home with him a lot and provide him with love, patience and boundaries to help him become a loyal companion. He loves the companionship of other animals and requires another dog in the home to act as his mentor as he continues to understand the rules of his new world. ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206. PUPPIES ARE ONLY PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOGS WHO ARE AT LEAST 50 POUNDS. Our requirements for puppy adoptions are simple and necessary. Our puppies are not livestock guardians, they are family pets that live inside of the family home. Puppies must be placed in homes with a youthful, adult resident dog of similar size. This gives the puppy a mentor and a solid foundation for becoming part of the family. Puppies are only adopted to homes with someone at home at least part of the day. If no one is home for 6-8 hours at a time, please do not apply. Preference is always given to those with Great Pyrenees experience. Applicants must have secure, visible fencing and a socialization plan in place. The fastest way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. Adoption is not first come, first served. GPRS and its fosters work diligently to find the right fit for each and every unique dog and puppy. Applicant’s personal pets must be current on vaccines & heartworm/flea prevention and be altered. Adoption fee: $450 (Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and health certificate for travel). Adopters pay the cost of transport services outside of Texas area. Transport costs depend on location and company used. Northeast transport fee is $200. The Northwest and Midwest transport fees range from $225-$350, The Southeast transport fees range from $250-$350. GPRS has proudly placed thousands of Great Pyrenees and GP mixes in the PNW for over a decade. Our volunteers have over 100 years combined experience fostering, screening, and placing this majestic breed into loving, forever homes. When adopting from us, you can rest assured that we provide life-long support and advice when it comes to your new family member. As always, our purpose is to find the best match for every unique dog that comes through our doors. Taking the time to find the right fit comes first and foremost at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society. If you are interested in adopting, please take the time, and apply. You will see firsthand how much care, attention and love goes into the process, when you are guided a personal screener. This is why we have people come back again and again for their next family member!
